Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 21 Void ZergChapter 21 Void Zerg
City 315 was destroyed, with hundreds of millions of casualties. Fortunately, most of the people here are spiritual clones from the main universe. If a war breaks out on the Blue River Administrative Star, most of the native population will probably be wiped out in one go.

By the time Liu Wen’s fleet had not yet arrived at City 314, the verdict on Shangguan Xi and Duanmu Yiyong had been announced and notified throughout the territory.

Since Shangguan Xi was a school officer of the Imperial Guards, he had the right to crack down on pirates and hunt down criminals. This time he was judged to have handled the case excessively, and he was personally responsible for half of the property losses caused. Later, Prince Duan paid for it, and he was sent to the front line to develop the fleet to redeem himself for his crime.

Duanmu Yiyong is the leader of the Black Dragon Pirates and a level one wanted criminal of the Blue River Empire. After being implanted with a mental lock, he can also join the frontline suicide squad and be granted amnesty if he kills twenty enemies of the same level.

The entire process was completed in less than two days. With the joint efforts of many teams and companies, 315 cities have initially built a framework. At the very least, the bases of each team have reappeared on the land.

”A sixth-level psychic was sent to the front line just like that. Shangguan Xi is fine, after all, she was sent there as an officer to redeem herself from her crime. According to her rank, she can still command a small fleet. At most, the missions she performs will be slightly more dangerous. She just needs to be careful and make some meritorious contributions, and that’s all.”

Bai Haitang held the sentencing notice and looked at Duanmu Yiyong, who looked defiant. ”This guy has no chance of survival. Even if he kills 19 of his peers, he will definitely fall to the last one. The military won’t really let someone who betrayed them leave the death squad alive.”

”I heard that the Blue River Empire’s military is very protective of its own people. Is that true?” Fatty Blue asked Bai Haitang with great interest.

Bai Haitang graduated from a regular college after all, and the information channels in the college are much better than those of Liu Wenlan and the others. A lot of intelligence information comes in the form of after-dinner chats in the circle. Even places like local intelligence stations are not as comprehensive as the information brought by nepotism.

”It’s true. Although there are many factions within the military, they are united on one point, and that’s when facing the outside world,” Bai Haitang explained.

”But there is one thing, you have to bear the trouble yourself, but they will do their best to solve the people who caused the trouble.”

”How much do you know about the pioneering fleet?” Liu Wen asked curiously.

”Boss, are you really planning to explore freely? The loss rate is very high. More than 90% of the pioneering fleets will give up the right to explore because of the high loss rate.” Bai Haitang wanted to persuade Liu Wen that it is not so easy to explore abroad. Alien civilizations are easy to deal with, but the second world has more than just alien civilization as an enemy. Even in the heart of human civilization, there is such a thing as a subspace battlefield.

Liu Wen smiled and said, ”Don’t worry, I’m not in a hurry. Our current strength is indeed too low. We need at least a legion-level fleet to get the development order. Now I just want to understand the situation.”

”It’s good that the boss knows what’s going on.” Bai Haitang was really afraid that he would rush out on a whim. Now she is still under contract. Once Liu Wen goes to explore the star field, she will definitely have to follow him. Otherwise, she won’t be able to come up with the termination fee, and that would become real money.

”It’s easy to get a development order, but you must leave the human territory and enter the undeveloped star region within three months after receiving it. The entire process is issued and supervised by the Human Kingdom Union, also known as the Human Union.”

”We also support the development of the Lord Alliance. We can buy all kinds of privileges and commodities that are not open to the inside, such as military warships, high-power detection radars, weapon production lines, etc., as long as you have the resources. We also give the green light to recruit people. Human countries can recruit at will. Except for serious criminals from various countries, as long as they are willing to follow you, there are no restrictions.”

Bai Haitang told everything she knew about the Development Order, and said that in the end she was even tempted to get an Order, because if she got it, it would be hers.

Liu Wen and others listened to Bai Haitang’s explanation with their eyes shining. If they were asked what they lacked most now, the answer was a sense of security. If they were asked what they wanted to do most, they wanted to traverse the starry sky.

For Liu Wen, since he’s here now, wouldn’t it be a wasted trip if he doesn’t go crazy?
The blue fat man and his companions grew up in a pirate atmosphere. They were taught from childhood to start from scratch and to rob others for whatever they needed. Robbing humans was not appropriate, and the boss also liked to target aliens. So what could be more comfortable than building a fleet? There were no rules. They could rob whoever they wanted and whatever they wanted.

”It’s still early, and our personal strength is too weak. To receive the pioneering order, our personal strength must at least reach level four, and we must be able to survive and move in the void. Only then will our life-saving ability be basically up to standard.” Liu Wen looked at the shining eyes of the blue fat man and the others, and immediately spoke to suppress them. It was too early to show up now, and their strength was not enough.

The blue fat man and his companions nodded quickly. It was indeed fun to rob aliens, but life was more important. The boss was the most experienced. He should improve his strength first. With strength, he could have everything.

Now they are not worried about the fleet problem. It has only been a short time since the boss led them to earn hundreds of millions of contribution points. By the time their strength reaches level four, they don’t know how big the fleet will expand to. The psychic teams under their command may be much higher in level than them.

”Okay, take a good rest today, and then go to the job fair tomorrow to see if there are any talents that will catch your eye.” Liu Wen smiled and told them to go back and rest.

”By the way, Captain Bai, would you like to move to Dream Planet and train with the fleet members?”

Bai Haitang was silent for a few seconds before nodding: ”Sure, Boss. I’ll buy a ticket to Dream Star tomorrow. Can you please ask someone to pick me up?”

”No problem, the company will arrange accommodation and other things.” Liu Wen was very happy that Bai Haitang chose to come, which showed that the trust between the two sides could be further enhanced.

Liu Wen was just about to go to the training room to continue practicing his psychic powers, and let the fleet jump to City 314 according to the waterway. However, before he even walked out of the entertainment room, the battleship alarm sounded throughout the battleship, shocking the few people who had just walked out of the entertainment room.

”What happened? We just experienced a great battle among psychics. What bad thing has happened again?” The blue face of the fat blue man has now turned a little green, and his mood is extremely bad.

”Hurry up and go to the cab to check out the situation first.” After Liu Wen came out, he asked everyone to get on the mobility scooter and quickly sent them to the door of the cab.

As soon as everyone was in position, the battleship’s intelligent center autonomously activated all defense equipment, and even the artillery at all levels began to charge. The fleet contracted to form a defensive formation, and two large transport ships moved around the battleship, ready to use themselves as shields to block firepower for the Xinghai.

Twenty alien escort-class warships were patrolling the periphery, with their guns pointed outwards. They were divided into three formations and moved crosswise to share as much firepower as possible.

The destroyers and cruisers were deployed in the center, serving as the second layer of fire output and defense barrier, covering the Xinghai battleship to output fire power to the fullest extent.

”To all fleets, this is the garrison fleet of the 315th channel node in the 109th star field. I am Lv Huaqing, the commander of the garrison fleet. According to the wartime regulations of the Blue River Empire, I formally call on all passing ships in the name of the Blue River Empire military. Please reorganize the fleet immediately according to the coordinate code sent to you.”

”Let me repeat, this is the garrison fleet of the 315th channel node of the 109th star field. I am Lv Huaqing, the commander of the garrison fleet. According to the wartime regulations of the Blue River Empire, I formally call on all passing ships in the name of the Blue River Empire military. Please reorganize the fleet immediately according to the coordinate code sent to you.”

”All ships that do not accept the call will be wanted by the Blue River Empire for treason. All ships are requested to cooperate with the call.”

”What the hell is being drafted?” Fatty Blue was completely mad. If he had known earlier, he would have waited outside 315 City for the city to be rebuilt. Now he has just escaped from the wolf’s den and entered the tiger’s den. ”Boss, look, it’s the Void Zerg!” Frog looked at the information feedback on the detection radar and cried anxiously.

”Don’t panic yet.” Liu Wen forced himself to suppress his panic. He knew that he couldn’t panic at a time like this. If he panicked, Fatty Blue and the others would become even more panicked.

”Hold on, don’t worry, we are just spiritual clones here, it won’t be a big deal if we die.”

Sure enough, after Liu Wen’s words, Fatty Blue and his companions felt much more at ease. They thought that they were just a clone whose spirit was integrated into the clone body. As long as they committed suicide before being bitten by the insect, everything would be fine. Coming back would just be a matter of spending money to buy another body.

”First, reorganize the team according to the military’s conscription code. Bai Haitang, you go and operate the fire control system. Fatty Blue, you and Jack will pay attention to battlefield communications and fleet maintenance. Frog, you guard the radar and provide immediate feedback if there is any situation.”

Liu Wen arranged everyone one by one, and only then did he have time to check what was going on with the Void Zerg.

Calling up the radar projection, I saw that in the void outside the jump point, dense biological reaction light spots were directly connected into a scarlet color, and high-energy psychic reactions with an intensity of more than level four appeared in teams.

Pulling out the optical projection and space detection radar, it was discovered that outside the jump point, near a star system, the void had been torn open with a large hole tens of kilometers long and thousands of meters wide, and gray-white space-time energy gushed out. The Void Zerg appeared along with this space-time energy.

”Hunting mantises, self-destructing moths, acid birds, and this is a flying sickle. Fortunately, there is no Void Mother Nest, so we can fight this battle.” After Liu Wen distinguished them one by one, he suddenly breathed a sigh of relief. It was not the army of Void Zerg, but only some Zerg that were swept out because of the opening of the space connection portal. Everything would be easy without the mother nest.

The jump point garrison fleet is just a squadron consisting of thirty conventional level five battleships, and the highest is only a battleship-class battleship. The only good thing is that several space stations at the jump point have certain defensive firepower, and there is even an unmanned fighter production line in the military dock, which has begun to produce unmanned fighters at full capacity.

The defensive turrets at the jump point opened fire at full power, blasting away at the incoming insects. The particles fired by the particle rapid-fire cannon formed streaks of orange-yellow light, and the red beams of laser weapons cut through the void like sharp blades, killing the densely packed void Zerg on the spot.

The garrison fleet met the attack head-on, with dozens of warships spewing out scorching energy beams, keeping the Zerg outside the jump point defense circle.

As time went by, the conscription order was issued and warships joined the battlefield one after another, forming an iron line of defense with the garrison fleet.

The increasingly intensive firepower output successfully curbed the Zerg’s attack and pushed it back towards the space gate.

The Star Fleet also joined the battle and was located on the left wing of the garrison fleet. The firepower output of the level VI battleships instantly overwhelmed the firepower of the garrison fleet. The hundreds of medium and long-range energy cannons on the battleship-class battleships cleared a section of the starry sky in an instant.

”Attention, all fleets. Attention, all fleets. The main force of the Zerg has arrived at the battlefield. All warships follow the instructions to carry out a covering strike on the coordinate points.”

As one of the natural disasters of the Second World, the destructive power of the Void Zerg should not be underestimated, even if it is just a Zerg army sent over by a space rift.

Countless suicide moths shuttled through the void, wandered under the firepower network, avoided layers of firepower blockades, and rushed towards the fleet under the spontaneous cover of many Zergs. Accompanied by the hunting mantises that forced leaps from time to time, attracting a large number of close-defense firepower, they finally approached some small warships.

One after another, the self-destructing moths crashed into the warship head-on. There was no blinding fire, nor violent energy tide. Under the surge of invisible void energy, the energy shield of the small warship was annihilated in an instant. The battleship’s armor seemed to be neutralized by antimatter, and huge holes were dissolved, revealing the battleship’s fragile internal structure.

The hunting mantis rushed in in a flash. After more than ten seconds, the battleship’s firepower stopped, and then an explosion occurred from the inside. The entire battleship disintegrated in an instant, triggering a violent energy tide.

”Damn it, be careful on the right side, there are more suicide bugs coming.” The blue fat man was quick-eyed and quick-handed, using the radar to lock onto several suicide moths that quietly broke through the defensive firepower and approached the fleet formation.

”Below, there are hunting mantises approaching below the fleet, psychic reaction level four!” Sweat continued to break out on Frog’s forehead, and his hands that were operating the detection radar could not react.

Bai Haitang also looked nervous. Having fought insects for so many years, she had a deep understanding of these creatures which were more tenacious than cockroaches and more cunning than foxes.

He divided his attention into several parts, controlling the close-defense firepower to lock onto the approaching insects. He did not care whether firepower was wasted or not, and launched a covering attack to cut off all their evasive routes. After a few seconds, he stopped when he found no radar response, and instead controlled the long-range firepower to increase the output.

”The right wing of the fleet was breached, a loophole appeared in the defensive firepower, and a large number of insects entered the fleet.”

”All fleets retreat according to the instructions and maintain fire suppression. Reinforcements will arrive in thirty minutes. Hold on!”

”Who let all those acid birds in here? Damn it, kill them now!”

”Boss, another alien warship has been destroyed.” Jack suddenly shouted.

Liu Wen didn’t have time to respond to him now. He was constantly adjusting the positions of the fleet’s warships. He had to quickly increase firepower in areas where there were more bugs.

Less than fifteen minutes after the battle started, three alien warships had been damaged. Reinforcements did not arrive until half an hour later, and by that time, all the frigate-class warships would have been destroyed.

”Hurry, a psychic team of insects is rushing in, kill them quickly.” Frog shouted anxiously.

”Why are you rushing us!” Bai Haitang roared in anger and turned around a dozen medium-range energy cannons to continuously output damage, but these psychic insects easily jumped and dodged them.

Liu Wen quickly mobilized the surrounding destroyers and warships to concentrate firepower, and only at the cost of eleven alien warships being blown up did he kill this Zerg psychic team.
