The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2251: Zero-State

A small, faint smile appeared at the corner of the Red King’s mouth as he steadied the sphere in his hand, an orb forged from forces that existed beyond destruction itself. Dark starlight and pale flame folded into one another, held together by the delicate equilibrium of a single red point at its center. This was no longer the crude EndSphere he had formed moments earlier. This was something refined—something final.

”Zero-State Spear.” He uttered the name as if announcing a force of nature rather than a technique. In the same instant, he lunged forward.

Resurrección’s Innate Ability shattered space around him, not as an attack, but as a medium of movement, propelling him with such overwhelming speed that even the High Lords of the Root failed to track him. One blink, one distortion of reality, and the Red King was already before Godfrey.

Godfrey’s eyes widened. He barely had time to lift an arm to shield his head as the spear swept toward him. Those arms—constructed of eternal muscle, hardened by the cosmic force of The Root—should be able to endure blows of Alpha-Omega Overgods.

Yet the moment the Zero-State Spear touched them, the flesh and bone began to unravel. Not burn, not shatter—erase. The material dissolved into nothingness, as if reality had forgotten it ever existed.

Shock overtook the High Lord’s face. Even worse than the agony of erasure was the sudden stillness of his power. The Gift of the Root, which reacted to injury by multiplying his strength, did not activate. The spear inflicted no wounds. It granted no damage for the Root to convert into growth. It simply removed what it touched from the ledger of existence.

The only mercy was that his resilience slowed the erasure. The denser and more powerful the matter, the harder the spear had to work to erase it. That delay, agonizing and brief, was all the High Lord counted on. Moments were enough for the other defenders of the Root to strike together, overwhelming the Red King long enough to force him back.

Or so they planned.

The Red King’s eyes glowed as the sundering force coursed through the spear. The Zero-State Force compressed into a single killing vector—a needle of intent so sharp that it shrank the radius of destruction while vastly amplifying penetration.

Reality shrieked.

”ZNNNNN!” The spear passed through Godfrey’s arms, then through his chest, tearing through the High Lord’s form as if the cosmos itself authorized the blow.

Godfrey was blasted downward, crashing into the living ground with a cataclysmic tremor.

Horror rippled across the Heart of the Root as they saw that power. But hesitation did not take control over them.

The eight Champions of the Root lunged at once, striking from every angle in a barrage of divine fury. Whatever dread they felt had already been drowned beneath Radagon’s command and the relentless will of the Root itself.

Attack. Attack without pause. Attack without thought. Only an overwhelming force could smother the abominable king who had pierced the heart of their world.

Golden light filled the Red King’s eyes. He drew the Flow of the universe into his mind, and possibilities expanded before him—countless futures unfurling and collapsing in the space of a heartbeat. He sifted through them with the natural ease of instinct until he found the optimal thread.

The Zero-State Spear grew denser, longer, and heavier. The Red King twisted his body, and a sweeping semicircle of annihilation followed the motion.

Four Champions were struck simultaneously.

Their bodies do not merely break, they dissolve, bones and muscles eroded under the spear’s erasing force. When they crashed in the distance, Zero-State energy bloomed inside them. It gathered, condensed, then detonated, erasing vast swaths of their forms before the Root could intervene.

The Heart of the Root reacted immediately. Life force surged through the realm, pouring into the dissolving Champions to rebuild them strand by strand. It was not rejuvenation—it was a desperate contest against erasure itself. Every instant cost power. Every moment was a struggle to preserve their existence.

The remaining four Champions reached the Red King. Their combined assault blasted him upward into the vaulted ceiling. But as he rose, the Red King twisted. The force of their blows unraveled around him, and by the time his body touched the ceiling, he had already turned his momentum into a downward dive.

He appeared again in front of one Champion.

One stroke—clean, absolute—and the Zero-State Spear bisected the abomination. He twisted again, carving through the Champion on his left. A third fell within an instant, nearly severed in the same manner before a streak of claws forced him back.

High Lord Morgott entered the fray, claws gleaming with a power capable of rending divine flesh. An ocean of dark-orange flame followed, surging toward the Red King with annihilating force.

The Red King’s arm bulged as he channeled explosive energy into the spear. One swing cleaved the tidal wave of flame, splitting it as easily as a falling blade parts mist. But Godfrey, already regenerated by the Root, materialized behind him and delivered a devastating punch.

The Red King pivoted. He caught the punch with the body of the spear, channeling Zero-State power and the explosive motion of his Innate Ability.

Flesh met spear, and a shockwave erupted.

Godfrey’s arm vanished, erased at the point of impact. A massive blast tore through the air, hurling the High Lord across the battlefield. Yet the strength behind his punch remained monstrous, enough to stagger the Red King, freezing his movement for a single vulnerable moment.

Morgott seized it.

Claws tore into the Red King’s back, sundering divine flesh and sending him tumbling across the living expanse of the Heart of the Root.

He regained control instantly. But before he could strike back, the eight Champions of the Root surged toward him once more—fully regenerated. Limbs restored, essence reconstructed, bodies reforged by the immeasurable vitality of the Root.

The Red King had shattered the bodies of seven of them a moment ago. Yet here they stood again, unbroken and at full strength. The cost to the Heart of the Root must have been monumental, draining reserves of vitality that few realms could even imagine. But such expenditure did not matter. The Root cared only for one outcome:

Contain the intruder.

Confront the Red King.

Force him down—even if it required eternity itself.
