The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2275: An Alpha-Omega Overgod of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe!

Cain was not the only one who sensed the sudden fluctuation in space-time. A moment later, every powerhouse of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe felt it ripple through the void—an unsettling twist in the fabric of reality that made their instincts sharpen. For a heartbeat, dread threatened to creep into their souls as the notion that a new portal into the Emptiness was manifesting.

Luckily for them, Cain’s voice cut through that rising fear like a steadying blade.

”It isn’t a portal to the Emptiness,” he said, his tone calm yet unwavering. ”The fluctuations aren’t nearly strong enough. It’s only channeling the remnants of energy from the broken pieces of the decapitated head.”

His words washed over the gathered warriors, easing the tension clenching their hearts. If Cain was right—and they trusted him since his mastery of space-time was the greatest—their mission had indeed been a success. The head was destroyed, the gateway to the Emptiness shattered before it could fully form. Still, a question lingered.

If the Heart of the Root wasn’t opening a portal to the Emptiness and the hordes that lay in there, then what was it doing?

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he focused on the massive, world-sized tumor floating in the void like a malignant star, as the same question arose in his mind. Even as its energies churned and twisted, he examined every movement with razor precision.

”Even if it gathered all the leftover power,” he murmured to himself, ”it still couldn’t push a portal beyond the universe’s limits. So where is it trying to connect?”

His expression shifted into one of deep concentration. Cain’s mind always raced toward the worst possibility first—it was how he prepared for catastrophe. And so the next thought that surfaced was grim.

”Could it be trying to open a path into the Tenth Empyrean World?”

It would be a nightmare beyond imagination if the Root and his ancient enemies ever combined their power. But after a moment, he dismissed the idea. The Root’s nature made alliances impossible. Undirected hunger did not negotiate.

”If it isn’t forming a portal...” Cain’s eyes widened suddenly. A realization flashed through his mind—

But he never finished the thought.

The space-time force around the Heart of the Root peaked—and under the gaze of every warrior present, the massive entity simply vanished.

Shock rippled across the assembled powerhouses. Not a single one of them believed the tumor had truly disappeared; the Heart of the Root was too massive, too powerful, too deeply anchored into reality for that. They had all longed to destroy it, yet no one expected it to fade as though it had never existed.

They didn’t have to wonder long.

A scream—ancient, furious, and piercing—echoed from the Universe Will itself. Immediately afterward, a projection manifested in every powerhouse’s mind: the entire universe laid bare, a perfect representation created by the Will so they could understand what was happening.

The Heart of the Root had not vanished. It had reappeared at the very center of the universe—and it was moving.

Not drifting. Not descending.

Charging.

It shot through the cosmic expanse at a terrifying speed, heading straight toward the Empyrean Worlds.

”Damn it!” Cain roared as he flashed toward the Golden Hall with every shred of remaining strength. He wasn’t alone; every ArchDeity hurled themselves after him, pushing their bodies to the absolute limit. They didn’t need Cain to explain what the Heart of the Root intended.

It had failed to connect with the hordes waiting in the Emptiness.

So it had chosen another path—Plan B.

If it could not bring the outside forces inside, it would claim an Empyrean World from within.

Thanks to the golden portals in the hall, the powerhouses burst into the void before their worlds, forming a barrier of blazing energy. The Empyrean Worlds reacted as well, their cores awakening with instinctive fury. Each world’s source power erupted outward and connected with its warriors, flooding them with strength.

Cain, Anark, Leonidas, and the elites of the Everstrife Empyrean World ignited with new might as their world’s strength poured into them. Aioro—the will of the world—channeled the power of its core essence, nurturing its champions to a degree that surpassed even its usual blessings.

And yet, despite their gathered strength, tension coiled in every heart.

The Heart of the Root, drifting like a star of writhing flesh and countless eyes, focused its hatred on the Everstrife Empyrean World with overwhelming intensity. It wasn’t hard to understand why. Cain—its greatest obstacle—stood there. He had shattered its portal, ruined its purpose, and humiliated it.

But even driven by fury, the Heart of the Root seemed to recognize its limitations. With the damage it had sustained, assaulting the strongest world among the alliance would be risky.

Its countless eyes shifted.

Its attention drifted toward the three Empyrean Worlds that had not participated in the battle.

They hadn’t harmed the Heart of the Root, but they were vulnerable. They were weaker. And for a wounded monster, a weakened prey was the simplest path to survival.

But just as the abomination made its move, beams of light erupted from two of the three worlds.

The first beam carried a battalion of warriors of the Dark Races. At their head strode a titan of a man—an Atrox Immortus warrior, enormous and muscular, a bastard sword strapped to his back. Black armor clung to him like a shadow, and a bandage wrapped over his eyes as if he were blind. Yet the power radiating from him was unmistakable—equal to Cipher, Arkam, and the other super powerhouses.

The second beam carried only a single figure.

A man from the Godlayer Humankind—calm, composed, yet emanating an aura so overwhelming that space itself tightened around him. He had dark purple hair, a handsome face, and a third eye on his forehead.

Gasps rippled through the allied powerhouses as they perceived the strength of the man through the image projected by the Universe Will.

The energy flowing from this lone man rose above the ArchDeity Rank.
