The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2289: Specifically enhanced to face me

Cain showed a wide, cold smile as he stared directly into the eyes of the Neo-Angel.

The first—and only—time they had clashed in the past was when the Alpha-Omega Overgod Natural Inheritance had come to life. Back then, she had needed only a single strike to nearly destroy his body. The difference between them had been abyssal, so vast that resistance had been meaningless.

Yet less than half a century later, they stood face to face once more.

This time, as sword and dagger collided, it was the Neo-Angel who was forced back.

Urin was powerful—there was no denying that—but when it came to raw physical strength, she could not match Cain. The muscles of the Neo-Demon bulged and coiled with monstrous force as he pushed forward, diving his sword down, pushing the dagger away, and sending Urin flying backward through the sky.

Not even a second later, the Crimson Wings flared, and with a single beat, Cain vanished in a scarlet flash, pursuing the Neo-Angel at shocking speed.

However, before Urin could even fully regain control of her body, she made her move.

Her dagger carved a wound across the sky itself. The gash glowed for a heartbeat before detonating, releasing a massive firestorm that swallowed Cain’s advance in an instant.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he faced the sea of destruction.

Urin’s ability, even in its initial state, allowed her to trigger explosions through her fists and legs, unleashing massive waves of destruction with every attack. Now, empowered by her Alpha-Omega Overgod Natural Inheritance, those explosions had grown stronger, wider, and far more precise.

That analysis crossed Cain’s mind in less than a second, and did not slow his response.

He swung Sky Devourer, releasing a crescent arc of crimson light that split the destructive wave apart. Yet even as the wall dispersed, a second attack followed—a massive arc of blazing energy rushing straight toward him.

Cain’s eyes flared with the power of The Flow.

His left hand moved, index and middle fingers extending as he prepared to swallow the energy. Yet at the final instant, a sharp warning surged through his perception. His eyes flashed, and instead of Redirection, he activated Diverge, pushing the energy violently aside.

Not even a heartbeat later—before the redirected force had traveled a hundred meters—it detonated.

The explosion engulfed Cain completely.

Flames roared across the sky, and the shockwave rippled outward like a collapsing star. A moment later, Cain emerged from the inferno, his Crimson Wings crossed protectively before him. They had absorbed most of the damage, but his left arm was still charred, flesh blackened and cracking.

Urin allowed herself a faint smile at the sight, but it vanished instantly.

Waves of Depravita Aura surged through Cain’s body, flooding the damaged limb. Flesh regenerated in a heartbeat, bone reforging itself with unnatural speed.

Cain lowered his arm, fully restored, showing the might of his immortal body thanks to the Depravita Aura. Yet his expression had grown solemn.

”She’s stronger than before,” he realized. ”And not just because of the dagger.”

Her explosions carried refined intent. Their timing disrupted The Flow itself.

”She’s been taught how to fight against it,” Cain concluded. ”And the destructive output of her ability has increased drastically.”

This battle would not be easy.

There was no time for doubt.

”Eleventh Gear!”

Cain roared as his heart detonated like a miniature sun. Scarlet light erupted from his body, and he shot forward like a comet, tearing through the sky toward Urin.

The Neo-Angel expression hardened as she felt the Neo-Demon’s power and speed increase drastically.

In response, her own heart thundered violently—each beat detonating with explosive force. Unlike Cain’s steady amplification, Urin’s power surged through controlled detonations, each one accelerating her body beyond its limits. The effect was similar: her speed, reactions, and destructive output skyrocketed.

Suspicion sharpened in Cain’s eyes.

”It’s as if she were specifically enhanced to face me.”

But there was no time to dwell on it.

They collided again.

”BOOOOOOOOOOM!”

The explosion shook the highest sky.

This time, it was not alone.

Below them, the forces of the Life Path and the Freedom Path finally clashed.

The ArchDeities of the Freedom Path fought with manic determination, unleashing every ounce of power in their bodies and souls as they surged upward, attempting to reach Cain. In contrast, the warriors of the Life Path formed an impregnable defensive formation, forging a living barrier to prevent any interference in the duel between the Neo-Demon and the Neo-Angel.

In terms of individual strength, the Life Path displayed terrifying dominance.

Meylin and the Enlightened One each held back three Late ArchDeities alone, their power overwhelming their opponents. Zarazel was even more terrifying, facing nine ArchDeities simultaneously, his presence radiating absolute fear and authority.

Unfortunately, the Freedom Path possessed overwhelming numbers.

Years of conquest had filled their ranks, and it took every ounce of strength from the Life Path’s warriors to keep them at bay.

Above it all, Cain and Urin continued to clash.

Sword and dagger collided again and again, each impact releasing massive explosions as Urin compensated for the gap in physical strength through raw destructive force. Their auras rose higher and higher, distorting space, bending laws, and tearing apart the sky itself.

At last, their eyes locked.

Both understood that the battle had reached its turning point.

”Doomsday Incarnation!”

”Salvation Incarnation!”

Their voices echoed simultaneously as they triggered their transformations.

Cain’s body expanded, muscles swelling with terrifying density. Bone spikes erupted from his elbows and knees, while dark skeletal armor formed over his forearms, legs, and hands. A pitch-black aura, carrying the core essence of the Absolute Destruction True Doomsday Body within his Neo-Demon Core, surged outward, flooding every cell of his being.

He became destruction incarnate.

Urin’s transformation followed a different path.

She tore at the cosmic rules of the universe itself, ripping them free and weaving them into her form. Plasma wings erupted from her back, blazing with radiant intensity. Ancient runes carved themselves across her skin, enhancing her physical form.
