The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2269: Dual Alpha Omega Overgod Tribulation Enhancement!

What appeared before Cain was a being woven from ancient roots—an immense figure of bark-flesh and sprawling wings, its entire body carved from primordial wood and overflowing with brutal, overwhelming strength. Each movement radiated a physical might that could rival, perhaps even surpass, that of Radagon, who now fought above.

”The Ancestor of the Root...?” Cain narrowed his golden eyes. The creature standing between him and the cocoon that held the decapitated head resembled the ancient entity he had glimpsed in Emprik’s memories, but something was wrong.

First of all, if it was really the entity he saw in the memories, that punch would have destroyed his body and erased his soul instantly, and not just cracked his skull.

As the Scarlet King peered into its eyes, he found no spark of self, no soul, no ego. Instead, he sensed a collective presence, like a hive-mind, the same oppressive consciousness he had felt from the countless eyes covering the surface of the Heart of the Root.

”A puppet.” That was the only explanation that made sense.

Sensing danger, the Heart of the Root must have forged this monstrosity—whether by sacrificing an unimaginable amount of life force, cosmic essence, or both—to guard the decapitated head until the portal was completed. It was a desperate creation, but an effective one, for the being before him radiated an authority capable of halting even his advance.

The Guardian of the Root stood motionless before the cocoon. It did not attack immediately; instead, it observed him with a silent, absolute confidence—as if the idea of losing to a life form like Cain did not even exist within its constructed mind.

Cain stared back, his aura simmering. He could feel the Guardian’s power. But he could also feel something else—every battle taking place throughout the layers of the Root.

His golden eyes shone like suns as visions flooded him: warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe clashing, bleeding, burning their lives to buy him time. He felt their pain, their hope, and their belief. Every single fighter was counting on him—on his success, on his ability to break the cocoon, shatter the head, defeat the undefeatable, and save the universe itself.

”I planned to save these to escape this place,” Cain muttered, a fierce smile forming on his blood-stained lips as he stared down the puppet of the Heart of the Root. ”But... fuck it.”

Two spheres of forty-three colors manifested in his hands—one nestled against his chest, the other pressed against his forehead. Without hesitation, he triggered both simultaneously.

A dual Alpha Omega Overgod Tribulation Enhancement!

The Heart of the Root shuddered as the void around it trembled with increasing power, as overwhelming amounts of energy flowed through it.

An ocean of world energy erupted from the cosmic depths of the universe, blasting through every corner of existence. The Heart of the Universe could do nothing to stop the towering golden pillar of divine power that descended directly into Cain’s body and his Alter-Ego.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”

Power roared through him, so overwhelming that it threatened to tear his body apart. His skin cracked, his muscles bulged, and waves of golden energy surged outward like a star going supernova. Anyone else, even an Alpha-Omega Overgod, would have exploded in a matter of seconds due to the chaotic, immense amount of world energy flowing into their existence.

But against all logic, the endless flood of world energy fused seamlessly into his flesh, blood, will, and soul, as though guided by a force capable of bending reality itself.

For the first time, confusion flashed in the Guardian of the Root’s eyes. The hive-mind vessel was shocked, something that it believed only the man with red eyes could provoke. Yet, that was clearly not the case.

And still, Cain was not done.

The Alpha-Omega Overgod Tribulation pushed his strength into the transcendent realm, yet the Scarlet King demanded more. He roared, burning his life force, soul, and ego with reckless abandon—burning them at a rate that should have killed any other ArchDeity in seconds. His aura surged higher, brighter, more violently, blood spilling from every orifice on his face.

Yet even this was not enough.

He glared at the Guardian with pure, undiluted killing intent and roared with all the fury in his being. ”Thirteenth Gear!”

The Guardian of the Root had no time to react. In the span of a heartbeat—a heartbeat stronger than a supernova—Cain vanished, appearing directly before the monstrous being.

His fist rose, glowing with more power and energy than a High World could contain.

And then—

”BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”

The uppercut struck the Guardian of the Root beneath the jaw. The impact launched the colossal creature skyward with such catastrophic force that its body tore through the roof of the Ninth Layer and smashed into the sky of the Eighth, shattering it like fragile glass.

High above, Anark and Radagon—locked in their own brutal death-match—paused for a fraction of a second, unable to hide their shock as the Guardian of the Root’s figure hurtled past them.

Radagon’s eyes widened with disbelief, while Anark, the True Primordial of the Void, broke into a radiant grin. Cain’s power had become cataclysmic.

Cain did not waste a breath. As the Guardian was blasted away, he lifted his palm and summoned an Endsphere—one that expanded in the blink of an eye until it rivaled a mountain. He hurled it at the gargantuan cocoon.

The force of Entropy and Nihility surged through the fleshy shell, vaporizing it faster than it could regenerate. In mere seconds, a window to the decapitated head appeared. Cain waved his left hand, unleashing a web of invisible blades capable of slicing an ArchDeity into atomic fragments as if they were paper.

The blades reached the head—

And stopped.

They carved flesh but could not penetrate the skull.

”Dammit!” Cain roared as he understood it would require much more power to harm the head.

Before he could attack again, a massive shadow fell over him.

The Guardian of the Root crashed down from above like a meteor, slamming into him with earth-shattering force.
