The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2284: Adam’s resolve

For two weeks, Cain allowed himself something he had not tasted since the universe first screamed beneath the awakening of the Heart of the Root—rest. In the quiet sky of the Everstrife Empyrean World, he spent each day with Shura and Astrid, letting the pressure that clung to his mind finally loosen. With them, he could forget the looming threat of the Root, the countless responsibilities weighing upon his shoulders, and the endless calculations that governed every step he took. Even the Scarlet King required reprieves, and this one had been desperately needed.

Yet no reprieve could last forever.

When the final morning arrived, the calm settled over him like the lingering warmth of a fading flame. He embraced his wives, whispered his farewells, and then walked alone toward the throne chamber. The moment he sat upon the massive seat of power, the world seemed to shift back into its rightful place, heavy and vast.

”System, scan me.”

His voice echoed through the chamber. The command was simple, but the response was anything but. The System power flooded every part of his existence.

A moment later, the analysis unfolded before him.

A faint smile touched Cain’s lips. By any standard, his stats were astonishing—more than enough to shake worlds. Yet he could barely wield a fraction of that might. His body, soul, and energy remained ravaged from the clash within the Heart of the Root.

Still, numbers did not lie.

The foundations were solid. The wounds would heal.

And when they did, he would rise far beyond this point.

”And after I heal,” he murmured, ”I will only grow stronger.”

His gaze drifted to the two Paths of Power that had yet to complete their next great transformation. A meaningful gleam appeared in his eyes.

”My connection to the universe is far deeper now. The awakening of the Fourth Star of Origin is just a matter of time.”

But what excited him most was the Path of Ego Eternal.

The Power of Chaos had not simply strengthened him—it had seeped into every aspect of his being. Nowhere had its influence run more profoundly than through Leviathan, his Alter-Ego. Deep within the vast ocean of his psyche, something stirred. A transcendental evolution was brewing, pressing against its shell, ready to become something magnificent and terrifying.

By connecting through the Power of Chaos to billions across the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, Leviathan had absorbed a tide of forces beyond comprehension. The only reason this metamorphosis had not yet taken form was the simple fact that Cain’s vessel was too wounded to support it.

But once he recovered...

”It will manifest,” Cain whispered. ”And I only hope it is enough to face whatever horrors await.”

He allowed himself a quiet breath. Then, with practiced calm, he issued a series of mental commands to the [A.I. Chip Module], instructing it not only to accelerate his healing but also to optimize his strengthening during his absence. Satisfied, he closed his eyes, allowing his consciousness to loosen.

A faint tremor rippled through Primarch of Conquest Leviathan as Cain’s True Name detached from the fabric of reality. In the next heartbeat, his presence faded from the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

Beyond the walls of fire and rot that now encased what had once been the Abyssalcrown Empyrean World, the landscape twisted into something unspeakable. Trees, beasts, and every unfortunate soul who had failed to escape were fused into a vast, pulsing mass of eyes and flesh. The ocean had become a viscous mire; the air itself was thick with corruption. Even the word ”hell” felt insufficient.

At the ruined heart of the former Empyrean World, three colossal cocoons pulsed with sickly luminescence. Above each floated a spiritual projection—one belonging to Radagon, another bearing a bone mask, and the last carrying a three-eyed visage. Cold disdain rippled from the latter two as they glared upon the King of the Root.

”You have failed the Root.”

”Your sacred purpose—your very reason for existing—has ended in disgrace.”

Their voices vibrated with barely restrained fury. Radagon bowed his head in silence.

”If we could afford even a moment’s interruption, we would erase your mind where you stand.”

”When this is finished, your weakness will be repaid in full.”

Their spectral forms dissolved, returning to the cocoons where their new bodies were being forged. Radagon said nothing as he retreated into his own cocoon, the weight of their condemnation pressing upon him.

---

Far from the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, in a distant dominion swallowed by darkness, a lone figure stood unmoving. Shadows curled around him, and his eyes glowed a baleful red as visions of the battle within the Heart of the Root flickered before him.

”He awakened the Power of Chaos.”

Adam’s expression twisted with a mixture of shock, bitterness, and cold resolve.

”I made a mistake leaving your death in the hands of others... but no more.”

With brutal decisiveness, he stepped forward. The void trembled under his will. A heartbeat later, he vanished, streaking toward the Tenth Empyrean World as its full power stirred awake beneath his approach.
