The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2255: Radagon’s dead

The ultimate shield of The Flow shattered the next second. Even the Red King knew he would not be able to summon such power again due to the limitations of his cultivation base, but that no longer mattered. The time for defenses had passed. Now was the time for the final strike.

Red plasma wings burst from his back—vast, radiant structures folding into the very fabric of reality, seizing its currents and elevating his strength to a level even the High Lords had never witnessed.

Immediately afterward, his grip tightened around the Zero-End Spear as the nine remaining petals of the Rose of Endless Rebirth detonated, each turning into a coil of pure Death Energy that flooded the weapon to its absolute limit.

The eyes of the King of the Root widened. A feeling of total doom pierced his soul, something he had never known. He was the favored child of the Heart of the Root—an entity at the very peak of the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank, capable of regenerating from a single drop of blood as long as the Heart endured.

Yet now, Radagon felt the scythe of death against his throat, cold and merciless, not stopping, not hesitating, ready to reap his existence completely. His mind grasped desperately for any path of survival.

But the Red King was not one who granted time.

The plasma wings tensed, drawing in a colossal well of power. The Red King channeled everything he had into the Zero-State Spear. Then he hurled it forward with absolute focus, driving it point-blank into Radagon’s chest.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!”

A new explosion roared across the sixth layer of the Heart of the Root. Its thunderous might rivaled the full-force strike Radagon had unleashed earlier—but this was only the beginning.

The spear transformed mid-impact into a colossal energy cannon, a pillar of annihilating power that burned through the King of the Root’s body and soul alike, erasing more and more of his existence with each passing heartbeat, as it pushed forward faster than the speed of light.

And that still was not the end.

The sky and earth of the sixth layer began to tear apart, riven as though infernal claws were raking through their foundations. The layer had already suffered catastrophic damage from Radagon’s earlier attack, and before it could recover, it now faced the Red King’s ultimate spear—an attack powerful enough to obliterate a significant portion of an Empyrean World.

No matter how mighty the Heart of the Root was, it was far more destruction than a single layer could possibly endure.

By the time the last echo of power faded, the sixth layer of the Heart of the Root had been reduced to complete and utter cataclysm.

The sky was unraveling into threads of collapsing cosmic fabric. The ground had fractured beyond recognition, falling into chasms of raw, devouring void. Firestorms of primordial energy surged in all directions. Even the rules that permitted this place to exist were coming undone.

As for Radagon, there was not a single atom or spirit particle left. Nothing remained from the King of the Root.

Other than the constant lightning and thunder racing across the dying landscape, the realm fell into a profound silence.

The surviving High Lords and Champions of the Root could only gaze upward at the figure floating in the collapsing sky, staring with a mixture of awe, dread, and despair.

They were representatives of a multiversal force renowned for consuming and assimilating entire civilizations. Yet the man before them existed on a fundamentally different scale. It was like a pack of hyenas gazing upon a solitary, radiant, unstoppable lion. They were simply not in the same league.

The Red King looked upon the destruction with a faint, satisfied smile. He did not care for the Root as an entity, nor for its grand design—but there was unmistakable excitement in his gaze.

Thrill filled the Red King’s heart. A sense of wonder at the power he had unleashed, and the ever-widening path that Chaos was opening for him.

”If completed, my dream could become real.” He spoke aloud, unconcerned with who might hear, then slowly shifted his attention to the remaining High Lords, focusing his gaze on Morgott. ”The ability to transfer your Primordial Essence and consciousness into another vessel a moment before death. Not a bad trick at all.”

Godfrey and Rykard exchanged a confused glance—but when they turned toward Morgott, something in his aura felt... wrong.

Morgott remained silent for a long moment.

Then his jaws began to split apart. Hands emerged from within, tearing the mouth wide open from the inside. A figure pulled itself free, leaving the former vessel behind like a discarded skin.

Of course, it was Radagon.

Yet the King of the Root’s resurrection was far from clean. His aura flickered violently, unstable to the point of collapse. It was evident that restoring himself had inflicted monstrous damage upon both his life force and his soul, and whether he could do it again was hard to tell.

Radagon clenched his fists, trembling slightly—not from rage, but from something far more unfamiliar.

Impotence.

The realization that he was facing something that could not be defeated. A force that defied the universe’s logic. A being who had glimpsed the true peak of existence—and intended to rise higher still. A monster, a king, and something far beyond both.

The Red King studied the resurrected Radagon calmly. After a moment, he extended his hand, summoning the essence of Zero-State into his palm to forge a new spear... only for his hand to begin trembling slightly. He exhaled, soft but audible, then looked not only at Radagon, but at the entire Heart of the Root.

He nodded to himself. ”This should be enough gratitude for the growth and experiences that his Chaos has granted me.”

With those words—showing no interest whatsoever in the reactions of Radagon, the High Lords, or the Champions—the Red King ascended sharply, tearing through the collapsing sky and carving open a path out of the Heart of the Root.
