The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2254: The true power of Radagon

As soon as the tenth petal of the Rose of Endless Rebirth unfurled, all the accumulated energy within it surged into the Zero-State Spear. The Death Energy inside the weapon erupted, shining like a dark supernova.

The sudden rise in power caught the High Lord and the Champions of the Root by surprise; even beings who had fought through the void felt their instincts scream in terror. Every fiber of their existence demanded they flee, but they were far too slow. The Red King had already moved.

The spear carved a semicircle through the air, striking the warriors gathered before him. The impact triggered an explosion so immense that the entire sixth layer of the Heart of the Root trembled as if on the brink of collapse.

Waves of destruction radiated outward, consuming sky and earth alike, dissolving countless mountains of corpses, and severely weakening the psychic energies that saturated this layer of the living tumor.

But the true horror for the Heart of the Root was far more personal: two of the Champions, the first to be touched by the Zero-State Spear, were erased absolutely. Every atom of their bodies vanished, leaving not even dust behind—nothing to heal, nothing to rebuild. Once more, regeneration was not merely difficult; it was impossible.

The remaining Champions were blasted in different directions, their bodies engulfed by a combination of Nihility, Entropy, and the Death Energy of the Samsara Seal. The flames clung to their flesh and essence like parasites, refusing to fade, continuing to consume their existence even as they attempted to fight it off.

The Red King saw that the Champions of the Root were badly wounded and that he could eliminate another within moments, with no one being able to stop him. But his gaze shifted almost immediately toward the High Lords.

Godfrey, Rykard, and Morgott were far stronger than the Champion, far more vital to the Root’s survival. Killing one of them would deliver a much heavier blow to the Heart of the Root. Without hesitation, the Red King shot toward them like a shooting star, the Zero-State Spear pulsing with frightening power.

Rykard’s eyes trembled with dread as the Red King blurred forward. Summoning every ounce of strength he could muster, he unleashed a massive ocean of dark orange flames—root-flame carrying the essence of their world. He knew he could not stop the Red King.

The High Lord only needed to buy a few precious seconds so the Heart of the Root could finish mending them and the Champions, and that way they could fight back.

As the vast sheet of dark orange flame roared toward him, a meaningful glint appeared in the Red King’s eyes. A strange idea surfaced—one he would never have attempted under normal circumstances. But with the Power of Chaos flowing through him, a thrill ignited in his chest. He smiled, closed his eyes, and let instinct move him.

His left eye opened first.

The golden glow of The Flow, brighter and deeper than any the Scarlet King had ever produced, erupted from it. Then, before the gazes of the entire world-sized tumor, a golden vortex formed within his left eye, swallowing the dark orange flames whole. The vortex snapped shut.

Not even a heartbeat later, the Red King’s right eye opened, fixing directly on Rykard.

The High Lord of the Root watched in disbelief as the space before him twisted like molten glass.

”Impossible...” It was the only word that escaped him before the energy he himself had unleashed detonated point-blank.

A massive sphere of blinding light enveloped his entire figure, tearing through layers of flesh, spirit, and principle.

Godfrey and Morgott froze in stunned disbelief. They knew the power of Cain’s Redirection technique—how he could absorb attacks with his left hand and release them with his right as raw energy. But this was entirely different.

The Red King had absorbed the attack with his left eye, then released it from his right eye, not as a beam but as an explosion that teleported directly onto its target.

It was a feat that even beings who had journeyed through the Emptiness could barely understand.

”Hahahaha!” The Red King burst into laughter, unconcerned with their horror. He had momentarily forgotten about the limitations, tried something reckless, and it had worked. That thrill—something an entity that fell into Order should not experience—filled him with renewed exhilaration.

The Red King’s momentum only grew. Tightening his grip on the Zero-State Spear, he dashed forward once more, ready to end the remaining High Lords while they were still stunned.

But just as he closed in, a figure materialized before him.

Radagon.

The King of the Root emerged with eyes burning in dark determination. His right hand was clenched into a fist, containing a gargantuan amount of energy.

For a brief moment—just long enough to hide the catastrophic backlash that was certain to come—Radagon unleashed the full power of his cultivation. Everything he possessed, every cycle of life and death he had refined, burst outward in a single punch.

It carried more force than the strike that had once carved a hole through the Alpha-Omega Overgod True Primordial of the Void.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!”

The explosion that erupted shook not only the sixth layer but the entire Heart of the Root!

Space-time around the sixth layer began to collapse as the laws holding it together buckled and shattered under the force. Massive chasms of collapsing void opened around the warriors of the Root, devouring pieces of the living world.

The High Lords and Champions did not care about the destruction tearing through their home. All that mattered was eliminating the abomination before them. And smiles arose in their faces as no being could possibly survive such a blow. No existence could withstand it.

Yet their hopes were shattered instantly as the smoke dissipated.

Radagon’s fist had not struck the Red King’s flesh.

It landed instead upon a golden lotus—thirty-three petals strong—that had formed around him like a divine shield.

The Red King stared at Radagon, smiled softly, and nodded. ”My turn.”
