The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2285: The Power of Chaos in the Crimson World

Book 23 - The Path to the Red Sun

Cain’s eyes twitched for a few seconds before they finally opened inside his Divine Kingdom at the Void Beyond the Second Realm in the Crimson World.

As awareness returned, a sensation of utter and absolute bliss washed across his mind—so intense it almost felt unreal. He did not allow any dramatic expression to surface, but the relief was profound.

His Primordial Body, for all its unparalleled might, lived in constant pain during the last couple of months due to the damage to his body, soul, and mind. Small flares of agony erupted at unpredictable intervals, cruel bursts capable of crushing anyone weaker. He had endured them silently, but that did not mean they were not horrifying.

But his Neo-Demon Body knew none of these torments. No wounds gnawed at his soul, no invisible blades carved through his mind, no exhaustion weighed down his limbs. The Scarlet King felt whole, balanced, powerful, and clear. He was at his peak.

Yet Cain did not forget what had forced him to abandon the Crimson World in the first place. At once, he sent his awareness inward, plunging into his heartspace where the Neo-Demon Core resided. A slow, widening smile spread across his face.

The blue rune-matrix that the Crimson Exarch had fused into his Neo-Demon pulsed steadily. Its structure was more stable than before, and though the fusion was not yet complete, it no longer demanded the entirety of his energy or soul force to maintain. The burden had eased dramatically.

Cain felt genuine surprise. The Supercomputer Assistant had estimated that the fusion would require eleven years at minimum, yet he had been gone for less than a decade. Searching for the answer, Cain commanded the Supercomputer Assistant.

”Supercomputer Assistant. Scan me.”

The response echoed coldly inside his mind, metallic and precise.

A radiant smile lit Cain’s features as he examined his cultivation base. The enormous pool of Origin Power he had harvested from the slain ArchDeities, combined with the overwhelming foundation granted by his Imperium Dream’s growth, had pushed his Divine Kingdom to Level 49—the absolute peak of the ArchDeity Rank. Only a single step separated him from the Alpha-Omega Overgod threshold.

His energy reserves and soul force explained the unexpectedly smooth fusion of the rune-matrix. Both had nearly doubled during his time confronting the Root in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe. And they were not the only aspects that had grown. His physical body, too, had undergone a dramatic rise—especially his strength.

Cain clenched his fists slowly, testing the weight and pressure of his new power. He immediately recognized the change: he had completed the final level of the Astra-Vajra Heartwork. Using Bradly’s heart for the last stage had pushed his bodily strength beyond the Early Alpha-Omega Overgod tier, placing him just a fraction below the middle stage.

Thrill welled within him, sharp and electric. His cultivation, his soul force, the very structure of his being—they had all blossomed. And the growth of his True Name was even more important. Strengthening it was the core reason he had entered the Crimson World in the first place. The more potent his True Name became, the greater the amplification it would grant Leviathan upon their return to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

If he pushed it far enough, it might even provide the decisive edge he needed to advance along the Ego Eternal Path of Power, evolving Leviathan to the Alpha-Omega Overgod Rank. With that, he could face whatever abomination the Root might unleash.

And the fastest path to growth was devouring.

”The Fourth Astral Black Hole is ready. And I already know its next prey.”

A cold, brutal smile curved across his lips as he rose to his feet. Conviction settled in his bones, firm and unshakable. He was ready to move—

But before he could take a single step, a tremor rippled through his core. His muscles shuddered, his soul vibrated, and a resonant pulse spread from the very center of his existence.

The sudden surge caught him off guard, but only for a breath. Then the smile on his face widened, stretching toward something feral.

The force shaking him was not harmful. It was something infinitely greater—a power that could ripple across universes, a force that stood beyond Laws, Concepts, and even Oniric Truths.

”The Power of Chaos.”

As the words formed in his mind, countless threads of connection flared into being. He sensed every entity linked to him across the Crimson World. And none burned brighter than the young woman meditating within the Divine Kingdom fused to his own.

His connection with Meylin deepened instantly. The Scarlet Sun anchored in the True Depravita’s Soul Dimension had already tied them together, but Chaos strengthened that bond to an entirely new level.

Cain’s aura surged. A torrent of Depravita Aura and Depravita Power flooded his body, merging seamlessly with his Neo-Demon essence. Through the Power of Chaos, he could now generate Depravita Aura at the same magnitude as Meylin herself—and more astonishingly, he could wield all of her Depravita Powers. Negative Teleportation, Depravita Mist, corruptive echoes—all of them flowed through him with effortless clarity.

And beyond that, even more remarkable: he could channel every Oniric Truth she possessed as though they were his own.
