Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1090: Principal Was Also Watching

”She’s actually this strong?”

”No way. She actually wins against her teacher.”

”But won’t this make her teacher average?”

”Right? Although he’s limiting his power, and her familiars are allowed to assist her in battle, he still should win to retain his dignity as a teacher.”

The people thought Nathan had lost, but while the bullet struck his barrier and shattered that part, the bullet had never reached Nathan.

That was right. Nathan’s right hand sneakily formed another barrier. It was small but thick.

Iris sucked a cold breath. ”Even that is not enough?”

She had prepared this strategy for a long time, thinking she could use it to defeat a second-year student.

”It would have worked on a lot of people. But your opponent is also a marksman. What’s the most important quality of a marksman?” Nathan asked as though he read her mind.

”Ah!” Iris almost forgot about this. The most important quality was obviously their vision. A marksman needed a clear, large field of vision.

In other words, Nathan had seen Iris among the crystals. All the bullets never confused him in the first place.

”You should mix some explosive bullets next time.”

That sentence gave her goosebumps. ’That’s right. If you just think the barrier is enough to block all those bullets, you could focus on other threats, such as my sniping. However, if I add explosive bullets into the mix, those explosive bullets will somehow hit him hard or even break the barrier. Hence, my opponent has no choice but to focus on the initial attack.’

”You have grown a lot since the last time I saw you. Should I step up my game?” Nathan smiled.

Iris didn’t answer. Still, she took a deep breath and hid herself among the crystals, using her action to reply to Nathan.

”I will have to leave for a while, so this will be your homework after mastering your bullets.” Nathan grinned.

This time, Nathan formed one explosive bullet, but with the new method.

”!!!” Both Iris and the mithril golem sensed the danger coming from this explosive bullet.

When Nathan sent it forward, the golem formed a lot of crystals and combined them, creating a wall.

However, the moment the bullet exploded, it shattered everything within a twenty-meter (66-foot) radius, including that thick wall.

The explosion was much more powerful than anyone had seen before.

Even August couldn’t help but widen his eyes in shock.

”What kind of explosion was that?”

”That kind of explosion could be formed by that amount of ena?”

”Impossible.”

The students couldn’t believe it. In fact, even the seniors thought the same.

”Hahaha... To think he would be using that technique to create that explosion...”

People couldn’t help but turn around because of the new voice. They instantly recognized who it was. ”Principal Leyfon!”

Leyfon waved his hand with a smile on his face.

”Principal.” August politely bowed. ”Can you really produce that powerful explosion with that amount of ena?”

”Yes, you can. It requires a certain level of control. In fact, there was a person with that kind of control who once sat in your position, August.”

”Huh? A vice president of the student council?” August frowned.

”Yeah.” Leyfon nodded. He didn’t say her name, but those who knew her would definitely say the same name. Evelyn Lavender.

”Most people are controlling their ena differently. My control focuses on the combination of basic control, some focus on overall strength, some condense their power, and so on.

”But originally, the control of ena is divided into two categories: particle and wave. Most people are the latter.

”However, there was once a student whose control was different from anyone else’s. She controlled not the ena that was visible in your own eyes, but the ena that was practically smaller than the one you can see.”

”Ena smaller than the one you can see...” August and other students gasped.

”Yeah. Ena is a particle and a wave. They can accumulate energy and release it in the form of a wave. What we’ve been doing is controlling that wave. Even the control that makes me famous is just another application of controlling that energy wave.

”However, the one you’re seeing right now is the control over particles. He’s creating explosive bullets as small as possible and forming a single explosive bullet. As a result, those smaller explosive particles will cause a chain reaction, which ultimately creates a much bigger explosion.

”We call this kind of control, Micro Control.”

”Micro Control!” August clenched his hands into fists.

”However, this kind of control is unconventional. Not only is it hard to learn, but it is also putting a massive toll on one’s mind. That’s why it’s not popular and only a glimmer of people in the world is even practicing this kind of control.

”Even the academy won’t really put it in its curriculum. After all, people who learn this control might even need a few years to take one step forward, while others might have taken tens of steps. However, once they take one step, it’s equal to one hundred steps.”

Leyfon believed that rather than letting the people learn this kind of control and end up getting swallowed by the difficulty, it would have been better to go the convenient way.

”Still, if you want to learn, there’s a teacher who has that kind of skill. If that teacher recognizes you, you can learn directly from him.” Leyfon winked playfully.

The people gasped. They never thought Iris’ teacher was even stronger than the rumors.

”Principal... This is something I’m curious about. What’s Nathan’s current strength? I can’t sense his strength directly. I know he’s much stronger than me, but I can’t assess the details.”

”Him?” Leyfon thought for a moment. ”Let’s just say... He’s already at the level of most teachers here. It will probably take him a few months at most to become an arcane level summoner.”

”Arcane level summoner?” They thought they had heard it wrong... No, they wanted to believe they had heard it wrong. Nathan was just 17 years old, but Leyfon was saying he could become an arcane level summoner at that age?

And Iris was taught by that monstrous genius. It was simply too shocking. At first, people were jealous of Iris’ talent, but this time, they realized only a monster could raise another monster.
