Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1063: Family Name That Shocked the Entire Kingdom

They simply couldn’t believe it. Having an equal number meant they had no other choice but to focus on their respective targets. In other words, their comrades wouldn’t be able to help each other.

Their victory had to depend on their own ability. Evelyn not only had the ability to kill a world class summoner but was reported to have no serious injury.

In a battle between two world class summoners, there should be some serious injuries. After all, those who had reached this level had their respective trump cards, which became the reason they didn’t want to attempt something rash.

The fact that Evelyn took down Garam in that condition meant Evelyn managed to overpower Garam.

The prime minister asked, ”Commander Mattheus... Are you saying that her strength...”

”Yeah. Even I feel threatened...” Mattheus nodded. ”I’ve confirmed it with the report from several years ago. The report stated that to save everyone from that banquet, she had to take another element.

”Anyone would have died by now, but what was even more shocking was that... when she released her ability, the two elements fused with each other.”

”!!!” The Director of the Magic Division couldn’t help but step forward. ”Fuse with each other? What are you talking about?”

”Literally. Even I don’t want to believe it, but she... has enough talent to reach that level.” Mattheus’ expression remained firm.

”That’s impossible. Having two elements means the conflict between two elements, which will kill you. Yet, you’re saying that not only does she manage to overcome the conflict, but she has also fused them?”

”That’s what I’m saying.” Mattheus clenched his hands into fists.

”Such a genius! The Liaystian Kingdom has produced a genius.” The director cheered. The people couldn’t help but feel the same. The happiest person would definitely be Marquis Lavender.

In fact, some people congratulated him right away.

Only the king remained grim as he noticed Mattheus’ expression. ”What’s wrong, Mattheus? Is this not a good thing?”

”It was supposed to be a good thing...”

Those words instantly stunned the people. They were confused. Why would it not be a good thing anymore?

”Why?” The king’s expression darkened after that reply.

”You should ask these two, Your Majesty.” Mattheus pointed at Marquis Lavender and his wife.

”Huh?” The people, especially Marquis Lavender, were confused. ”What do you mean, Commander Mattheus?”

Just thinking about it annoyed him. Mattheus raised his voice, his anger could be felt clearly. ”I don’t know what happened. However, there are three conclusions.

”First of all, she has a deep hatred of her own family. The reason can only be answered by these two... For what reason does a daughter of that family have a fallout with her parents and regard herself as a tool?”

”!!!” Marquis Lavender was shaken. It looked as if he remembered something.

Mattheus didn’t stop. ”Secondly, I couldn’t think of any potential reasons why she wouldn’t come back... However, after thinking about it, she might have returned in the past...

”Yet, on the day of her return, instead of receiving a warm welcome after experiencing the most terrifying day in the past 50 years, she found out everything and took her leave and brought away her best friend.”

The people instantly directed their glare at Marquis Lavender.

His wife had remembered that conversation as well... the conversation they had with the Slavina family. Did she return at that time and somehow overhear their conversation?

”Your Majesty...” Marquis Lavender tried to explain herself.

Yet, the king maintained his focus on the topic. ”What’s the last one?”

Mattheus took a deep breath before saying, ”She has changed her name to Evelyn Reckmoon.”

”Reckmoon?”

”A new family name?”

”Evelyn Reckmoon?”

”Wait. I did feel something nostalgic. It’s the same as calling her former name in the past... unlike calling her Evelyn Lavender now...”

”What’s going on?”

The people had begun to notice the complex situation they were currently in. But they still had one question. Is there a family called Reckmoon?

The king squinted his eyes. ”Do you know that person’s identity?”

”Before stating her new name, she glanced back at her group, so I assumed someone from that group had that name.

”At first, I didn’t think there was anyone like that. But her gaze at that time... that gaze was specifically directed at Nathan...

”I’m afraid this will be the family name that the unique summoner will popularize. Unlike a family name granted using the power of the royal family, popularizing a new family name requires the world’s attention and strength.

”So, we might soon hear about the name Nathan Reckmoon from this point on.”

*Hiss!*

Everyone felt chills down their spines. The prime minister couldn’t help but notice the implications of this name. ”Don’t tell me... Evelyn Reckmoon...”

”Yes, I’m afraid that her relationship is similar to Selena Ashton, Serafina Dialanta, Flora Viette Ezelia, Noelle Flamante, and Alavenya Silveresta,” confirmed Mattheus.

This meant they lost one of their world class summoners to Nathan. He even had a lot of connections prior to this matter, so the addition of a genius of this level would allow the Reckmoon family to become one of, if not the strongest, families in the world.

”I’m not sure about what’s happening as well... But I’m afraid that the unique summoner has his hand on the name as well. He might be the one helping her change her family name to the point where we can even feel it.

”This kind of method is ruthless. At the same time, this makes me think that Evelyn Lavender was never born into the Lavender family.

”I apologize for requesting a summons from you, Your Majesty. But I have explained my case, starting from their strength to everything that has contributed to this situation.

”Evelyn, without a doubt, is a genius that the world has to recognize. We might have been underestimating her this whole time. She might truly be someone who could go toe-to-toe with Elysion Aquamoon.

”In addition, she is extremely close to the unique summoner. We will probably be able to get all this...” Mattheus’ face turned dark as he shifted his gaze to William Lavender. ”...if not for this family. If this doesn’t justify the summons, then I’m willing to step down as the commander of the Summoner Division.”
