Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1065: Figuring Out Nathan’s Secret

”Noo!” William shouted as he and his wife were dragged outside. Some nobles were bitter about the result, while some felt relieved. They really had no other choice. In fact, they silently scorned the two of them for making them lose such a huge power and connection.

The king asked, ”Now that the problem is out of the way, do you have any other explanation regarding her name, Commander Mattheus, Director Lanick?”

Mattheus shook his head. ”Unfortunately, no. I don’t understand anything about the name. It’s a weird method that I have never heard of before.”

Lanick lowered his head. ”I apologize, Your Majesty. I don’t have an explanation. However, there’s something bothering me with the fusion of the two elements.”

”Hmm?” The king squinted his eyes.

”After some time, I finally remembered that there’s a certain case regarding multiple elements. In history, there’s one person who manages to have multiple absolute elements.”

”Are you perhaps talking about the Queen of Elements?” The prime minister asked.

”Yes. The Queen of Elements managed to have multiple elements in the past, but it was solely due to her innate ability. Innate Ability is an ability that you’re born with, but in history, there were only three people recorded to possess it, and one of them is still alive today.

”They are Mikhail Havengard, Luvia Elia Ariesta, and Elysion Aquamoon.”

Mattheus crossed his arms. ”I don’t think Evelyn has an innate ability. If she has, she should have been more monstrous.”

”That’s indeed true. This might be pure talent alone. However, it’s clear that her talent is so powerful that it’s close to or even rivals that of an innate ability.”

”And we lose someone like that...”

”That’s indeed correct.” Director Lanick scratched the back of her head. ”Still, talent is one thing, but the fact that a talent rivaling an innate ability can exist means there’s a chance for us to possess it as well.

”Through the advance of knowledge, we might be able to figure it out as well. At least, the possibility is there.”

”Interesting.” Mattheus crossed his arms. ”Replacing a certain level of talent with knowledge. If it’s really possible, then this matter is not entirely a loss. Besides, it’s not like other kingdoms can claim her as well.”

”Yes, it’s just... There’s something I’m a bit curious about. This is pure speculation.” Lanick raised one finger. ”According to you, she looked at the unique summoner before stating her name, right?”

”Yes. Is there something wrong? Isn’t it just an attachment?”

”Not entirely. Nathan might have been the one granting her name through this unusual method. It’s just... if we think about it, his existence is already unusual. Having beasts as his familiars, being able to grant someone a name...

”What if he has an innate ability?”

”!!!” The people who heard his claim couldn’t help but gasp.

”Director. That’s not something you can easily mention. Are you trying to say that Nathan has a power similar to Elysion Aquamoon?”

”I mean, look at him right now.” Lanick shrugged. ”He has beasts as his familiars. Then, he possesses such a weird method. His current strength should be at least grandmaster level.

”His rapid growth is something no one has ever seen before. Isn’t this the same as Elysion Aquamoon?

”When he was young, Elysion Aquamoon had a growth no one had ever seen before. He was weird because he formed and combined lifebound contracts related to ’Death.’ Before we knew it, he had become a world class summoner.”

”...” Mattheus frowned. ”Still, is it enough to justify an innate ability?”

”I’m skeptical as well. It’s just... you have to look at the people around him as well. For example, Selena Ashton.

”I admit that her talent is quite strong. To be able to summon a countess as her first familiar is clearly a sign that her talent is above the rest.

”But do you think she will reach the grandmaster level at such an age? You mentioned previously that there were many grandmaster level summoners in Divine Hand, so they might be the ones handling them, so their strength had to be the same.

”Saintess Serafina is the same. She might be talented and the most beloved disciple of the pope, but her growth became drastic only after staying near him.

”What about Her Highness Flora, Noelle Flamante, and even Alavenya Silveresta? They were talented, but their cases are similar to Saintess Serafina. Do you think this is just a coincidence?

”Last but not least, there’s one more person who has an unexpected talent. The girl who claims to be Nathan’s disciple. She has awakened her ena and officially become the youngest summoner in the world.

”Why does it look like... anyone around him can grow so quickly? If we combine all this information together, I don’t think my claim is not entirely unreasonable.

”I suspect he has an innate ability. Since all innate abilities recorded in history are different, his innate ability is something we have never seen before.

”If I have to speculate, it’s something that can be shared with others. For example, a ’Granting’ type innate ability. Granting a name, granting a unique summoning identity, or even granting speed for their own growth...”

The entire hall fell silent. His explanation wasn’t entirely unreasonable. If Nathan possessed an innate ability, everything that had happened so far could be explained.

At the same time, if Nathan possessed such a thing, this matter had escalated to a whole new level.

All the people who had an innate ability in the past had become historical figures. Mikhail Havengard was the hero that protected the world, Luvia Elia Ariesta was the woman loved by elements who became the top summoner at such a young age, and Elysion Aquamoon broke her record.

More importantly, Nathan’s innate ability could be shared with others. He could make himself the strongest, but the people around him would be the same. If Elysion had a million-strong undead army, Nathan would have an army of world class summoners.

And this talent might look independent, but he was extremely close to the Azilia Kingdom, not their kingdom.

A sense of crisis immediately rose in their hearts.
