Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1071: Defeat

”This is bullying!” Alavenya shouted in panic as she kept dodging his bullets. Once Nathan materialized the concept in his mind, he formed the bullets much faster than the first time. His control became even more refined as time passed.

On the other hand, Alavenya had a hard time even with her Dragon Armor.

”What bullying? I’m doing my best to defeat you. Our battle hasn’t ended yet!” Nathan shrugged as he kept sending bullet after bullet.

Because of the new concept, he had to retract his Machine Gun Version. Once he was able to form the bullets of his machine gun into something similar, he could finally use it again.

”This is clearly bullying.” Alavenya punched the bullets with the Dragon Fist, but it could only neutralize the bullets. With Nathan maintaining his distance, there was simply no way for her to get close to him.

In addition, Nathan had always been sneaky with his power. When she was running around, she suddenly saw a magic circle appearing out of nowhere.

”You...” Alavenya hurriedly covered her entire body with her ena while raising both arms in front.

The magic circle disappeared, followed by a massive explosion. That was right. This was a bomb that was made under the new concept. He sealed it with the magic circle and took advantage of the grass to hide its location.

Thanks to the new concept, the bomb became much smaller while causing a bigger explosion.

Alavenya was blown away by that bomb and landed on the ground 30 meters (99 feet) away from the blast.

”Kh.” Alavenya complained, ”This is too much, don’t you think?”

”What are you talking about? Don’t you see your current form?” Nathan pointed at her. ”Although its shape is still rough, you are gradually forming your Dragon Scale.”

”!!!” Alavenya didn’t realize it. She hurriedly looked at her arms. Even though she got hit by the blast, the damage was reduced drastically due to the ena covering her body.

And she did it so naturally that she didn’t even realize it. ”Still, do you think my Dragon Armor and Dragon Scale can pose a threat against you right now?”

”Of course not.” Nathan grinned. ”But this is a sparring match. You haven’t lost yet, so I have no choice but to make you admit defeat.”

”You are really a bastard.” Alavenya definitely wanted to punch that grinning face.

”And now you’re angry.”

”!!!” Alavenya raised her eyebrows. She didn’t realize she had become so agitated that she forgot about her anger management.

The reason her strength grew was due to her controlling her anger. That explosive anger had been turned into her Second Drive.

But without her realizing it, the continuous provocation and that ever-grinning face had just broken through her control.

The battle was concluded the moment she lost control over her source of strength, which was her anger.

”...” Alavenya suddenly fell silent before saying, ”I’ve lost.”

”Huh?” It was Nathan’s turn to get confused this time. There was no way Alavenya admitted defeat so easily. She was probably the most stubborn among them, so defeating her was something even Nathan had a hard time achieving.

Contrary to his expectations, Alavenya admitted defeat right away.

”Huh, what? I admit defeat, alright? Shouldn’t you be happy that you won?”

”Well... I’m happy, but...” Nathan scratched the back of his head. ”This is not like you.”

”Heh.” Alavenya suddenly turned smug.

”You’re happy that I defeated you?”

”No. Do you think I will continue to fight you in this situation when I see that it’s hopeless to win against you even with my Dragon Armor and Dragon Scale?

”I bet you think that with my personality, I will continue fighting, so it means you will have more time to practice your new bullets on me.

”Shame on you. I’m not going to let you do it.”

”...” Nathan was speechless. He definitely thought about it. Since it was hard to make her surrender, he just had to take his time while practicing with his new bullets. Having real practice was much better for him, so he didn’t think much of it.

But with Alavenya admitting defeat all of a sudden, his plan was messed up.

”Do you think you’re the only one who can be annoying?” Alavenya stuck out her tongue. ”I can be petty too!”

Nathan’s eyebrows twitched for the first time when handling her. This pettiness reminded him of the Dragon King when he tried to ’scam’ him. ”You are really your father’s daughter...”

Alavenya harrumphed. She finally got back at him after all this time.

”Well, I guess I have to reward you. There’s something I think you can pull off. Have you heard about a martial art that can destroy its target from the inside?”

”I have definitely heard about it.” Alavenya nodded.

”Why don’t you learn about it as well? If I were your opponent, destroying me from the inside would prove to be more useful. Just destroy my bullets through that method. Whether it’s my bullets or shield, it won’t be able to stand against it.

”For a direct attack, you can use your current techniques. Mastering both the outside and the inside force...” Nathan winked playfully, giving her a hint.

”Inside and outside...” Alavenya looked down, falling into deep thought.

Nathan’s idea originated with Ying Zhen. Although he hadn’t been able to see him yet, Ying Zhen must have been strong enough, like the transcendent in the novels.

If that was the case, it would be better for Alavenya to have a similar path. She would probably be the first human in this world that would walk the path of a martial god.

”Unfortunately, I can only tell you about it but not really explain anything. Rather than me, you probably want to ask Ying Zhen.”

”Selena’s familiar?”

”Yeah. He might be able to tell you more about it.” Nathan nodded. ”Well, it’s just for consideration.”

”I will discuss it in the near future.” Alavenya agreed with the arrangement.

Since their battle ended in such an abrupt way, it was time for Nathan to tease her back. ”Now, now. You’ve admitted defeat. Isn’t it time for you to pay up? Now smile and say the words!”

*Crack—!* Alavenya suddenly felt like breaking into pieces and fell to the ground, remembering their bet.
