Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1060: My Name, Evelyn Reckmoon

Evelyn stood in midair, glaring at the air. However, a figure suddenly appeared out of thin air as though he had been standing in that position the whole time.

”I wondered if that kid had a backer that could deal with Garam Haygaiden, so I came here to assist.

”Although I have heard the report from Roodie, I never thought I would see a certain girl grow this much in such a short period.

”You sure surprised me. After disappearing for several years, everyone thinks you are dead. They definitely won’t believe that you have become a world class summoner.”

Evelyn harrumphed. ”As you can see... I’ve defeated Garam Haygaiden. Now, you can go back.”

”Looks like you have so much hatred of me. What have I done to garner that kind of hatred, I wonder?”

”I don’t hate you and don’t make me hate you.” Evelyn warned him. If he tried to attack them, she would hate him and would do her best to kill him.

”Jeez. Being threatened like this doesn’t sound pleasant.”

”I’m not a noble anymore. That’s why I won’t beat around the bush, like how you nobles love to talk. Leave this place, Commander of the Summoner Division, Duke Mattheus Kyral. Or are you going to stand in my path like those Kron dogs?”

”Whoa. As expected, you hated those Krons a lot.” Mattheus smiled wryly. ”Then again, it’s understandable. They were in your way a lot in the past, and the massacre of the Slavina family was done by the Kron family.”

”I have told you to stop talking about unnecessary things. Leave this place, or I will make you leave.” Evelyn’s killing intent soared.

”Well, as the commander of the Summoner Division, I have the obligation to be here, don’t you think?” Mattheus’ eyes turned cold. ”Suppose I say I will remain here...”

The energy from her body burst out. The two elements surged and fused together, shocking even Mattheus.

She directed her killing intent at Mattheus. ”In that case, we will see what happens after that.”

”...” Mattheus closed his eyes. ”Fine. I’ll take my leave.”

Evelyn didn’t retract her energy yet, pressing Mattheus to leave.

”To think that after a few years, you have become such a strong woman. And that setback has caused you to evolve even further... The fusion of two elements... I wonder how many people in this world can do that. I bet you’re the only person.

”However, I want to ask you two questions. As long as you answer these two questions, I will leave immediately.”

Even Evelyn didn’t want to fight him. She had exhausted a lot of ena fighting Garam, so she didn’t have enough ena to engage in another fight. ”Ask.”

”First question. Why did you leave the kingdom? We should have enough resources to protect you after that incident? Why would you hide?”

”You should ask that question to William Lavender and Ellia Crestine.”

”Your parents.” Mattheus sensed something was wrong when Evelyn mentioned those two names. It was as if she were just a stranger to them, so she didn’t bother to call them her parents anymore. Something was definitely going on.

”In that case, my second question...” Mattheus paused for a moment, noticing the incoming people. It looked like Bella had gathered Revon and the others to support her.

Before the clash happened, Mattheus raised two fingers. ”Never thought even Isabella Slavina is with you... In that case, my second question. Have you forgotten your roots?”

Evelyn smiled in contempt. ”In that case, I should answer that question with another question. What is my name?”

”Huh?” Mattheus didn’t understand what was going on. He just said her name. ”Of course, I know. You’re Evelyn Lavender... eh?”

Mattheus fell silent. Just like Evelyn, the emptiness of the word ’Lavender’ was apparent in his mind as well.

”It looks like you have noticed it.”

”What did you do?” Mattheus frowned. Even with his vast experience, he had never felt anything like this before.

”Evelyn Lavender had never existed. The only thing that existed was a tool.” Evelyn glanced back, her gaze directed at Nathan. With a firm resolve, she claimed, ”I am Evelyn Reckmoon. And I shall be known as Evelyn Reckmoon from this point onward.”

”Evelyn Reckmoon?” Mattheus got the familiar feeling again. She was the girl he had met multiple times in the past. But ’Reckmoon’ was not a name he recognized. In addition, the little peek she took didn’t escape his eyes.

It was clear that she was looking at Nathan. Although it was unclear whether Nathan had something to do with that weird feeling or not, it was clear Evelyn took that name from Nathan.

The meaning of that name was clear. Root? What root did she have? The human Evelyn never existed in the Lavender family. There was only Evelyn as a tool. And that tool had broken and vanished.

The one standing before him was Evelyn, whose roots linked closely to Nathan.

There was no need to ask her family anymore. The hatred of her family stemmed from the thought of her as a tool.

Evelyn disappeared after that banquet, but there was a chance she had returned. And she probably found out at that time, which resulted in this situation.

If she was still Evelyn Lavender, this achievement could be taken directly by their kingdom, and the Lavender family would be happy to the point where they wanted Evelyn to return to their house.

To prove that Evelyn Lavender didn’t belong to them anymore, she changed her name with this weird method. If the kingdom took her achievement, other kingdoms would use this as a weapon to invite Evelyn. Even if they failed to invite her, it was enough to make the Liaystian Kingdom a laughingstock.

More importantly, the blame was on the Lavender family. If Evelyn didn’t hate them, everything would be theirs, including a new world class summoner, whose talent was similar to Elysion Aquamoon.

A fusion of two elements, a world class summoner at such a young age, and an organization with multiple arcane level summoners as well as a deep connection with Nathan. If she ever returned to the kingdom, no one could refuse if she wanted to become a duchess.

This was probably the biggest loss that the Liaystian Kingdom had made over the past decade.
