Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1057: Innate Ability

”I can’t move my finger!”

”!!!” Qilin raised his eyebrows.

”Her skill is blank. If I add one into it, it’s most likely to create an innate ability instead of a normal skill. I don’t think it’s possible, Qilin,” explained Nathan. They had only 20 seconds left, so he thought it would be impossible.

”If that’s the case, then let’s not do it.” Qilin shook his head. The innate ability might only appear once someone died, so there was no way for him to do it.

If they tried to push it, some harm might come to his summoner. Hence, Qilin chose to back out.

”No, wait...” Nathan thought of something.

”Summoner. Don’t risk it.”

”No. I have thought about something.” Nathan almost forgot about this. Evelyn was supposed to die in this scenario. Or at least, the contract had died for her, so there should be an innate ability in it.

Then, the reason she didn’t have one might be that she didn’t accumulate karma to awaken her innate ability.

In that case, what if he continued with a slightly different approach? Nathan formed a contract in his hand.

”Nathan will exchange the remaining energy from the alien for a skill that can stabilize the space element and the gravity element together and will grant it permanently to Evelyn Reckmoon.”

Nathan only had a few seconds left, so he hurriedly gave the thumbprint, but the next second, the status panel disappeared.

It meant two things. First, the time was up. At the same time, it showed that Evelyn was no longer Nathan’s. That was right. The ownership had gone because he was granted the ownership of Evelyn Lavender, not Evelyn Reckmoon.

Once he lost the right to change her information, his right was gone.

But at the last moment, he saw something in Evelyn’s skill.

[Blessing of the Elements (Minor) - 29 days remaining]

”The elements are calming down? What did you do?” Qilin gasped.

Nathan smiled. ”As expected, the world is a database. It stores all kinds of information, including information about innate ability.

”At the last moment, I saw an innate ability, ’Blessing of the Elements.’ This must have been the innate ability of the Queen of Elements in the past. And it looks to be only a downgraded version. The remaining ena can only grant her 30 days of that innate ability.”

”Database?” Qilin fell into silence, recalling the word ’database’ in the memory he got from Nathan. Then he connected everything to this innate ability. ”I see...”

”You have been getting the power to control elements from the world, which you have used most of the time for the absolute ice element.

”And you’re using the same concept, but for the innate ability?” asked Anubis.

”Yes.” Nathan nodded. ”I noticed it was possible when I recalled how I removed her name and added a new family name.”

”That can only be done if the world itself is a database, a place to store data.”

”Indeed.” Nathan smiled. ”And it looks like I’ve succeeded.”

”Still, it’s only for 30 days, no? And it’s only the downgraded version, which means it’s probably only effective for the two elements she has, not like the Queen of Elements.” Anubis asked.

”It might be, but a genius like her will probably find out what’s going on with the Innate Ability and somehow overcome that challenge. With her control, there’s a chance for her to imitate it, which will probably solve her problem in the future.

”This is not what we’re aiming for, but this is a new path that can be taken.” Nathan dropped to his butt. ”I’m tired. My body is numb, and my brain is exhausted.”

Anubis and Qilin exchanged looks. Evelyn’s micro control was extraordinary. Even they didn’t have this kind of control. It was, after all, a unique path.

With her micro control and talent, she probably could imitate that innate ability to a certain extent. This would solve the problem of her elements.

Qilin finally gave a confirmation. ”If that’s indeed possible, then she will become much stronger.

”Without the need to worry about her elements rioting anymore, she might be able to use her elements without any repercussions.

”From her injuries, it’s clear that she was combining space and gravity earlier to create an even more terrifying power. That was what caused her injury.

”If the side effect of the two elements could be overcome, she might be able to master that fusion.”

”Fusion, huh?” Nathan looked up, thinking, ’Now that I think about it, I should probably make a more powerful bullet, right? Cruise Missile? Ballistic Missile?

’No, should I go even further? What if I learn Micro Control from her? Can I create an explosion at the micro level?

’Maybe I can create an even bigger explosion? Like an atomic bomb? Nuclear missiles... If we’re going to fight beings like Azathoth in the future, I probably need an even stronger missile, right? Is it time to transform my Gun Control System to the likes of science fiction bullets?

’With ena, it’s possible...’ Nathan’s eyes flashed. He had a lot more ideas in his head. It looked like the next development would be a bit more interesting.

”At least, as we expected, she’s not mine anymore.” Nathan glanced at Anubis. ”What is her condition?”

”Everything looks normal. I have healed her body, and it looks like her elements have stabilized as well, right?” Anubis shifted his gaze to Qilin.

”Yes. The elements have stabilized. However, after taking another look at the situation, there are two reasons for your success here.

”First of all, she has been in the ’state’ of death due to the curse as well as the contract. The second is the karma accumulated by the alien himself.

”Helping Mikhail Havengard should bring him a lot of good karma, but transforming humans into aliens has given him bad karma. The ena is just the medium for that transaction to happen.

”The other two are the requirements for an innate ability. So, don’t expect another success.”

Nathan nodded in understanding. ”Fair point. Well, we’re lucky today...”

Anubis and Qilin just rolled their eyes. The biggest factor was never mentioned. It was his luck with women. That was what actually saved her. In fact, that luck might have been the one setting everything in the position to save her.

Nevertheless, Evelyn finally woke up.
