Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1055: World Register

“What?!” Nathan blinked his eyes a few times.

“If you are going to have a family name in the future, what will it be? I am going to use it.”

“What are you…” Nathan would like to feel thrilled, but this was simply too much. He didn’t want it through this method.

“If I manage to recover from this, it will be a new beginning. After listening to this alien, I can’t help but think whether my journey has truly ended or not after achieving my goal or not… At that time, a certain thought appeared in my mind. I was thinking… maybe traveling around the world, no, worlds might not be so bad at all.”

“…” Nathan furrowed his eyebrows. Rejecting this request sounded right to him, but her pleading gaze made him think twice. Ultimately, he asked, “Are you sure you’re not going to regret this?”

“Yeah,” said Evelyn without hesitation.

Nathan facepalmed. What she demanded was not an ordinary family register. She wanted a world register. “Fine.”

“Thank you.”

Nathan didn’t respond to her thanks. Instead, he was thinking about what he should put in his family name.

According to others, as long as one became strong enough, they could just tell people the family name attached to their name, which they created themselves. People might object to it, but if their fist was big enough, they could simply shut them up. Eventually, that family name would spread around and turn into the real family name.

Unlike a family name granted by the nobility, this method gave freedom to the people. Of course, the challenge was hard as well.

Hence, he had to come up with a family name. Nothing could come into his mind. Some names were good but didn’t feel right. Some were bad but felt comfortable.

In the end, there was only one name that Nathan could think of. It was the family name he had on Earth.

Although he wanted to leave his past behind, it was what defined him up to this point. He came this far because he overcame all that hardship.

Nathan took a deep breath before saying, “In that case, if you don’t have any further requests, I’m going to begin. Please sign the contract.”

Nathan bit his thumb and pressed all three contracts before giving them their respective contracts.

“It doesn’t have to be a thumbprint. Anything will do, including your blood. I can’t help you from this point on because it will be considered annulled due to the contract manipulation,” explained Nathan. He, of course, had experimented with it in the past with his familiars. No one could help during the signing process, which prevented Nathan from abusing it.

After all, he could force the weak to sign a contract of servitude. Then again, it was good because this would also stop him from accumulating bad karma from that manipulation.

“Please put it in front of my face,” requested Evelyn. She couldn’t move her body but had enough energy to at least move her head a bit.

She bit her lip and kissed the contract, smearing her blood on it.

The alien, on the other hand, used the last bit of its energy to control the tentacles on its body. One tentacle bit the other, making it bleed. Then, the alien asked, “Please destroy the glasses.”

Nathan formed a small knife with his ena and cut the tank. Qilin created a barrier that stopped the flowing water, but this small gap was enough for the tentacle to pass through.

With Roggoth signing the contract, the contract could finally be activated.

“Let’s begin!” Nathan nodded. “Roggoth. Thank you for agreeing to this contract.”

“No problem. Just make sure you fulfill the agreement. At the end of my life, I can find an amusing person like you… It’s really not a bad life. Woman… Make sure you don’t waste my life.”

“Yes,” answered Evelyn with a solemn tone.

“Good. Let’s begin, Human Nathan.”

Nathan nodded and activated the contract.

Roggoth could feel his energy being sucked away by an invisible force. He got the feeling that even if he resisted, it would be impossible to stop it. It was definitely a wondrous technique.

Roggoth simply enjoyed the last thing he could feel in his life as his consciousness gradually disappeared.

His life had ended, his flesh shrank as if every bit of life had been squeezed from it, and his core shattered into pieces as the ena fused with the other two.

Nathan then activated the second contract.

Evelyn and Nathan could feel the link between them. It was definitely not a link between a summoner and its familiar.

It was clear that Nathan was above her. The feeling was a bit unpleasant, but he had to focus on something else.

With the contract activating, Evelyn’s existence gradually disappeared even though she was still right before them. It was as if she existed between reality and illusion.

Meanwhile, the familiar presence started to grow in the contract. All of Evelyn’s familiars must have noticed the sudden change.

Thanks to the link with Nathan as well as the contract, the curse that had been eating her body suddenly stopped.

“!!!” Nathan narrowed his eyes. “Anubis…”

“Yes, it’s stopping… No, it’s starting to leave her body,” confirmed Anubis.

Both of them could see the black curse on her body gradually moving to one side. At the tip, the curse was slightly moving away as if it was detaching itself from Evelyn.

Eventually, the curse was attaching itself to the contract as though it were alive. Instead of her body, it was gradually destroying the contract.

“Get ready. The real battle will begin the moment the curse completely leaves her body,” warned Anubis. “You are going to erase her family name first before adding a new one. Qilin and I will be stopping the curse for as long as possible, but it might not be long enough. Only after all this has been completed can we try adding a new skill.”

Nathan acknowledged. He observed the curse closely while activating the third contract, which was the right to change Evelyn’s information.

Once the third contract was active, he could see Evelyn’s information on the contract instead of the real body.

He waited patiently until the one minute was up. This was the first time he felt 60 seconds like 60 minutes.

Still, the time had finally come. Evelyn’s status suddenly disappeared from the contract and returned to the real body.

Anubis shouted, “Now!”
