Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 751: Sullivanʼs New Condition

”I will give you a mission.” Sullivan sighed. ”You can expect ten warrior class aliens as an opponent. I will ask Layfon to observe you to see if you have the strength to do it or not.

”If not, I will not give you the information and I wonʼt disclose that information unless I confirm that every single one of you has become a grandmaster.

”What will you do? Do you dare to accept it? This is the last time you can back down.”

Selena had expected a lot of aliens, but ten warrior class aliens made her wonder if they could do it. After all, aside from those ten aliens, they were expected to fight thousands of lower-level aliens.

Nathan closed his eyes for a moment, while Selena thought hard, wondering if they had the ability to do it or not.

After considering everything they had experienced so far, Nathan decided. ”Weʼll take the mission.”

”Because you are expected to move in a group, youʼre allowed to fight together. Layfon will tell me everything from how the fight progresses to your plan to tackle the problems. If you complete the mission, Iʼll give you that information. Deal?”

”Deal.” Nathan nodded.

”Alright. I will give you one week to prepare. Bring your group here one week later and receive the details of the mission. You donʼt expect me to tell you about it right now, no? If you want to find her father, you donʼt have the ability to scout that far ahead or the time to calculate everything.

”In other words, Iʼm testing your flexibility, judgment, and strength on this mission,” explained Sullivan.

Nathan agreed. ”I understand. In that case, weʼll return once Anubis is done with the soldiers.”

Sullivan sighed. Before Nathan left, Sullivan added, ”I know you are confident, but sometimes, your recklessness might haunt you for the rest of your life.

”Donʼt forget that while theyʼre following you, they are still the daughter of a king, a mercenary king, and the Pope. If you ever lose them, it wonʼt be a simple matter.”

Nathan halted his step. ”I have a means to rescue her father. The only problem is whether I need to sell my soul to the devil or not.”

Sullivan didnʼt say anything further.

That was right. If Nathan really wanted it, he could always ask the Dragon King or even his teacher to help. No. Even if he didnʼt want to involve them, he could still ask the Sleeping Garden for help.

With Evelyn and the others, they could easily bring Selenaʼs father back. However, this was their problem. If possible, he wanted the team to overcome the challenge with their own strength.

Once they left, Selena couldnʼt help but grab Nathanʼs hand. ”Sorry. Because of my selfishness…”

”Itʼs fine. Weʼve decided to go from the start. I have several plans in case the journey is too much for us. However, I donʼt really plan to fail.” Nathan shook his head. ”Itʼs just… this challenge might be quite challenging.”

”Do you have any plans?” asked Selena. ”I can do anything you want.”

”Well…” Nathan paused for a moment. ”I might need to visit another place with Flora before this. And weʼve gotten a lot of cores in the past few days.”

”Cores? Well, yes. We havenʼt absorbed them, but the total amount of ena expected from all those cores is over 20,000 ena, right?”

”Yes. Thatʼs not enough.” Nathan looked down. Even if he took all those cores for himself, he would only have a total of 120,000 ena in his body, considering he has donated 10,000 ena to Nidhogg on the previous mission.

He still needs at least 30,000 ena to be safe or, if possible, he wants to have 200,000 ena before the challenge.

”Are you going to take everything? If needed, we can find a way to get more cores.”

Nathan thought for a moment. ”It might be selfish of me, but I think this is the only way. In addition to those cores, I will raise my ena to at least 150,000.”

Nathan remembered that Anubis mentioned that their quality would increase around 200,000 to 300,000 ena. Hence, he thought about getting his fifth familiar with 50,000 ena instead of 100,000 ena due to the circumstances. Although they were weaker than his original expectation, there was no difference in their quality, including their skills.

Then again, Nathan also wanted to give 8,000 ena to Anubis so that he could reach the next quality.

In addition, he needed a sacrificial item to summon his fifth familiar. And there was no one who could get it other than Floraʼs aunt, the one who had the highest navy authority in the kingdom.

Nathan said, ”Sorry, but I might have to be a bit selfish and get all the ena here. I will summon my fifth familiar to increase our chances.”

”Do it.” Selena nodded. ”I wonʼt summon my fifth familiar yet, so itʼs fine. Take everything.”

”Since we have one week to prepare, tell Sera and the others to focus on their preparation. Although he mentioned that we should expect 10 warrior class aliens, we should expect more. I wonʼt be with you during the preparation.” Nathan sighed.

”I know. Do whatever you need to do. If only I could do it, I would have done it personally.” She bit her lip.

”Ahaha.” Nathan chuckled. ”I have no doubt you can do it. I donʼt know what kind of mission it will be, but you might play a huge role in it. Thatʼs why you have to be prepared.”

”Yes.”

”In that case, letʼs go back.” Nathan smiled.

Selena nodded and followed him outside the fort. Layfon was busy and Sullivan didnʼt see them off. The soldiers looked so sad when Nathan left since they admired Nathan and Anubis, though.

Sullivan, on the other hand, looked at them through the window of his room. He muttered, ”I donʼt wish you to overestimate yourself. The alien territory is much more brutal than you can imagine. Still, you vampire brat… Your daughter has grown big enough to even think about saving you. I hope you can truly save him, Nathan.”
