Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 756: Leaving

Charlotte and Vivian exchanged looks.

”This is an absurd idea. However, if this is true, it will change the world.”

”Yes. The problem is that the only one who can see it is Nathan.” Vivian agreed. ”Hence, proving the theory is close to impossible. Even if the people accept him as someone with an innate talent, itʼs still impossible unless he evolves a familiar in front of a lot of people.”

”But by doing so…” Charlotteʼs expression darkened.

”Yes. A lot of people will immediately want Nathan to evolve their familiars. Most of them will take advantage of the situation to force Nathan to comply by using moral values. There are a lot of other tricks they can use or, even worse, they will kidnap him and make him their slave.” Vivian narrowed her eyes.

”Yes. And your Soul Contract is a double-edged sword. What if he is forced to make a contract that turns him into a slave of a person, deprived of his right? Or what if he makes a contract to transfer that innate talent to someone else? Even I donʼt dare to experiment with such a thing.” Charlotte shook her head.

”But those people will definitely do it.” Vivian bit her lip.

This was their main concern why they wanted to hide Nathanʼs innate talent as much as possible. Unlike Elysion Aquamoon, Nathanʼs Soul Contract was much more versatile. They could even see Selena and the others getting kidnapped just for that contract.

Even if Nathan could protect them from one organization, it would change if multiple organizations or even the entire world came at him at the same time. They could imagine several world class summoners besieging Nathan.

Naturally, Nathan understood the extent of his contract. That was why he never really rejected them when they told him to hide it as much as possible.

Nathan sighed. ”We can talk about it later. And itʼs not like that kind of research is urgently needed or will help us against the aliens.” Nathan waved his hand, telling them to drop the topic.

”Well… true.” Charlotte and Vivian nodded in agreement.

”By the way, Master. Since there are still some cores left…” Nathan tried to change the topic by showing what he truly wanted.

”…” Vivian smiled wryly. What some? Nathan only used 5,000 ena from her stash. There were still about 95,000 enaʼs worth of cores left. ”Are you going to use it to summon your next familiar?”

”Yes. I might need him to rescue Selenaʼs father.” Nathan nodded.

Vivian thought for a moment. ”Iʼm a bit skeptical about it since shoving all that ena to you makes you just full of ena but without good fighting prowess. I donʼt really want you to have such a weak foundation for that amount of ena…”

Nathan raised one finger. ”Actually, I have finalized the concept of my fighting style. I call it Gun Control System.”

”!!!” Vivian, like Fenrir and the others, understood the fundamental flaw of Nathanʼs fighting style. And Nathan stated it so that Vivian would know he had improved to a certain extent so that taking in some more ena wouldnʼt be a problem. It was just that he lacked the time to gather all that ena.

If Vivian gave this, Nathan would get a total of 115,000 ena, which should be enough to summon the fifth familiar with 100,000 ena while he retained over 100,000 ena personally, even after making Anubis reach the 50,000 ena mark.

”Hmm…” Vivian looked down, falling into deep thought. ”When are you going to leave?”

”The test itself is seven days away. However, Iʼm expecting to find the sacrificial item in three days.” Nathan explained.

Alisha stepped forth and supported Nathan. ”Mistress. I know that this is selfish of me, especially after evolving. As much as you want to give me the remaining cores to build up my ena, I believe the Young Master needs it more than me. Iʼd like to repay him for his kindness. Without him… I wouldnʼt be a high elf right now. Iʼll definitely work hard after this, earning my own share of cores.”

Vivian let out a long sigh before agreeing. ”Fine. You can get the rest. This is not much, but letʼs just say itʼs the evolution fee for Alishaʼs evolution.”

”Thank you.”

”Where are you going to find the sacrificial item?”

”Iʼm going to Floraʼs aunt, Duchess Lena Ivorial.”

”Oh.” Vivian walked to another room and returned with another item. It was a box.

”Whatʼs this?” Nathan tilted his head in confusion, inspecting the wooden box.

”Herbs that are good for the skin. She can use it when taking a bath. Donʼt you know that my product is of high quality?” Vivian harrumphed.

”Master. Why do I think youʼre able to do anything? Not only are you a strong summoner, but you are also a good researcher. In addition, you are even doing this?” Nathan scratched the back of his head.

”Whatʼs wrong? Thereʼs nothing wrong with it.” Vivian shrugged. ”Although the duchess is strict, she is someone delicate. And since youʼre going to visit a soon-to-be in-law, donʼt lose face.”

”Well, I was thinking about giving a personalized magic weapon.”

”Just use it to commission her people or something in case she doesnʼt help you to get the sacrificial item. Alishaʼs evolution might happen, but I can do at least this much for you, who have helped her. Just take it.”

”I understand.” Nathan nodded. ”In that case, I will take my leave.”

”Yeah. Since weʼre done here, I should get going. Melissa should be waiting for me by now.” Vivian agreed and immediately packed her luggage and recalled all three familiars.

”Yes. Please come back safely, Master.” Nathan waved his hand.

While Nathan walked back to the house to absorb the cores, Vivian rushed to the entrance of the city, finding Vivian already standing by the gate.

”Yo, youʼre late. Donʼt tell me. You cried so much that you needed all this time to calm yourself?” Melissa teased Vivian, recalling that Nathan probably visited her to say goodbye earlier.

”Itʼs been a while since we fought. I donʼt mind warming up now.” Vivian harrumphed.

”Do you think you can win against me? I have to remind you that our record is 121 wins, 300 draws, and 121 losses.” Melissa cracked her fingers.

Both of them looked at each other before chuckling as they both said the same thing. ”Youʼre lucky Iʼm not in the mood. I will take care of you later.”
