Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 776: Emergency Message

”Sir, sir! Thereʼs a message from the admiral!”

”!!!” A middle-aged man, who was about to return from work, suddenly stood up with a grim expression. It was unlike the duchess to send a message during a mission.

It only happened whenever the duchess encountered a difficulty, which was concerning since the duchess was an arcane level summoner. If she found the task difficult, it was clear that the problem was beyond their imagination.

”What did she say?” He asked. As the vice commander, he had the full rights of the army while the duchess was away. So, he had to know what was going on before doing anything reckless.

”She…” The messenger had trouble speaking, showing how big the problem was.

”Whatʼs wrong? Just say it!”

The messenger gulped down before he could finally say it. ”The duchess has found a ruin under the sea. This ruin is massive, approximately several stories tall, and has been buried underneath the sand. It has been turned into an alien nest.

”She is planning to enter the ruin to check whether they are made by humans or aliens.

”She hasnʼt entered the building yet, but according to her testament, a warrior class mutant or even an elite class alien might be governing that nest.”

”!!!” The vice commander widened his eyes in shock. If it were an elite class alien, it would be an all-out war. After all, thousands if not tens of thousands of aliens would come here alongside the elite class alien. This entire port would become the main battlefield, and they had to evacuate the people as well.

”This is not good…” The vice commander bit his lips. ”Hurry up and send this message directly to the royal family and ask for their reinforcement.”

”But sir… Itʼs only suspected. If itʼs proven to be false…” The messenger panicked, thinking they would be in trouble if they raised a false alarm.

”You idiot!” The vice commander shouted, ”Do you think the Duchess doesnʼt know that? She has an exceptional eye on the battlefield. She wonʼt alert us without full consideration.

”Even if thatʼs a false alarm, knowing there is a ruin that has become a nest alone requires the full attention of the kingdom.

”Go now or I will fire you!”

”Y-Yes!” The messenger hurriedly exited the room.

The vice commander clenched his fists. He turned to his secretary, who already had a pale face. He said, ”Call Faizar and Gale here right away!”

”Y-Yes!” The secretary rushed out and brought the two not long after.

”Sir Bertrand. Whatʼs going on?” Faizar asked.

Gale nodded. ”Is there something wrong? For you to call both of us here.”

The vice commander nodded. ”There is a huge problem. The duchess has discovered a ruin that has become an alien nest in their area of exploration.”

”!!!” Both of them were dumbfounded but understood the meaning of this information.

The vice commander ordered, ”Faizar. You will gather all our troops and have them on standby. The duchess is planning to check the ruin tomorrow, so I expect all soldiers to stand by near the dock tomorrow, as there is a potential retreat as well as invasion from the aliens. Expect a mature class mutant or an elite class alien as our opponent.

”Gale. You will be in charge of evacuating the citizens. Unlike other castles with strong walls, the only thing we have is the natural height, as weʼre above a cliff. But if this opponent is that terrifying, thereʼs a chance the city will be in danger.

”Weʼll focus on their attack near the dock. We canʼt afford to let them find the city on this cliff. We donʼt have a lot of time, but try not to make as much commotion as possible.”

Faizar and Galeʼs expressions turned solemn. They exchanged looks first before nodding to each other. ”Understood, sir.”

”Good. Go now!”

Faizar and Gale saluted before exiting the room.

The vice commander took a few deep breaths to calm down since he had to do a few more things with a calm mind.

…

On the other hand, the messenger sent to the royal family definitely made a huge ruckus.

Thanks to the teleportation circle, the messenger arrived at the royal castle in less than an hour, using the emergency crest issued by the duchess to bypass everything and bring the matter directly to the king.

The moment they heard the situation, they couldnʼt help but widen their eyes.

”What? A ruin that has become a nest?”

”Not identified whether theyʼre made by aliens or humans?”

”But can even humans build underwater?”

”If itʼs an alien ruin, it means they will act like a fort. Do you understand whatʼs going to happen after that?”

”Isnʼt that the reason the duchess wants to enter the ruin? She wants to confirm it.”

”Still, we canʼt just wait until sheʼs done. We have to send our reinforcement immediately.”

”But most of our force has already gone to the front line. We canʼt afford to send more people to the duchess.”

The ministers panicked, not expecting an attack from the sea. If they didnʼt touch this ruin, there was a higher chance that this ruin would become an even bigger disaster in the future. So, they had to take action.

The king, on the other hand, muttered, ʼFloraʼs aunt, huh? If Iʼm not wrong, Nathan is there right now…

ʼNow that I think about it, whether itʼs the unexpected tunnels to the front line or this ruin… why does it look like this boy is the clue to finding them all?

ʼAnd from the war ministerʼs account, it doesnʼt seem to be intentional. He definitely didnʼt know anything about them. Does that mean his luck is just that bad?

ʼBut I canʼt say itʼs bad luck. After all, we managed to discover all kinds of hidden dangers.ʼ The king fell silent. Nathan was like a double-edged sword.

Letting him go around the kingdom might expose hidden dangers they werenʼt aware of previously, but at the same time, they had to take care of it, which was already straining their resources at this point.

The king stood up. ”Since an elite class alien problem has been brought up, weʼll send a world class summoner to deal with it.

”Summon Duke Coline right away!”
