Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 780: Unexpected Disaster

They couldnʼt help but raise their eyebrows. They had never expected this. A sealing structure?

Then again, Lena didnʼt know Anubisʼ real status, so she couldnʼt help but wonder if she should take his words seriously.

Still, looking back at everything around this building, Lena could start connecting the dots.

ʼA sealing tower, huh? Is it truly made by humans? What are they sealing? The aliens that this wolf suspected previously? I still couldnʼt sense it. Why?

ʼSomething is weird. I want to disregard their opinions because I donʼt know if their knowledge is useful or not, but a part of my instinct is telling me theyʼre telling me the truth.

ʼIn fact, my senses are tingling. Itʼs telling me to exit this structure. However, have we gotten enough information from this building to draw that conclusion?ʼ

Lena couldnʼt help but squint her eyes, wondering what she should do.

After thinking for several seconds, Lena waved her hand, telling them to follow her. It appeared Lena still wanted to continue to see if they had the chance to discover other things that could reinforce Anubisʼ statement or not.

She was already considered crazy the moment she accepted Fenrirʼs warning, despite not knowing the extent of his knowledge and instinct.

That was why she had to get enough information before retreating this time.

Hence, Lena wished to continue the exploration. Unfortunately for them, there was no engraving on this floor.

They looked around, only finding twelve aliens inside. However, without them being active, they could inspect all the walls, floor, and even ceiling, only to find nothing special about them.

Hence, Lena led the team to the next floor, which expanded again by at least 70% of its previous size.

There were a total of 50 aliens this time, each of them was stronger than the aliens upstairs. In fact, some of them were proto-class mutants or even juvenile class aliens.

They were in the same suspended motion, so none of them were a threat. Like the previous floor, there was no engraving, so they couldnʼt draw any conclusion about this tower.

Anubis couldnʼt help but form a few more words with his bandages.

”I donʼt think itʼs worth it to continue. The deeper we are, the harder we can turn back. With my lacking sense, I can finally feel the great presence buried inside this place.

”For the time being, I think I can describe the building as being like this.”

Anubis changed the bandage to form a shape of a 2D drawing of this building.

Just like they previously suspected, the building expanded on every single floor.

Still, something was weird. After the fifth floor, Anubis didnʼt add the floor, as if telling them he couldnʼt sense underneath it. They first thought it was the bottom floor, but Anubis actually meant something else.

”This is what I have found for the time being. The reason thereʼs no floor on the fifth floor is because I canʼt sense other aliens.

”Normally, I can sense them on each floor, but the only thing I can sense is this faint yet strong presence on that floor instead of any other aliens.

”It could be that the fifth floor is made much bigger to contain this alien, but it doesnʼt leave the fact that some other aliens might still be there, but my senses canʼt reach them due to the height of that floor.

”If we consider the aliens protecting this space, thereʼs a chance that this building is actually a trap for the aliens.

”However, have you noticed that there arenʼt any aliens entering this building? All those aliens on the outside remain outside as if they are unable to enter this building.

”Itʼs most likely that this is a weapon against them. The purpose is that strong alien. I donʼt know about the details, but I have spoken everything I know.”

Anubis tried to persuade Lena to change her plan and immediately retreated before they were discovered.

However, there was one thing she was curious about. If this was indeed a seal for the aliens, who actually sealed them?

If that was the case, as long as they didnʼt disturb them, they should be able to explore this place peacefully, right?

After considering a few things, Lena decided to continue the exploration.

In the end, this would also give Selena more time to get the whale remains, so Nathan didnʼt care much.

Hence, when Lena asked them to continue, they only hesitated for a moment before continuing.

To their surprise, the third floor was different from anything they had seen so far.

On the first two floors, they would see a plain stone wall, but in this place, except for the fact that the structure itself was similar to the previous two floors, such as plain-looking and with several pillars to support the building, the wall actually had an engraving on it.

”!!!” All of them couldnʼt help but widen their eyes.

The engraving was actually placed on all walls and pillars.

In fact, on this floor, they could see several mutant class aliens. At this rate, they might actually find warrior class aliens hidden underneath the fourth floor.

Lena couldnʼt help but furrow her eyebrows, examining this engraving. She wasnʼt that knowledgeable in the area, so she couldnʼt help but turn to Nathan or Levy.

Levy looked so engrossed in the engraving as if she recognized it.

Hence, Lena patted Levyʼs shoulder to wake her up.

”!!!” Levy panicked and turned to Lena, finding her giving a gesture asking her whether she understood or recognized the engraving or not.

Levy nodded furiously.

After getting Levyʼs confirmation, Lena fell into deep thought. On the one hand, they could continue like this to find this great alien. On the other hand, the mission became more and more dangerous.

They didnʼt know if their existence here would trigger the awakening of these aliens. Besides, with Levyʼs confirmation, they could finally confirm that the building was indeed made by humans. As for who made it, they could still trace it from the engraving.

Unexpectedly, Fenrir suddenly shouted, not caring about making any noises anymore. ”Watch out!”
