Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 795: Killing an Elite Class Alien

”I guess thatʼs not enough to defeat an elite class alien.” Duke Coline smirked. He saw that the elite class alien was using its regeneration ability to the fullest, as the entire arm was gradually coming back with speed visible to the naked eye.

Duke Coline leaped into the air.

”Rising!” The humanoid familiar clapped his hands one more time, forming a small fire sphere in the air.

Duke Coline waved his wand down and created a massive magic circle above him. ”Grade 7 Support Magic, Golden Glass of the Flame God!”

The magic circle became translucent, as though it was a translucent red glass. Then, the humanoid familiar released a fire beam from the sphere. When it hit the magic circle, the glass shone and expanded that fire beam.

”!!!” The elite class alien raised the other hand to protect itself, but the fire melted the entire arm and even a portion of its body.

At this rate, it wouldnʼt take long before the elite class alien died.

Nathan was in utter shock. ”How the hell did someone like him die? The so-called strongest summoner told the kingdom that the Sword Saint, who was supposed to be equal to this guy, died because of an elite class alien, right? I couldnʼt believe it. Look at how easy it is for him to take down an elite class alien. Even with that monstrous regenerative ability, itʼs useless.”

”Well, there are several reasons I can think of right now.” Fenrir squinted his eyes. ”Iʼm sure you know two of those reasons.”

”The soldiers, huh? With the soldiers preventing other aliens from wreaking havoc, he can fully focus on the elite class alien. If those aliens attacked him, one or two of his familiars had to take care of them, meaning they wouldnʼt be there to protect him.

”Of course, it also means that the aliens will be able to land a hit on him.

”As for the second reason, is it because we have exhausted that elite class alien quite a bit?” Nathan asked. Considering the elite class alien had to go all the way here and that Duchess Lena had depleted its stamina quite a bit, the elite class alien couldnʼt fight at its peak state.

”Indeed. What about the third reason?”

Nathan thought for a moment. ”Iʼm not sure about this, but is it because of a defensive battle?”

”Indeed.” Fenrir nodded. ”First of all, humans are able to win a lot more battles in a defensive battle. For normal humans, itʼs because of the fortification, like the towering wall or ditches.

”For summoners, a defensive battle means other kinds of preparation. You are not the type of summoner who will do this, but for him, he can prepare things that can boost his power.

”That fire from the city… that is his preparation. Thanks to those flames, his ability is amplified, which allows him to have an easier time against this alien.

”However, if he fights outside this place with no preparation, the result will be vastly different.

”If the strongest summoner predicts the death of the Sword Saint, it must be because of those three reasons.

”There are no or not enough soldiers to handle the incoming aliens. Then he is quite depleted after dealing with several things. Last but not least, he doesnʼt have any preparation to boost his power to get that advantage.

”In fact, there might be multiple elite class aliens, which force him to split his focus. With the Sword Saint not having any familiar to help him, itʼs not weird if he is defeated.”

Nathanʼs expression turned grim. ”I see.”

”Once you grow stronger, your ability improves. You will definitely find a way to improve yourself even further. So, thereʼs no need for you to worry about it right now. Continue on your path. Even though I donʼt know if your path is correct or not, I know that itʼs a path that can bring you to the top.”

”Yeah. Thank you.” Nathan nodded.

Boom!

Another massive explosion hit the alien, creating a huge hole in the alienʼs stomach. It pierced through the half-sphere on its back along with several tentacles.

The alien was wailing in pain. It jumped from one side to another, trying to destroy the humans as much as possible.

However, Duke Colineʼs familiars immediately surrounded the alien, restricting its movement.

Duke Coline finally leaped toward the alien, controlling his ena to lift his body in the air.

The alien put its entire weight into a single punch, trying to kill Duke Coline.

Duke Coline formed a flame barrier with a wave of his hand, but the barrier shattered almost in an instant.

Bam!

A shadow crashed into several buildings before stopping near the cliff. However, when the dust settled, the alien realized that the one he struck earlier wasnʼt Duke Coline. Instead, it was the guardian familiar.

At the last moment, the familiar leaped in front of Duke Coline, taking the punch head-on. At the same time, he grabbed Duke Colineʼs hand and tossed him up.

The humanoid fire raised both hands, praying to the fire.

A fire circle with a diameter of 60 meters (197 feet) formed in the air with the elite class alien at the center.

The two fire spirits had positioned themselves behind the alien while the shaman stood in front of the alien.

The three of them formed a magic circle underneath their feet at the same time, and these three circles created a link toward each other, forming a triangle.

Meanwhile, Duke Coline, who was already above the elite class alien, formed the same magic circle, which ended up linking with the other three, ultimately turning into a translucent triangular pyramid.

”Itʼs time to end this,” Duke Coline muttered. ”Grade 8 Offensive Magic, Extreme Element, Aes Ultima.”

Each side of the pyramid created a magic circle that drew the fire from the ring and blasted it at full force inside the pyramid.

”Reeee!” The alien couldnʼt stop Duke Coline anymore because both hands and all tentacles had been destroyed. Due to the punch earlier, he couldnʼt use his feet fast enough to stop them.

As a result, the fire was amplified and started melting his entire body, leaving only the base of his feet that were outside the pyramid and the falling core.

An elite class alien was subjugated.
