Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 768: Plan

Nathan closed his eyes, feeling the breeze. Even though he had seen the beach from the screen of his phone or just enjoyed his time during the vacation, this was the first time he was on a boat.

The salty breeze was much more apparent. Fortunately, the sea was quiet today, so the boat moved quite smoothly with a lot of people rowing the boat. Once they reached quite far from the beach, they opened the sail, propelling the ship forward.

This time, he was accompanied by three companions. Anubis and Fenrir remained by his side. Although Fenrir was big, he had the sharpest senses, so with him around, no one should be able to ambush them.

The last familiar was actually Jinwu. He had sent Jinwu forward to scout the area to see if there was any big movement either from the sea or the creatures underneath it.

While waiting for the information, Selena suddenly approached him. ”Nathan.”

”Yeah?” Nathan turned around, finding Flora and Amphitrite next to her. ”Is there something wrong?”

”No. Itʼs just…” Selena pointed to Amphitrite. ”She wants to know what kind of item you want to find.”

”Oh? Iʼm trying to find a whale. Even if itʼs just its remains, I donʼt mind.” Nathan explained.

Selena turned to Amphitrite, wondering what she was planning to do with that information.

To their surprise, Amphitrite moved to the edge of the ship and waved his hand. Suddenly, a torrent of water rose into the ship, carrying a small fish inside.

Amphitrite whispered something into the fish before letting the stream continue back to the sea.

Amphitrite explained, ”Iʼve told the fish to search for such a thing. Iʼm going to ask a few other creatures to find it.”

”Thank you.” Nathan nodded. ”This will make the search easier.”

Amphitrite nodded back. ”Anyway, donʼt disturb me. Go somewhere else.”

”Yes.” Nathan agreed while Flora added, ”In that case, my aunt is calling for you. He told me to bring you once youʼre done with your matter.”

”Oh. Letʼs go then!”

The three of them entered the duchessʼ office, finding not only her but also several knights and summoners.

”Youʼve finally come.” Lena nodded. ”Just stand there.”

Lena immediately pointed at the map. ”Weʼll be heading to this place. This is the biggest area where most predators were killed by the aliens. In addition, itʼs also a place where the whales were last spotted.

”Hence, weʼre suspecting that weʼll find the whale in this place. Our plan is simple. Weʼll be heading straight to this place, eliminating everything in our way.

”Then the summoners will jump off here and continue onward. The pressure of this place shouldnʼt be too hard, considering itʼs only fifty meters deep. All the summoners here should have the power to at least withstand the pressure for at least six hours with their strength.

”Defeat all the aliens in our way. But before that, I will leave the knights to deal with the rest of the aliens unless something big is coming up. If thatʼs the case, her highness Flora will take care of it.

”If we canʼt find anything, weʼll return the next day after recovering our ena. Even if we donʼt find anything, weʼre going to return to the port. Whether this mission is a success or a failure, the reward will be given.

”Anything else youʼd like to add?” She asked.

They shook their heads. Only Nathan raised his hand. People thought Nathan wanted to change the reward in case they failed, but it turned out Nathan had a problem with the plan.

”I donʼt think itʼs a big deal, but because of our lack of experience, Selena and I will be in the back and focus on supporting all of you. Once we are accustomed to the environment, weʼll move forward accordingly.

”In addition, according to this strategy, we have a low chance of finding the whale. Thatʼs because of one thing. The ship is stopping outside the area. It will take a long time to just enter the area.

”How about having the ship enter this area before we jump in?”

Lena shook her head. ”There are two problems. First of all, the ship will be attacked directly. Although the ship has been enhanced with a magic circle, they still have the chance to destroy this ship.

”The second problem is that during our descent, the aliens might attack us, so itʼs better to avoid the alien-prone area during the descent.

”After all, going down is not as easy as it looks.”

Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought. ”What if we use the familiars to create an underwater torrent to push us to the bottom? Although itʼs true that the torrent will be draining our ena, I think it will be much more cost-effective if we use it rather than traveling a longer distance to reach the same place.

”Regarding the ship, because of her highness Flora, the ship can turn back to the safe zone after dropping us. Once weʼre done, I still have a dragon that can fly in the sky and bring us back to the ship as long as we can reach the surface.”

Lena thought carefully this time. She glanced to the sides. ”What does everyone think about this plan?”

”I think itʼs reasonable. Unlike the normal situation, we still have a summoner on board, which will provide a certain level of protection. Besides, during the descent, we can still kill some of them,” one summoner agreed.

The others didnʼt have a good reason to reject the idea either. ”Yes. The situation is different, so I think itʼs fine if we do it that way.”

Lena closed her eyes, carefully considering the option. After several minutes, she declared, ”In that case, weʼll use that plan. If not because of the time constraint, I donʼt really want to choose the high-risk plan, but it canʼt be helped this time.

”We should arrive at our destination in thirty minutes. Get some rest and prepare for the battle. Thatʼs all. Dismissed.”
