Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 748: Homunculus

”Please donʼt lower yourself like that.” The woman panicked. ”Weʼre already thankful for you giving us the opportunity to go further. Itʼs rare for the summoners to think about the future path of the warriors.”

”Ahahaha. I understand. Thank you.” Nathan smiled wryly. ”Is there anything else youʼd like to add?”

They exchanged looks before shaking their heads.

”It appears they donʼt have any other opinions, Great Master.”

”All right.” Nathan nodded. ”Anyway, I donʼt mind if you drop the honorifics. I mean, Iʼm just a student. Too young for such a title.”

”No can do. I apologize, Great Master. However, you have to know your own worth. The people here know that your age doesnʼt matter. The only thing that matters is your achievement and abilities.

”If you are stronger than us, youʼre worthy of respect. Your achievement has completely transformed our lives. Hence, we respect you from the bottom of our hearts.

”Besides, Great Master is very humble to be even willing to share your opinion with us. Weʼre the ones feeling honored right now, so please donʼt ask us to drop our respect.”

”If you say it that way, I guess I canʼt really ask that.” Nathan sighed. ”I have seen what you can do with magic weapons. For now, I will continue observing from here to see if thereʼs anything else I can improve.

”Also, if possible, I would like to watch a group of two during the battle against aliens. It will be important for future improvement. Do you think itʼs alright to do it?” Nathan asked.

”Yes. In that case, please watch my group.” Daz nodded.

”Sure. If the battle starts again, I will do just that.” Nathan agreed. ”If you donʼt have anything else to add, you can return to your daily training.”

Daz confirmed once more that no one wanted to add anything before leading the group back to their training.

To Nathanʼs surprise, the moment they were gone, Selena tugged on Nathanʼs sleeve.

”Whatʼs wrong?” Nathan asked. Selena had been quiet this whole time, so he wondered if she had suggestions.

”Do you think thereʼs anything that can boost their speed?” Selena asked. The stronger the opponent, the quicker they are. Armor alone wonʼt fix that issue.”

”I know, right?” Nathan sighed. ”Well, that canʼt be resolved by magic weapons. Instead, Iʼm thinking of another solution.”

”Another solution?”

”Yes. It can not only improve their speed but also their strength.” Nathan smirked. ”What about using this ena battery to activate a spell instead?”

”Ah!” Selena gasped. ”But thereʼs one problem. Normal humans canʼt control ena like us summoners. Even if you give them the equipment, they wonʼt be able to activate it.”

”That depends on who makes it.” Nathan grinned. ”Donʼt we already have the finest expert in that field?”

”Finest expert?” Selena tilted her head in confusion before remembering one professor who was actually doing the same kind of research. ”Donʼt tell me. Professor Melissa?”

”Correct. What if we ask her to create a magic circle that can fulfill all that requirement as a means to power up their physical abilities?”

”That might be possible.”

”Yes. How about making Melissaʼs shop a Magic Tool Shop? This will be the start of replacing things with magical tools. Even normal equipment can be turned into a magical tool.”

”That might be possible. The process will be gradual, but if it continues to improve, the whole world will benefit from it.” Selena nodded.

”Yeah.”

Sylvia couldnʼt help but listen to their conversation, only to find how shocking it was for Nathan to think about the common people.

Despite all his achievements, he wasnʼt arrogant and still continued to think about them. Although Nathan didnʼt know about it, Sylvia was planning to spread the rumor so that Nathanʼs kindness would be known.

Nathan, on the other hand, noticed something. ”Now that weʼre talking about armor, how about having your avatar wear armor as well?”

”Thatʼs what Iʼve been thinking as well. However, recently, Iʼve been trying to come up with another thing.” Selena squinted her eyes.

”Another thing? What is it?”

”Iʼm thinking about making my next familiar my lifebound familiar and gaining the blood element.

”On the other hand, it looks like my power is much more suitable to remain neutral or without an element. However, I still believe that I should take advantage of the blood element.

”Itʼs not just about my family being a vampire family for generations. If I have to say my reason, Iʼm wondering if I can actually envelop my avatar with blood.

”Through my control, Iʼm thinking about turning my avatar to be close to that of a real giant. It will have the humanoid body and cover it with my blood element like a normal living being before creating muscle and other things.

”Eventually, my avatar will reach the level of a homunculus.”

”!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. That was right. He didnʼt consider this.

He originally thought about the avatar because he wanted to copy a certain ability. However, Selena thought much further ahead.

If she managed to create a homunculus with her own ability alone instead of research, there would definitely be a lot of applications.

If she dressed her homunculus similar to herself, she could fake her death or even confuse the enemy. With the correct combination or plan, this kind of homunculus would be overpowered.

And in this world, she would be the only one to have the ability to create it. In other words, it would be her unique ability.

He was once again reminded of how talented Selena was.

”That might be possible. Besides, who knows what kind of improvement you can make in the future? Because itʼs fully under the control of your ena, it wonʼt have rationality.

”So thereʼs nothing I should say regarding your intention other than good luck. I know you can do it.”

Selena smiled. ”Thank you.”

”Still, does no one in your family have the ability to do the same thing? Well, I wasnʼt that interested in your family before this, but maybe I should learn a bit more about your family? For example, where did the prejudice against female summoners come from?”
