Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 712: Potential Familiars

After hearing Jinwu, Nathan couldnʼt answer that question right away. On the one hand, he agreed that, unlike the others, his divine beasts were much stronger and more independent. If there were a lot of them, they could hunt aliens and gather the cores.

On the other hand, if he agreed to summon more beasts, he would require a lot of time to absorb the cores and distribute them to others.

Jinwu didnʼt stop. ”Summoner. Iʼd like to ask you something. Why do you choose time as your element? You can probably get a better result in a fight with a space element, so why time?”

Nathan looked down. While time might not look like the strongest, and in fact, strong enough gravity could also dilute time, he knew precisely the power of time.

Acceleration, deceleration, or even time stops might not be that significant. The main reason he went for the time element was the domain.

What if he had a domain that could alter the time flow? What if the dream was true and he might have to reset this world so that he could defeat those aliens?

In the end, time provided strength, stability, and assurance.

Or was it? Or did he think time was the correct choice because of that dream?

Nathan looked down, not knowing the answer to this question.

Jinwu continued, ”If you have an army of divine beasts, you will be able to dominate the battlefield. In fact, thereʼs no need to have an army. As long as you have more divine beasts, it will be enough.

”With more divine beasts around you, it will be much safer as well. Unlike others, we are able to act independently.”

Nathan waved his hand, finally stopping him. ”I canʼt answer that question right now. However, I will consider your opinion carefully, Jinwu.

”Suppose I accept your suggestion. I can probably pick around a few hundred thousand ena as that important point. When are you going to increase your quality and get more skills? It should be around that, right?”

Jinwu nodded. ”Iʼm not sure of the exact number, but it should be around two hundred to three hundred thousand ena.”

”There you have it. If weʼre going to have more divine beasts, we will have to provide them with all the ena. And you guys will probably fight for the resources as well.

”Hence, I have to consider it properly, like how many do I want and so on. Thatʼs the main problem after all.” Nathan explained.

”The ena, huh? Not the divine beasts? Do you know what kind of divine beasts you would like to summon?” Jinwu asked.

”You probably donʼt know this since youʼre the last one getting summoned, but he has a lot of names.” Anubis nodded.

”Well, there are a lot of interesting divine beasts out there. For example, if I want to have a dragon, I can probably ask for the likes of Fafnir, Tiamat, or Shenlong. Should I call the Flood Dragon as well? If itʼs about the flood, I should call Yamata no Orochi instead.

”Well, I can even consider the four heavenly beasts: the Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise, or White Tiger.

”If I want a dog, I can even call Cerberus. Maybe I should call Fenrirʼs brothers? Like Jormungandr or Sleipnir? If weʼre talking about horses, Pegasus is also a thing. Or if itʼs a serpent, I can think of a few names, such as Quetzalcoatl and Apep.

”Still, we probably have to fix my luck with auspicious beasts like Qilin. Or maybe a bird like you. Maybe a Phoenix or Sun God Ra?

”Or maybe something to cross the sea like Leviathan?” Nathan shrugged. ”Well, I can think of a lot of names. If I have to summon a lot of divine beasts, I might have to go on a journey by myself to gather the materials.

”Thatʼs why I understand your point of view, but I will need time to make the decision about this,” Nathan explained.

”…” Jinwu looked down before nodding his head. ”If you consider my opinion, then thereʼs nothing much I can say.”

”But donʼt you think you should help the others as well? According to the third person, she lost because she didnʼt have enough familiars, right?”

”Agreed.” Fenrir nodded.

”I will think about it. Maybe I should give some suggestions to Selena after she summons Lilith. Besides, she will probably focus on vampires from this point on, considering she told me she would like blood to be her element.

”Maybe I should suggest things that take advantage of blood? Letʼs see, Jiangshi like Yin Zhen? Not just a normal Jiangshi, but the strongest Jiangshi. Maybe Yin Zhen knows something about it? Like… is there a Jiangshi at the level of a Heavenly Demon?

”Or in that kind of story, there is usually a Blood Cult who is terrorizing the central plain. Theyʼre often depicted as maniacs, but their strength is a real deal. Well, after listening to the story about the Asura Palace that once stood tall on this land, it felt similar to the Blood Cult. Or might as well summon another vampire like Cain since her father has the Dracula. I donʼt know if itʼs possible or not due to gender.” Nathan chuckled.

”As for Sera, she is going for something dark. Should I tell her to aim for something related to death? Maybe like the White and Black Impermanence? No, maybe something like Meng Po?

”Well, depending on her growth, I might even go all the way to suggest that primordial deity, Nyx.”

”There are indeed so many strong people out there. I want to fight them.” Fenrir grinned.

Nathan chuckled. ”If you want to fight, you will probably enjoy fighting what Iʼm thinking about suggesting to Alavenya.”

”Alavenya? Are you going to make her that idol of yours? The one who is said to inspire you to break free from your father? What was his name again? Sun Wukong?” Fenrir asked. He recalled how enthusiastically Nathan talked whenever Sun Wukong became a topic in the past.

Nathan shook his head. ”Hmm. That might not be a bad idea. But Iʼm thinking about telling her about Shiva, the God of Destruction.”
