Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 729: Selenaʼs Decision

”I will try to prepare them as quickly as possible. Theyʼre kind of interesting. I have never expected such a weapon to have all these varieties.” Elder Thompson smirked.

”Yeah.” Nathan nodded. The reason he wanted to create other guns was actually Anubis. He couldnʼt help but wonder what would happen if all five guardians under Anubis grabbed a machine gun.

No, there was even a more terrifying power called Elysion Aquamoon. What if he brought his numerous undead and attacked the cities with those guns? Someone like him shouldnʼt really mind spending a lot. In exchange, the firepower would be extreme.

It reminded him of the dream. He wondered if they had enough people and resources, could they mow them down with guns?

That was why Nathan wanted to prepare everything for the incoming onslaught.

”Thatʼs right. If you do this, I will—” While Nathan was explaining his gun, Flora and Sera suddenly interrupted them.

”Nathan.”

Nathan turned around, looking at their solemn expressions. It took him a second to realize something was wrong.

…

Half an hour later.

The group had gathered as Serafina explained what she got from the Pope, especially regarding the Bloodstone.

After listening to her, the mood became heavy. Everyone couldnʼt help but glance at Selena.

Only Nathan was calm enough to respond. ”I see. So, itʼs because of the Bloodstone, huh?”

Serafina looked at Nathan for a moment before glancing at Selena as well.

However, Nathan simply smiled. ”That makes it simple, no? If we get the location from Duke Sullivan, we will be able to find her father.

”All that is left is to get stronger and save him.” Nathan looked calm through the entire thing.

But everyone was worried that Selena would be going there by herself instead of waiting. That was why they couldnʼt say a word yet. In fact, Flora was wondering what she should do to stop Selena from going by herself.

The desperation might influence her decision-making ability.

However, Nathan simply pointed at Selena and said, ”Selena. Look at them. Theyʼre worried about you. In that case, it is simple. I will give you the full authority to lead the team. What do you want us to do?”

”!!!” Sera and the others widened their eyes. They couldnʼt help but glare at Nathan, telling him to shut up.

Among them, Nathan knew Selena the most. As he expected, Selena took a deep breath. Her voice was shaking, but there was a trace of calmness.

”I see. So, my father was searching for a way for me to break the curse of the family.” Selena took a deep breath. ”Are you sure about giving me this authority, Nathan?”

”Yep.”

Selena nodded. ”In that case…”

”!!!” The others panicked, thinking Selena would become reckless. To their surprise, Selena raised three fingers. ”In that case, I will go with Nathan to the front line and ask Duke Sullivan about the information.

”Second of all, once we know this information, we will be making preparations to save my father.

”Last but not least, I will give back the authority to Nathan.” Selena stood up and lowered her head. ”I know that this is to save my father.

”Therefore, I wonʼt force you guys to help me. Instead, I request you to help me save my father.

”If thereʼs anything you want me to do, Iʼll do it. As long as you donʼt ask me to stay at home, I will do it. Even if you want me to wait until I become a grandmaster, I will do it.

”I know this is a mission where I alone wonʼt be able to succeed. Iʼll be too ashamed if I die in the process. Thatʼs why… Please help me.”

”!!!” Sera and the others were once again shocked by Selenaʼs reaction.

She was actually lowering her head and remained calm this whole time. She was more rational than they originally thought.

Nathan just smiled. Selena had cast away her feelings and built up everything by herself. It took so much patience to be able to wait that long.

Selena was definitely eager to save him, but if she were reckless, she wouldnʼt have been able to survive this far.

That was why she gave back the authority after setting up their target. In fact, she gave them the authority to set up the requirement themselves.

Nathan knew this would be her reaction if he gave her the authority.

Sera and the others exchanged looks.

Sera stood up and said, ”I will help you. Iʼll definitely help you. As long as you donʼt recklessly find your father, Iʼll cooperate.”

”Hehehe. Saving a father-in-law, heh?” Flora grinned. ”I wonder what his reaction will be after finding out his dear daughter has her heart stolen by a guy who is going to marry me as well. I will see it. And to do that, we all need to be alive.”

Alavenya nodded. ”Well, I have gotten stronger. This is a challenge. Iʼll help out on this mission to grow even stronger. Besides, you are my second target, Selena. Iʼm going to defeat you, so I canʼt afford to have you die in an unknown place.”

Noelle crossed her arms. ”Of course, Iʼll also help out. I canʼt just let the princess go somewhere dangerous without my knowledge.”

Nathanʼs hand suddenly patted her head. ”There you have it. Weʼre willing to cooperate. If your father can survive for all this year, it means he can survive another one or two years. It wonʼt take long. In fact, as long as itʼs possible, weʼll be saving your father before we deal with the Divine Hand.

”In exchange, we will need your cooperation as well. If you make us worried about you, saving your father might be impossible.

”Instead of thinking about how to save your father, what you should think right now is to get stronger and have the strength to save your father. Donʼt worry. I will accompany you, even if it means going to the end of this world.”

Selena couldnʼt contain her smile before nodding her head furiously. ”Yes. Thank you for the help, everyone.”
