I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 774 - 774 Competing With Lin Yi?

774 Competing With Lin Yi?

“No problem. I’m more than happy to help.”

Lin Yi went to Liang Ruoxu’s kitchen and prepared all the ingredients he needed.

Liang Ruoxu sat on the chair at the dining table, quietly watching Lin Yi work in the kitchen.

If she had met him earlier, the person living with him would have been her, right?

!!
At the thought of this, Liang Ruoxu’s face turned slightly red, and her heart raced.

Why did she suddenly think of these things?

Ten minutes later, Lin Yi brought over a steaming plate of egg-fried rice.

“Why is there only one plate? Aren’t you going to eat?”

“I ate at home this morning.”

“Oh, oh…” Liang Ruoxu nodded. Just as she was about to take her first bite, she suddenly stopped. “Did she make it?”

“What’s the fuss?”

“First, tell me who made your food.”

“She got up to make it,” Lin Yi said honestly.

“Oh…”

Liang Ruoxu quietly ate her meal and muttered to herself,

“Actually, I cook quite well.”

“What are you mumbling about?”

“I didn’t say anything,” Liang Ruoxu explained in a panic. Then, she took a few bites to hide her guilt.

After eating, Liang Ruoxu washed up and went out with Lin Yi. They went their own ways from there.

After leaving Liang Ruoxu’s house, Lin Yi returned to Jiuzhou Pavilion to prepare for the subsequent work.

Two days later, Lin Yi received a call from Liang Ruoxu. All the procedures had been settled.

The call notified Lin Yi that if he wanted to do anything, he could start now.

After talking to Liang Ruoxu, Lin Yi brought the people he had prepared beforehand to the industrial park.

There were more than thirty crew members and more than ten excavators and lorries. It was a grand sight.

“President Lin, what are we going to do?”

The person who spoke was a middle-aged man in his fifties. His temples were gray and he looked very kind.

The man’s name was Sun Baoguo, and he was an engineer from Chaoyang Group. More than 80% of the buildings in Chaoyang Group were built by him.

“Engineer Sun, get someone to dig up Feihong Road, Innovation Road, and Flying Road, but you don’t have to dig too deep. Just make it impassable for cars.”

“You want to dig up all three roads?”

“Right.”

Sun Baoguo looked around. “If we dig them up together, these factories in the East District won’t be able to operate.”

“Yes, that’s the effect I want.”

“If that’s the case, it will definitely cause a dispute. These factories will definitely sue us.”

“Let them sue all they want. I’ll take care of it. Just do as I say.”

“Then should we start digging?” Sun Baoguo probed.

“That’s right. Don’t worry and do it boldly. If anyone looks for you, just say my name.”

“Got it, President Lin.”

After arranging the details, Lin Yi drove away.

All that was left was to wait for them to call him.

As expected, before Lin Yi could even reach Jiuzhou Pavilion, he received a call from New Asia Technologies.

The person who called was their boss, Wang Yaxin.

Lin Yi had called him yesterday.

“President Lin, are you busy?”

“I had nothing to do, so I went overseas to relax,” Lin Yi said with a smile.

“President Lin, you’re really good at joking. My people saw you coming to the park just now. Why did you leave the country the moment you turned around?”

“That was just now. This is now. What is there to discuss?”

“Mr. Lin is right,” Wang Yaxin said.

“If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up first. You’re on vacation too, so I don’t want to affect your mood.”

“No, no, no. Don’t hang up, President Lin,” Wang Yaxin said.

“I heard from the people below me that you dug up the road around the industrial park. What’s going on?”

“Don’t mention it. The company’s profits aren’t good, so I took on some extra work. I’m going to renovate the roads near the industrial park and turn the cement roads into asphalt roads before beautifying them. After all, this industrial park is an extension of Zhonghai’s image. It can’t be too shabby.”

“Aiyo, President Lin, you’re really good at joking. You have a big business, yet you do construction projects?”

“Sigh, I used to be a hot-blooded young man with ambitions that flew in all directions, but my edges have been smoothed by life. I have no choice but to do this to maintain my livelihood.”

“But if you dig up the road, there’ll be no way to get the vans in and out of our factory.”

“I had no choice. I called you yesterday to discuss this matter and wanted to leave a path for you. However, all of you were busy and couldn’t find the time. Thus, I could only make the decision myself.”

“You can make the decision, but you can’t delay our business. The materials outside can’t get in, and the goods produced inside can’t be sent out. What you’re digging isn’t just a road, but a way to cut off our income.”

“President Wang, that’s a serious accusation,” Lin Yi said.

“I thought that you guys were resourceful and could find your own way out, so I didn’t think too much about it. As for the road, I won’t be able to do anything about it now. You guys can just wait until then to sell your goods .”

“We can’t wait at all. The distributors downstream are still waiting for our goods.”

“That’s none of my business. I’ll do my job and you guys will do yours. Neither of us will get in the way of the other. Besides, I wanted to discuss it with you guys beforehand, but you guys didn’t have any thoughts about this. You can’t blame me for that.”

“President Lin, you’re bullying us,” Wang Yaxin said.

“Let’s arrange a time to meet. What do you think? Didn’t you say yesterday that you wanted to treat me to a meal? Why don’t we meet today?”

“Aren’t you on a business trip overseas and won’t be able to come back for two to three months? There’s no need to come back over such a small matter. Isn’t it just regarding some goods? Boss Wang, you’re rich and overbearing. This is nothing.”

Lin Yi’s words infuriated Wang Yaxin.

“If that’s the case, I’ll call the police.”

“Then call the police. You’re always welcome.”

With that, Lin Yi hung up, not giving Wang Yaxin a chance to speak.

Not long after, Lin Yi’s phone rang again. It was Sun Yongming from Huike Electronics.

“Director Sun, you were looking for me.”

In comparison, Sun Yongming’s attitude was much more direct. He didn’t say so many polite words.

“President Lin, why did you ask someone to dig up the road? Our cars can’t even move anymore.”

“It’s a municipal project. They say they’re going to renovate the road so I dug it up first. Is there a problem with that?”

“It’s not a problem for you to renovate the road, but you dug up all the roads required to enter the area. You didn’t leave any way in or out for us. How will our trucks travel now?”

“Actually, I wanted to discuss this with you yesterday, but Boss Sun didn’t have the time, so I made the decision on my own. Therefore, I can only apologize. You guys can wait for a while longer and deliver the goods after the renovation project is completed.”
