Chapter 600 - 600 Two Generals

600 Two Generals

“PhD from Tsinghua University…”

Ding ding ding dang dang…

Lu Ying’s educational background scared Li Chang so much that she dropped the spoon in her hand.

Did she need to have a PhD from a top 2 school to come here?

!!
“Sister, what is your educational background?” Li Chang looked at He Yuanyuan and asked tentatively.

“Yan University, International Economics and Trade, PhD.”

The atmosphere in the room seemed to become even more solemn.

“Sister, what about you?” Li Chang asked Tian Yan.

“Fudan, Marketing, PhD.”

“Um…”

Li Chang felt terrible.

Are you really here to apply for a waitress job?

Why did they all start at the PhD level?!

What kind of monsters were these?!

Sun Jia, who had been on guard, also felt her head buzzing.

‘You people would be professors in our university. Why are you applying to be waiters?’

“Little brother, little sister, are you also PhD students?” Li Chang probed.

“Yan University, International Economics and Trade, Ph.D.” Ji Qingyan said.

“Cough, cough, cough…”

Sun Fuyu cleared her throat. “I’m not that talented. I’m a postdoctoral student at the University of Penntania, specializing in Computer Vision.”

Lin Yi nodded in satisfaction. Sun Fuyu’s act was very well-rounded.

Although this woman was the weakest person in the room, she was also the showiest.

In front of him was Wang Tianlong, and behind him was Sun Fuyu. These were his powerful subordinates.

With the two generals here, why would he worry about the unease of the world?

Seeing the room full of big shots, Sun Jia and the others felt like they were invisible.

What was she doing? Even if she was bullying someone, he shouldn’t be like this.

He actually had a room full of PhD students and a postdoctoral student. Did they even have the right to be here?

“Actually, I want you guys to work here too, but the system won’t allow it. Sorry, sorry,” Lin Yi said. He guessed that they would give up now.

“I think we shouldn’t let our imaginations run wild. Let’s go back to study after dinner. We can apply for the job after getting a PhD,” Li Chang said.

“Uh-uh.”

Lin Yi, “…”

Everyone was speechless.

After eating in fear, the four of them paid and left.

Lin Yi looked at the mission progress. It was already (15/20). Perhaps he could really complete the mission today.

After the four left, Lin Yi made some food for Ji Qingyan and the others.

They ate happily. No one expected Lin Yi to cook so well.

After the meal, the few of them did not stay there for long because they had other things to do, so they left one after another.

However, Ji Qingyan and He Yuanyuan were the last to leave. They helped Lin Yi out for a while before leaving.

“Senior, didn’t you say before that you wouldn’t take the initiative to participate in the corporation’s matters? Why did you suddenly speak today?” After leaving, He Yuanyuan asked.

“I think that even if Longxin and Didi’s smart travel project succeeds, a lot of manpower and material resources will have to be invested in it. In any case, Tian agreed because of your identity as the lady boss. He didn’t dare to refute you.”

These words had been bottled up in He Yuanyuan’s stomach for a long time. Now, she finally had a chance to say it.

“Lin Yi spoils you too much,” Ji Qingyan said.

“How is he spoiling me? Every day, he says that I have small breasts and a flat butt. He basically humiliates me to death.”

“Then you should be content. If this were any other company, you would definitely be marginalized if you dared to say such words.”

“I’m speaking from the bottom of my heart. I’m also acting in the interests of the company. Why would you marginalize me? I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Because you don’t know how to read your leader’s intentions and often go against them.”

“I know he wants to make a phone system. I didn’t reject it. I just feel that it’s not appropriate at this time.”

“You’re oversimplifying it. Lin Yi doesn’t lack money at all. Moreover, his goal from the beginning to the end was never to earn money to become the richest man in Huaxia. You and Tian Yan didn’t see this, so you couldn’t figure out his intentions.”

He Yuanyuan was stunned by Ji Qingyan’s words. She did not quite understand what she meant.

“Lin Yi wants to make a phone system, but he doesn’t have any intention of breaking into the phone market. This is simply a seed he’s planting now which he’ll use in the future. Although I haven’t figured out what he’ll use it for, I’m sure it’s not for his own benefit.”

“So you’re saying that even if you didn’t say anything back then, he would still support Director Sun’s idea?”

“That’s right. Longxin is a foundational piece, so the phone system must be made. However, I don’t think he would have rejected you so straightforwardly either.”

“Think about it carefully. Every time he insults you, it’s when there are no outsiders around. There were many outsiders in the meeting just now. He would definitely have thought of a way to not embarrass you and wouldn’t have been so direct. No matter what, he would have pursued the phone system project. Therefore, from the beginning, you and Tian Yan insisted on the wrong direction and didn’t understand his intentions.”

“He’s thinking about something new every day. Why is his brain working differently from a normal person’s?”

“That’s the difference between you guys. He’s an undergraduate from Zhonghai Institute of Technology and has become the boss of Lingyun Group. All of you have PhDs from famous schools but have become his subordinates, so we can’t even hold a candle to his strategic thinking.”

“In that case, I feel much better.”

“Focus on your work and don’t think about all that nonsense.”

“He separated Tian Yan as soon as Lingyun Group integrated Didi. However, you and Brother Qi have been asked to stay in the Lingyun Group all this time. This explains a lot. Otherwise, you would have been sent there to be the head of the company. Why would he have made you stay in the company?”

“Senior Sister, you can really see everything.” He Yuanyuan said.

“I’m guessing I’ll have to work for the rest of my life to achieve this.”

“Alright, let’s get back to work,” said Ji Qingyan. “Call me if you need anything.”

“Uh-huh.”

After a simple chat, the two of them got into their cars and drove to their respective companies.

After everyone left, the store quieted down.

Lin Yi sat at the bar and placed his feet on the chair.

He felt that he had more work to do.

In addition to the program to develop Chip 3.0, the mobile application for the new operating system was also a problem.

There were two solutions.

The first was to use Android’s underlying structure, remove its skin, and replace it with a Longxin remake.

This way, the problem with applications could be solved effortlessly.

Furthermore, he would face the risk of his operating system not being up to par.

If they were to grow and take over Apple and Android’s market share in the future, the latter would not just stand by and watch.

This was also in line with their usual tactic of attacking Huaxian companies.

To give a simple example.

When it came to the Windows operating system, pirated software was plentiful. The pirated software would even provide timely resource updates like the real thing.

On the other hand, Microsoft’s attacks on these pirates had always been loud but small in scale. In the end, they did not even make a fart.

It was not that they did not value market profits, but through this method, they could perfectly attack the domestic software manufacturing industry.

With a cheap and useful system, who would bother using a locally developed system?

For this reason, domestic software manufacturers had no chance of gaining a foothold in the market. Without a market share, they would have no hope of making any profits. In the end, they would all die.

This was also the fundamental reason why domestically-produced software could never develop.

Without money, it was all for naught.

If Huaxia ever developed a new computer system, powerful blows would come one after another, and it would be unbearable for the local company.

This was the exact problem he was facing now.

There was a natural drawback to using a new pot to store old wine. When the time came, he would die an ugly death.

Therefore, there was only one way to proceed. He had to develop a new mobile phone ecosystem.

New applications would then be developed independently.

However, this was not something that could be done with money. He still had to ask Liang Ruoxu for help after this.

Director Shen’s trump card would probably have to be used too.

‘Sigh, this path is a little difficult!’

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Just as Lin Yi was thinking about his future plans, he heard a knock on the door.

Why would someone knock on the door for a meal?

Wasn’t that a little too polite?

Lin Yi stood up from the bench at the bar and saw two people with bags walking in.

The man and woman who came in looked to be in their thirties. They were smiling and didn’t look like they were here to eat.

“You are?” Lin Yi asked.

“Hello, sir. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Li Lei, and this is my colleague, Wang Wei.”

The two of them were very polite and handed over their business cards.

Lin Yi took a look at the business card and saw their positions.

Shenhai Tengfei Distribution Company.

“A salesman?”

“Yes, yes, yes. Our company is mainly in the wholesale business of drinks and drinks. Moreover, we have all kinds of goods with low prices.” Li Lei said.

“In addition, our company also has a stake in a wholesale market. We can provide commonly used ingredients as well as fresh meat, with the quality being guaranteed.”

“You came at the right time,” Lin Yi said, “I wanted to buy some goods.”

The two of them looked at each other and were overjoyed. “Then let’s sit down and talk. I don’t dare to say anything else, but in terms of quality, if there are any quality issues with the goods provided to you, we will return them unconditionally.”

“This is a small matter, but our restaurant has higher requirements when it comes to ingredients. I’m just wondering if you supply these items.”

“Boss, don’t worry. The market we’re investing in is considered one of the most high-end markets in the city. Be it high-end ingredients or ordinary oil, salt, sauce, or vinegar tea, we supply it all. We’ve been supplying many shops on Zhengyang Street for many years.”

“Are there wild sea cucumbers?”

“Ah? Wild sea cucumbers?”

“Yes. I want to stock up on it.”

“I-I don’t think so.”

“Do you have black gold abalone?”

“Brother, this is a top-grade abalone. We don’t have it. Do you want to buy frozen abalone for five yuan each instead?”

“Of course not,” Lin Yi said, “Do you have imported tuna?”

“I don’t think so…”

“Why don’t you have anything?” Lin Yi said, “Do you have Latour Castle and Romanee Conti?”

“This, this is the world’s top red wine. Even if we have it, no one can afford it!”

“Brother, the shop is for university students. Their spending standards are not high. You don’t need these things, right?”

“Our restaurant is a little special. It’s a small but high-end restaurant, so we need high-end ingredients.”

“Brother, there’s no point in chatting like this.” Li Lei said.

“The things you want to buy can’t be bought in ordinary places, and they’re all extremely expensive. If you don’t want to buy our goods, you can just say it. It’s fine if you reject us. If the deal doesn’t work, we can still keep in touch on good terms. Please don’t mock us.”

Li Lei had a high degree of professionalism.

However, it was obvious that such high-end ingredients would not be used in such a small shop.

Why was this guy trying to be so sarcastic?

Besides, if you had that much money, why would you come to such a place to open a shop?

How pretentious.

“Huh? I’m not mocking you. Our shop really needs these things. Don’t doubt me,” Lin Yi said.

“There’s a thermostat and wine cabinet in the kitchen. You’ll believe me when you see it.”

The two of them did not believe it and took two steps forward. Suddenly, they saw the restaurant’s wine cabinet.

They immediately felt terrible.
