594 Please Don’t Tease an Old Lady Like Me!

“You’re interested in Lin Yi?”

“Who wouldn’t fancy such a handsome young man?” Wang Meiyun said.

“I’m not as strong as you. You have such a good man beside you, but you’re not doing anything. What a waste.”

“Doesn’t your company have any artists? Why are you targeting him?”

!!
As a good friend of many years, Guo Rui really didn’t want to hurt Wang Meiyun’s confidence.

Although she didn’t know how much assets Lin Yi had, it was definitely enough to buy her media company.

Even so, she actually wanted to keep Lin Yi as a mistress. This was not realistic at all.

However, for the sake of her good friend’s dignity, Guo Rui did not say this out loud. She planned to try to hint at this.

“Those fresh meat celebrities are all too feminine. They’re all used to tricm fans. They’re not my cup of tea.” Wang Meiyun said.

“Look at how good his figure is. One look and you can tell that he works out a lot. It suits my taste.”

Guo Rui was a little helpless. Lin Yi was really charming. He was lethal to women of all ages.

“But there’s a difference in your ages. Do you think he’ll agree?”

“In today’s society, do you think age is a problem?” Wang Meiyun said.

“Even if I’m not as good-looking as you and my figure isn’t as good as yours, I’m still confident that I can get him.”

“Is it because of your money?”

“Of course.” Wang Meiyun said.

“I’m in my forties. I might have taken good care of myself, but I’m not as good as those young ladies. I don’t have any other advantages except money.”

As she spoke, Wang Meiyun’s expression was extremely calm, as if victory was within her grasp.

“I can buy him a house and a car. He won’t have to run a shop here in the future. You know the property prices in Zhonghai. I can save him twenty years of hard work. I don’t think he has a reason to disagree.”

Guo Rui did not say anything.

What Wang Meiyun said was indeed a very real problem.

If it were any other boy, there was an 80% chance that they would agree to this.

However, the problem was that Lin Yi was not ordinary.

With his wealth, he could even buy a building, let alone a house.

This offer wouldn’t work!

Guo Rui was trying to think of a way to make Wang Meiyun give up on this unrealistic idea.

If it really didn’t work, she would have to sacrifice herself.

She could not make the situation too awkward.

At this moment, Lin Yi walked out with the food and placed it in front of Guo Rui and Wang Meiyun.

“How does it taste? Give me an evaluation.”

Guo Rui looked at Lin Yi with a smile. “We’re old friends, but you can’t take advantage of us. The food is so expensive. If it’s not delicious, I won’t pay.”

“No problem.”

The food was now in front of them. Just as Guo Rui was about to eat, Wang Meiyun said,

“Young man, let me introduce myself. I’m Wang Meiyun, the general manager of Donglai Film and Television Company. We’ve filmed several television dramas and movies in a row. The industry’s response to us has been very good, and we are planning to get listed in the credits. You should have heard of us, right?”

“Um… I’ve never heard of you guys.”

Guo Rui held her forehead helplessly. Lin Yi was still as straightforward as ever.

He was too lazy to even go through the formalities with strangers.

Wang Meiyun was not embarrassed. She still had a smile on her face.

“It doesn’t matter if you haven’t heard of us. I just want to tell you that our company isn’t that small. If we go public, its market value will be at least 500 million.”

“And? What are you getting at?”

Wang Meiyun smiled at Lin Yi. “Since I’ve said so much, I won’t hide it from you anymore.”

Wang Meiyun took out a business card from her bag and handed it to Lin Yi.

“Your shop isn’t big, and the things you sell are so expensive. I’m guessing your business isn’t very good. If you want to stop struggling anymore, call me. I don’t dare to say anything else, but I can save you at least twenty years of struggling.”

“Are you offering to provide for me?!”

Wang Meiyun was a little surprised. She didn’t expect Lin Yi to be so direct.

However, this seemed to be a good thing. It saved her the trouble of beating around the bush.

“I was thinking of just that. And you know my situation. I have 70% of the company’s shares. I’m worth at least 350 million. You have to consider this seriously.”

Seeing that Wang Meiyun had laid her cards on the table, Guo Rui was prepared to intercede.

Not to mention 350 million, even if he had 3.5 billion, he might not be interested.

Creak…

Just as Guo Rui was about to speak, the door of the store was pushed open.

Lin Yi looked up and saw Ji Qingyan walking in with her handbag.

Ji Qingyan’s outfit wasn’t as glamorous as it was yesterday, and she’d followed Lin Yi’s instructions to the letter.

She was wearing blue jeans, black and red Air Jordan sneakers, a simple white Nike T-shirt, and a pink mask.

If not for the limited edition Hermès handbag in her hand, her outfit would be no different from that of the female university students nearby.

Guo Rui and Wang Meiyun were surprised to see Ji Qingyan enter.

Her figure was too good.

Her legs were straighter than chopsticks, but she was not the skinny type.

Especially that perky butt. Even a woman like her would be jealous.

However, the moment Ji Qingyan removed her mask, the two of them were even more shocked.

This woman was really beautiful. Coupled with her figure, she was simply perfect.

If she entered the entertainment industry, she would be able to surpass the other female stars in a few years.

“I thought you were going to wait for a while,” Lin Yi smiled.

“I specially picked this time to come over. There’s no traffic right now, so it saved a lot of time. I could help out earlier.”

Hearing their tone, Guo Rui and Wang Meiyun could tell that they knew each other.

Moreover, their relationship was pretty close. They might even be boyfriend and girlfriend.

“To be honest, I don’t have much to do today. However, I went to your Lingyun Group this morning and had a meeting with Yuanyuan and the others.”

“Zhao Mo’s matter finally come to an end. After everything is returned, you’d have recovered about 80 billion yuan. Also, the 30 billion yuan compensation from Cisco has been transferred to Lingyun Group’s account. In other words, the cash flow in your hands is about 120 billion yuan. You’re also one of the richest people in all of Huaxia.”

Hearing their conversation, Guo Rui and Wang Meiyuan’s expressions changed.

120 billion…

Although the two of them were not short of money, this number was an astronomical figure to them.

Guo Rui could not help but laugh. She knew that he was rich, but she did not know that he was that rich.

Wang Meiyun looked even more embarrassed, not daring to look at Lin Yi.

What nonsense was she spouting just now?

With her net worth of 350 million, she actually wanted to sponsor a billionaire?

If this matter got out, she would become the laughing stock of the industry.

“That’s not bad.” Lin Yi nodded.

“Have you asked about the investment department? I’m going to invest in some high-tech industries to prepare for the photolithography machine.”

“I’ll have a private chat with Director Tian about this. They’ve identified a few relatively good companies.” Ji Qingyan combed her bangs across her forehead and said.

“The investment plan this time is not as small as before. Many of them start at a billion yuan, so we have to be more careful with the next investment. Otherwise, this money might go down the drain.”

“Don’t be so nervous. That’s what investments are like. Even if Buffett steps in, he can’t guarantee that every investment will succeed. As long as you bet carefully, it won’t be a problem to make money.”

“You’re right, but the final draft of the investment plan hasn’t been prepared yet. When the time comes, you’ll have to make a call.”

“That’s easy. We’ll study it when the time comes.”

“Uh-uh.”

After discussing business with Lin Yi, Ji Qingyan put on her mask and returned to the bar counter, acting like a lady boss.

“Lin Yi, we’ve eaten. How much is it? I’ll pay you now.”

The two of them ordered a lot of food, but they did not eat much.

After such an awkward incident, Wang Meiyun couldn’t eat anymore and prepared to leave quickly.

“Finished so quickly? Doesn’t your friend still want to provide for me? Continue chatting. I’m quite interested in what happened just now.”

Wang Meiyun was so embarrassed that she couldn’t show her face.

‘You’re already worth hundreds of billions. Don’t tease an old woman like me.

‘My heart can’t take it.’

“Don’t talk nonsense. She was just joking. Aren’t you afraid that your girlfriend will make you sleep on the sofa tonight?” Guo Rui teased to ease the awkwardness for her friend.

“By the way, give me the final bill. I’ll QR pay you.”

“That’ll be 1180.”

“Okay.”

“You two know each other?” Ji Qingyan asked in surprise.

“His name is Guo Rui. She’s a friend I met when I ran errands. I bumped into her today.”

“Since you’re friends, I’ll give you a 20% discount,” said Ji Qingyan.

“There’s no need for a discount. This is your new shop. I’m here to support you. Just give me a discount when I come again in the future,” Guo Rui said with a smile.

Ji Qingyan didn’t think too much about Lin Yi and Guo Rui’s relationship because she wasn’t the right age.

After paying, Guo Rui said goodbye to Lin Yi and left the store.

Pfft!

She could not help but burst out laughing.

“Mr. Lin, you’re not bad. Your charm hasn’t decreased. Someone actually wanted to support you.”

“I can’t help it. A handsome young man like me is lethal to women of all ages.”

“Stop talking nonsense. Hurry up and give me the 1,180 yuan. Also, the three bowls of egg-fried rice that you sold in the morning comes to about 1,747 yuan. Hand it all over.”

“No way. I earned so little today, yet you actually want to take it away?”

Ji Qingyan put her hands on her hips and looked at Lin Yi sternly. “Of course, I’ll manage the family’s money from now on. Your monthly allowance will depend on your performance.”

“I seriously suspect that you’re just with me for my money.” Lin Yi reluctantly handed the money over.

“What else could it be? Do you think that I fancy your family estate in Yangcheng?”
