I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 598 - 598 Internal Factions

598 Internal Factions

“Thank you, Teacher Lin.”

“I’ll give you an imperial package when I have time. I’ll let you go to Huaqing Lake to enjoy it in the future.”

“Ah?” Wang Ran was stunned. “Can girls go to that kind of place?”

“You’re too narrow-minded. Your Sister Ying even went there in the past. Why can’t you go?”

!!
“Boss, don’t talk nonsense. I just went to the hot spring to report to you. I didn’t do anything else.”

“Don’t worry about those details,” Lin Yi said, “I’ll get you a salary card when you have a boyfriend.”

Creak…

Just as the three of them were chatting, Ji Qingyan, He Yuanyuan, and Tian Yan walked in.

Among the three of them, Lu Ying and the others had only ever met He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan. They were not familiar with Ji Qingyan.

However, among the three of them, Lu Ying realized that although Ji Qingyan was dressed in plain clothes, her aura seemed to be the strongest.

“Oh, you guys are here too.” Seeing Lu Ying and the others, He Yuanyuan greeted them with a smile.

“The boss called us over. He said he has something to say,” Lu Ying said politely.

Other than Ji Qingyan, everyone else had met a few times during their business dealings, so there was no need for too many introductions.

However, Lin Yi still focused on Ji Qingyan.

Lu Ying and the others could guess what was going on from their tone and expressions.

This woman with a strong aura was very likely the boss’s girlfriend, the lady boss of Lingyun Group.

No wonder she was not allowed to wear a short black silk dress. It turned out that the lady boss was coming.

“You all know each other, so I won’t do any introductions.” Lin Yi said.

“We’re all on the same side. If you have anything to say, let’s talk openly.”

“Director Tian has drafted up a list of a few companies that require investment. I feel that the future prospects should be good. There’s a possibility of overtaking them. Everyone, take a look and study them,” He Yuanyuan said.

With that, Tian Yan handed the investment document to Lin Yi.

At the same time, he took out an iPad from his bag and handed it to Lu Ying.

“I didn’t know you were coming, so I prepared a hardcopy investment document. This is an electronic version. Take a look.”

Lu Ying took it with both hands. “Okay, thank you.”

Holding the investment document, Lin Yi flipped through it before throwing it aside.

“Go on, what did you mean by overtaking at the curve?”

Lin Yi’s actions caused Ji Qingyan’s heart to skip a beat.

Lin Yi’s expression was all too familiar to her.

He seemed a little unhappy.

Could it be that there was a problem with the investment document?

Logically speaking, with He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan’s abilities, there shouldn’t be any problems with their report.

Ifs he had known this would happen, she would have taken a look before coming here.

However, Lin Yi’s subtle actions were not noticed by the others.

They all knew that Lin Yi usually had a cynical personality.

He always did great things without revealing his true intentions, so they were not overly worried about this.

“The photolithography machine is more complicated than we thought. The important parts are banned from being exported to Huaxia. Boss, you should know the reason for this.”

“Yes, I understand.”

The rise of Huaxia would pose a huge threat to all the countries in the world.

The only country that could compete with Huaxia was Meiguo. They must be the ones behind everything.

Lin Yi rubbed his chin. Even if he could rely on the Chip 3.0 technology to obtain Cymer’s light source, he wouldn’t be able to overcome the larger problem surrounding the creation of the photolithography machine.

This was because there were other parts that were also very important to the project.

Without them, it would be very difficult to build a photolithography machine.

He Yuanyuan and the others had a simple idea. They wanted to invest in a second-tier company.

This was because these companies were already infinitely close to the top of the world. If they were given a large amount of financial support, they might be able to surpass this gap in one leap and reach an industry-leading level.

“Continue,” Lin Yi said faintly.

“We compiled some statistics. There are a total of 17 core components of the lithography machine. Meiguo has nine suppliers of these core components, Jaewon has four, Sunrise Land has three, and Deguo has one. These are all problems that we should resolve as soon as possible. Therefore, our investment plan revolves around these 17 large components.”

“The situation is not as bad as we thought,” Lu Ying interrupted.

“There are four core components that Huaxian companies cannot produce, while our laboratory is tackling other problems. As long as we resolve these issues, we can meet the global standard and cooperate with ASML or other parts manufacturers.”

“Apart from that, we’re also developing another more sophisticated project. Once this project is successful, ASML’s technology will be left in our dust. At that time, we’ll be able to overtake him.”

“This plan was suggested by Director Shen, right?” Lin Yi said.

Lu Ying nodded. “This is a development plan that Director Shen came up with. However, he said that this plan is still immature and needs to be slowly conceived, so he didn’t report it to you.”

“There’s no doubt that a single country can’t conceive a photolithography machine on their own, so we have to reach global cooperation through various channels.”

“But now, the foreign countries have imposed a technology blockade on us. Even if we want to cooperate, they won’t give us a chance to do so. Therefore, we can only use capital blackmail to do this.”

After saying that, Lu Ying paused and looked at He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan with an unnatural expression.

However, the rigor and honesty fitting of a trained engineer still made her speak her mind.

“In private, Director Shen secretly talked to us about these things. He thought that if he wanted to invest in the technology field, it would be best to invest in domestic companies.” Lu Ying continued.

“He understands the behavior of the Meiguons very well. If one day, the overseas companies that we invested in make progress in their research and development, the Meiguons will definitely intervene. At that time, we will be far away in Huaxia. Even if we go to court, we will not be their match. We will only be able to suffer in silence. In other words, we will have benefited others.”

Ji Qingyan frowned. She finally understood why Lin Yi had worn such an expression.

At this tense moment, this was undoubtedly a major hurdle.

Even if domestic suppliers were not as skilled as foreign suppliers, as long as they were decent, they had strong investment value.

As for the other components that could not be developed domestically in a short period of time, it was only reasonable to use capital threats to force cooperation with foreign companies.

In this proposal, the companies they had to invest in were all from Meiguo and Sunrise Land.

Just as Lu Ying had said, this would undoubtedly end up benefitting others.

Lin Yi supported his head with one hand and raised his eyebrows as he looked at He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan.

“What do you two think about this?”

Tian Yan looked uneasy. After a long silence, she said,

“President Lin, I was negligent in this matter and didn’t consider this problem.”

“I’m also responsible. This investment plan was developed by myself and Director Tian.”

At this moment, He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan realized that they had underestimated the situation.

The boss no longer wanted to play in Huaxia.

Therefore, when considering problems, one should consider the international environment.

The world of science and technology still had borders.

“Take this investment plan back and redo it. If there are any major mistakes, both of you will be demoted by one level.”

“Got it, President Lin.”

He supported his head with one hand and looked at Sun Fuyu.

“How’s the phone operating system coming along? Any breakthroughs?”

Sun Fuyu straightened his expression and said,

“For a long time, many mobile phone manufacturers in Huaxia have been trying to develop this. However, the reason for their failure is that their products were not mature enough and the ecosystem was not perfect. The latter point is especially true as a well-fleshed out ecosystem is the most important thing for a mobile phone system.”

“Alright, go on.”

“Therefore, we’re now focusing on developing the ecosystem. We’ve made some breakthroughs, but other than that, there are some external problems that we haven’t found the solutions to in the short term.”

“Tell me, what’s the problem?”

“A phone app,” Sun Fuyu said.

“This is part of the ecosystem. Even if we create the perfect operating system, if no one is willing to develop software to populate the system, no matter how good the system is, it will be useless.”

At the mention of this, the atmosphere in the small shop suddenly fell silent.

Even though Ji Qingyan and the others were not experts in this field, they knew that this problem would be difficult to resolve.

Not to mention a newly developed system, even Apple and Android were nothing without the support of a large number of applications.

Therefore, this was the most fatal point.

“Leave these external problems to me.” Lin Yi looked at Sun Fuyu.

“Other than that, what other difficulties have you encountered?”

“In terms of research and development, we don’t foresee many difficulties because there are many predecessors whose experiences we can learn from.” Sun Fuyu hesitated for a moment. “But I have a request. I hope President Lin can agree to it.”

“Tell me.”

“Give me another three months before the new system is released. I hope to make a finished product that we will be able to sell.”

Lin Yi looked at He Yuanyuan and Tian Yan.

“Tell me what you think.”

The two of them shook their heads in unison and Yuanyuan said,

“Director Sun, I believe in your ability and standards, but the domestic mobile phone market has already been divided between IOS and Android. I am very supportive of Lingyun Group’s mobile phone business, but I feel that three months will be too rushed. I can sense that once this project is established, we will definitely lose money.”

Lin Yi looked at Tian Yan. “What do you think?”

“My thoughts are similar to Director He’s,” Tian Yan said.

“The second half of the year is when major manufacturers release new devices. In three months, it will be the Lunar New Year. Although the craze for the release of new products will have passed, this period will still be most dangerous to us.”

“That’s because the price of mobile phones will continue to peak after new products are released. The commoners might not buy them. After a few months of precipitation and after the Lunar New Year passes, there will definitely be a huge promotion for these new products. If we release mobile phones with new systems at this time, I think the losses will be greater than we expected.”

Lin Yi looked at Wang Ran. “Tell me what you think and give your opinion.”

“I-I don’t have any objections, but if the company produces a new phone, I will definitely buy it. I will also encourage my relatives and friends to buy it.”

Wang Ran was already dumbfounded. Even if she had any thoughts, she did not dare to say them.

On one side were the big shots of the research institute, and on the other side were the higher-ups of the umbrella group. They were clearly divided into two factions.

It was not good for her to side with either group, so she could only choose to remain mum.

Lin Yi smiled. Wang Ran’s answer was within his expectations.

Although she had matured, the extent of her growth was not enough. When in such a meeting, she naturally did not dare to say too much.

This was exactly what he wanted.

Lin Yi shifted his butt and changed his posture.

It was time to test the boss.

The people on both sides had different opinions. If he helped either one of them, the other would definitely feel uncomfortable.

This was indeed a little difficult.
