I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 582 - 582 We Canʼt Show Our Faces

582 We Can’t Show Our Faces

[It’s a gift. Host, don’t be picky.]

“Don’t gifts still have to respect human rights? Seriously.”

After hearing the complaints, the system stopped talking. On the other hand, Lin Yi was too lazy to talk to it any longer.

“Boss, to be honest, I’ve been making plaques for so many years, but this is the first time I’ve seen such a unique one. One look and I can tell that you’re a talented person,” the delivery driver said.

!!
Wang Tianlong couldn’t help but laugh.

“Boss, I’ll give you an extra 500 yuan. Remove this word.”

After removing the word, it read ‘delicious’.

This way, it would look alright. It was also very unique and in line with the boss’s unique style. This was fortunate, as it would be too late to completely redesign it.

“Are you sure you don’t want to keep the word?”

Wang Tianlong, “…”

“No thanls.”

“Boss, I don’t think you need to remove that word.”

“No, we definitely do.”

“Didn’t you say earlier that you wanted to make it explosive?”

“What I meant is that I wanted the food to be explosive, not the plaque.”

“Alright, I understand.”

Lin Yi facepalmed. Was this a joke?

Because there were some spare tools in the car, in less than half an hour, the word was removed.

The overall feeling the plaque gave off also changed. Now, it actually complemented the interior of the house.

Soon, the morning passed and the decoration work in the store was completed.

Although there were still many things that could be improved, Lin Yi gave up because it was too time-consuming.

In truth, the renovation was not important. The most important thing was to complete the system mission.

[Mission completed. Reward: 100,000 proficiency points.]

[Class Completion: 10%. Reward: Master-level recipe mastery.]

“Recipe mastery?”

[All the dishes on the menu have been upgraded to master level.]

After experiencing the first four professions, Lin Yi had a thorough understanding of the words ‘master level’.

However, the system had also set a limit. It only raised the dishes on the menu to the master level.

The dishes not listed on the menu were only at the level of middle-class restaurants.

They could not even compare to what was prepared by the top chefs of the Peninsula Hotel.

However, this skill was enough to deal with daily customers.

Therefore, this reward was still very good.

When it came to the dishes on the menu, there was no one in the world who could cook better than him!

Lin Yi got up and stretched, preparing to get to work.

Although it was a little empty, the restaurant was officially open.

Lin Yi went to the kitchen to take a look around. Wang Tianlong had already prepared everything he needed.

The highest quality rice, sterile eggs from Sunrise Land, high-gluten flour from the northeast, and so on…

Almost every ingredient was considered top-notch.

In addition, Wang Tianlong had also prepared a lot of bird’s nests, abalones, and lobsters. They were all brought over from the Peninsula Hotel overnight.

Lin Yi felt that if he were to compare the stock in the kitchen, there was no one in the entire Zhengyang Street who could compete with his restaurant.

At the thought of this, Lin Yi started washing the rice. These things had to be prepared in advance, or the guests would be forced to wait.

If Lin Yi went to a restaurant to eat and the boss told him that he was about to cook the rice, he would definitely flip the table and leave.

“Boss!”

As soon as the rice was prepared, he heard He Yuanyuan’s voice.

Needless to say, Ji Qingyan must have brought her here.

“You’re here so early?”

“I initially didn’t want to come. It was Senior Sister who dragged me here.” He Yuanyuan said.

“Why do I have to come and serve the dishes when everyone else can fulfill their responsibilities as high and mighty vice presidents?”

“How can you say that? This is a good opportunity for you to curry favor with the higher-ups,” Ji Qingyan said.

“Senior Sister, why are you trying to fool me? You two are not even married yet, so why are you behaving like this? My life is really too sad.”

“It’s mainly because we can’t do without you,” Lin Yi said.

“You finally recognize my importance as a CFO. You know that you can’t do this without me helping you manage the money, right?”

“No,” Lin Yi said.

“With your senior sister and my looks, if we show our face, we’ll likely attract a lot of crazed customers. Therefore, we have to find an ugly person to handle the work at the front counter. The two of us can only suffer and stay in the kitchen to wash the vegetables and cook.”

“Boss, if you talk like that, you could easily lose your smart and cute CFO.”

“Look, even you call yourself smart and cute. Your sister and I only know how to call ourselves handsome and beautiful.”

He Yuanyuan, “…”

Where’s my gun?!

“Alright, alright. The two of you can quarrel later.” Ji Qingyan suppressed her laughter and said, “The store has already opened. Let’s get down to business.”

With that, she looked at He Yuanyuan. “When will the person I asked you to find arrive?”

He Yuanyuan looked at her watch. “The appointment is at two o’clock. It should be about time. They should be here soon.”

Lin Yi was a little confused, not knowing what the two were talking about. Just as he was about to ask, the door of the shop was pushed open.

Creak…

A middle-aged man in his forties walked in.

However, when he entered, he couldn’t help but frown and ask,

“May I ask who here is Ms. He Yuanyuan?”

“That’s me.”

Seeing the middle-aged man enter, He Yuanyuan extended her hand. “You must be Deng Wenlin, Master Deng.”

“That’s right,” Deng Wenlin said.

“Is this the shop you were talking about?”

“Yes,” He Yuanyuan said.

“Let me try the dishes later. If there’s no problem with them, we can proceed.”

Deng Wenlin hesitated for a moment. “Madam He, why didn’t you mention this is a small shop earlier.”

He Yuanyuan smiled awkwardly. “Although the shop is a little small, it emphasizes style. Moreover, the salary it’s offering is 50% higher than where you previously used to work. We’re all ordinary people. We can’t turn down money, right?”

“You’re right.” Deng Wenlin smiled bitterly.

“But do you still need to taste my dishes? I’ve cooked for a state banquet for two years in the past. Moreover, I’m very good at Canton and Lu cuisine. Many leaders constantly praise my cooking. There’s no need to go through so much trouble. I can handle such a small restaurant.”

He Yuanyuan looked at Ji Qingyan. She was the lady boss, and now that she was here, it was up to her to decide what to do.

“Since Master Deng is so confident, there’s no need for us to try the dishes. Let’s start now.”

In a restaurant, the head chef was the core of the operation.

She could not make him unhappy. As long as his request was not too much, she had to try to satisfy him as much as possible.

“Then let’s begin,” Deng Wenlin said absent-mindedly.

“I’ll go to the back kitchen to look around. If your stock isn’t complete, you guys have to prepare it.”

“Okay, no problem.”

“Wait,” Lin Yi said.

“What are you doing? Who is he?”

“A chef.” He Yuanyuan said.

“Since the restaurant is open, there should be a chef.”

“Who said anything about hiring a chef? There’s no need to hire another chef in such a big shop. My own standards are enough to handle it.”

“Boss, I know that your cooking is good, but it’s only at the level of an ordinary chef. Your family members can eat well, but we have to find a top chef if you plan to open a restaurant.”

Ji Qingyan and He Yuanyuan were well aware of Lin Yi’s culinary skills.

If he was the chef, his dishes could definitely meet the customers’ expectations.

However, since he wanted to prioritize quality over quantity in this small restaurant, he had to find the best chef.

He was not comparable to this master yet.

“Forget it. My culinary skills are enough to handle this small shop.” Lin Yi looked at Deng Wenlin and said.

“Master Deng, there’s a bottle of wine in the kitchen. Bring it back home and have some later. I can’t let you have come here for nothing.”
