I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 562: Lin Yi, You’re a Demon!

“We naturally trust Muddy Waters and Mr. Zhu’s abilities, but Lin Yi is not to be underestimated. I’m afraid he’ll think of other ways to deal with the negative news online during the press conference tomorrow,” Zhao Mo said.

“I don’t think you need to worry.” Gu Changchuan said.

“Do the math yourself. It’s been 12 hours since the news was released. They only posted a few PR statements containing your usual platitudes and didn’t do anything after that. Lin Yi is like a turtle hiding in its shell. I think they’ve already accepted their fate.”

“I agree with Boss Gu,” Sun Ce said.

!!
“It is best to come out and clear the air sooner rather than later when negative news like this surfaces. Unfortunately, they’ve already missed the best PR time. By the time their press conference rolls around, there’ll be no turning back.”

“Haha…”

Lu Xuan laughed out loud. “Previously, we dumped 100 billion worth of shares and thought that we wouldn’t be able to earn much from shorting it. However, when Mr. Zhu made a move, they didn’t even have the chance to retaliate. I feel that this time, we can earn at least 50 billion!”

Zhao Mo nodded and agreed with Lu Xuan.

However, how much they could earn was not something that could be decided just like that. It still very much depended on Feng Zhu.

“In truth, for a company of this scale, public relations is definitely not to be trifled with. They would definitely think of a solution.” Feng Zhu shrugged and smiled.

“But I also agree with you. At this point, it’s useless to do anything, because this is Lin Yi’s personal problem. Moreover, the evidence is conclusive. His chances of turning the tables are too slim.”

“Furthermore, don’t forget that Didi is different from other industries. It’s an app that serves the public. All of Huaxia will be watching these developments, and Lin Yi cannot escape their criticism. Even if he can salvage the situation, it won’t offset the negative impression in the hearts of the public. Think about it, who would still use his software to hail a taxi at this time?”

“If at this time, you use the money earned from the shorting to create a similar software and then use subsidies to occupy the market, what will be left of Didi in the end?”

“Haha…”

Zhu Feng’s words made Zhao Mo laugh out loud.

“Mr. Zhu, you were thinking the same thing as me. Our initial plan was to launch a new taxi app the moment Didi is defeated. That way, we could seize the market immediately. Moreover, the money we earned from shorting would be enough to fund it.”

“That’s exactly the idea,” Feng Zhu said.

“Therefore, my suggestion is that we find some reporters tomorrow and write some negative news pieces on the app. We will aim to not give them any breathing room during this period.”

“Once they’re half-dead, I’ll kick off the second plan and completely crush them. The third step will be when you make your move.”

“That sounds good. This short-selling plan will be perfectly executed. It will be a classic textbook case study for future generations.”

“Haha, it’s decided!” Zhao Mo raised his glass and said, “We won’t go home until we’re drunk today!”

The banquet for Zhao Mo and the others ended at midnight.

Originally, Zhao Mo had planned to bring Feng Zhu to the nightclub in Yanjing, but the latter declined politely because he still had to make some detailed preparations for the second step of the plan.

On the way back by taxi, Feng Zhu looked at the city that never slept in the East. The people moving under the streetlights were like billowing chives.

“This Lin Yi is just so-so. We didn’t even use the second wave of information before he surrendered. How boring.”

Ring!

Feng Zhu’s phone rang at this moment. It was a call from the headquarters.

After picking up the phone, before Feng Zhu could say anything, his expression turned abnormally ugly.

In a short minute, the call ended. Feng Zhu’s face was pale.

“Sir, I’m no longer going to the Four Seasons Hotel. Please change direction. I want to go to the airport.”

“Alright,” the driver said enthusiastically. Driving to the airport was a big job, so he could earn a lot more.

Feng Zhu closed his eyes helplessly, not daring to look at the scenery outside.

Just now, he felt that those people standing outside were like chives waiting to be harvested. But now, looking at them again, they were like a group of demons dancing mockingly.

“Lin Yi, Lin Yi, what kind of monster are you?!”

…

The next morning, when Lin Yi woke up, Liang Ruoxu was already gone.

When did this woman leave?

Lin Yi looked around and finally found the note left by Liang Ruoxu on the dining table.

“I’m going to work, I’ll take care of my own breakfast”

Lin Yi was stunned for a while. “You’re going to work already? We didn’t even do anything. Are you too ashamed to see anyone?”

After Liang Ruoxu left, Lin Yi did not stay at her house for long. He took the contract and drove to the Peninsula Hotel.

Since it was his own hotel, he naturally had to hold the press conference here.

When Lin Yi drove to the Peninsula Hotel, he realized that there was a large group of reporters outside, but they were all being blocked by Wang Tianlong.

Due to He Yuanyuan’s rules, reporters who were not invited were not allowed to step foot into the venue.

Seeing Lin Yi come over, a large number of reporters swarmed over and surrounded him.

“Mr. Lin, someone has exposed the fact that you have improper relationships with many women. Do you admit to this?” A female reporter with glasses asked with a sharp gaze.

“There are many women who want to have improper sex with me. Which ones are you talking about?”

Lin Yi’s unusual answer made the female reporter unable to answer.

Even if you’re handsome and rich, you can’t be so arrogant.

“Mr. Lin, the Internet also claims that you stabbed the heir of Tianhong Group and Dongheng Pharmaceuticals. We want to know what your motive was for this.”

“I recently saw that the Internet also said that those two had an improper relationship with their own mothers. That should be more newsworthy, right?”

Everyone was speechless.

What the f*ck was he saying?!

Eeek…

Eeek…

Eeek…

Brakes were heard at the entrance of the hotel.

Lin Yi saw Qin Han, Liang Jinming, and Gao Zongyuan getting out of the car alongside their bodyguards.

“It’s Qin Han!”

When they saw Qin Han, the reporters present took a few steps back.

Qin and Han’s notoriety was known to all.

If they made him unhappy, he might each give each of them a slap.

“Damn, why are the three of you dressed so flashily?”

“How can we be absent from such an important and flashy event?”

“Haha… Let’s go, let’s go. I’ll show you guys off today, let’s fly!” Lin Yi laughed.

“Then what are we waiting for? We can’t hold on any longer,” Liang Jinming said.

“Make way, make way!”

The bodyguards of the three of them rushed over immediately and pushed the reporters away without hesitation. They shielded Lin Yi and the others in the middle and successfully escorted them into the hotel.

Lin Yi saw many familiar faces in the hotel lobby.

Qi Xianzhao, He Yuanyuan, Cheng Shuang, and Tian Yan were here.

Similarly, Zhao Wen and the others were also here.

“Why are you all here? Have you eaten breakfast?”

“Boss, now is not the time to talk about this,” He Yuanyuan said anxiously.

“The press conference is about to begin. Have you thought of a solution?”

“What’s the hurry? I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. Let me finish my meal first.”

He Yuanyuan, “…”

Now was not the time to eat!
