Chapter 573: Do Your Best, Young Master Lin

After advising Lin Yi, Shen Shuyi started working.

However, at this moment, Vice President Wang Li rushed in with an iPad in her hand.

“What’s wrong?” Shen Shuyi asked.

“President Shen, you have to see this.”

!!
Wang Li stepped forward and handed the iPad to Shen Shuyi.

At first, Shen Shuyi did not take it seriously, but when she saw the contents, she could not help but turn pale with fright.

It was an article from a finance website.

The contents were not long, but it was concise and covered Zhao Mo’s short-selling battle.

It completely exposed the four major families!

Originally, only certain insiders knew that the four young masters of Yanjing were behind this short-selling war.

Ordinary people only knew that someone wanted to mess with Lingyun Group and Didi, but they did not know who the mastermind behind it was.

Now, someone had exposed all the strings behind the scenes, so this matter would surely blow up.

“Who published this article?!”

“The author posted it on his alternate account, so we can’t find any traceable information. However, I’ve already called the editor-in-chief of the financial platform just now and found out that the IP address is from Jaewon.”

“Jaewon?” Shen Shuyi’s beautiful eyes became suspicious.

“This information is accurate. The IP address is indeed from Jaewon.”

“Looks like someone wants to kill Lingyun Group,” Shen Shuyi said.

“The companies belonging to the four major families are basically state-owned companies. They wouldn’t do such petty things, so the other party’s target might be Lingyun Group.”

“That’s possible. The other party saw through this matter, so they secretly shot Lingyun Group in the back in an attempt to drag the four major families down with them. From there, Lin Yi’s Lingyun Group could be forced to face these behemoths head-on. I have to say, this move was indeed beautifully played,” Shen Shuyi said.

Wang Li thought for a moment and said,

“Now, Didi has already monopolized the transport industry and has become another national-level tech company on the scale of WeChat and Taobao. Many people are jealous of his cake.”

“Not likely.”

Shen Shuyi voiced her thoughts. “In the entire country’s travel industry, no one can challenge their position. It’s not wise to use such a method to try to attack Didi, so the other party’s goal might not be the travel industry.”

“But Didi is the only thing that Lingyun Group seems to offer.”

“No, you’ve overlooked something,” Shen Shuyi said.

“Don’t forget that Longxin is also a subsidiary of Lingyun Group. They developed a Chip 2.0 code that’s comparable to Intel’s. This is what’s truly valuable.”

“If that’s the case, it’s easy to guess what companies are competing with Longxin.”

“Back then, SMIC was beaten down by Jaewon Television like this. Although the exact process differs, the technique is still the same,” Shen Shuyi said seriously.

“Zhang Zhongmou is as sharp-eyed as ever.”

“President Shen, should we do something?” Wang Li said, “I’ve already asked the editor-in-chief of the finance platform to take down this report.”

Shen Shuyi nodded. “Tell the public relations department to use CITIC Group’s name to explain everything in this short-selling war. Hide Zhao Mo and Huayin Group’s involvement. Zhang Zhongmou should understand what I mean by doing this.”

“What if they insist?”

“That’s unlikely,” Shen Shuyi said.

“Back then, SMIC International had no power or influence, so he dared to be fearless. However, he probably wouldn’t dare to face someone like CITIC Group. Just do as I say.”

“Got it, President Shen. I’ll make the arrangements now.”

After Wang Li left, the office fell silent.

Shen Shuyi crossed her fingers and placed them on the desk. Her slender fingers hid her charming face.

Cisco had fallen, and Jaewon Television couldn’t wait to surface.

In today’s intense international situation, the semiconductor industry was absolutely on fire.

Some even said that the third world war might start because of the semiconductor industry.

From the looks of it, this was indeed the case.

Lin Yi had already become a key player in the pharmaceutical industry. It would be great if he could become a similar figure in the semiconductor industry.

What Huaxia needed the most now was exactly this kind of person.

Best of luck, Young Master Lin.

…

Huayin Group, General Manager’s Office.

The office was lifeless, and the air seemed to be suffocating.

“Director Zhao, there was a post on the Internet just now. It said that the shorting of Didi was secretly done by our Huayin Group. Our stocks have already been affected.”

“Who the f*ck did this?!”

Zhao Mo sat up from his chair and cursed.

“I didn’t find out either, but the post about the revelation has been deleted. Immediately after that, Citic Group published another related report that fully elaborated on this matter, but they didn’t mention Huayin Group’s name.”

“Aunt Shen made a move,” Sun Ce said. “She was afraid that this matter would have a negative impact, so she helped Huayin Group settle this matter.”

Zhao Mo heaved a sigh of relief. If it was someone else who did this, he might really be worried.

However, it was a different story since Shen Shuyi was the one acting.

Not many people in Yanjing City could compare to the eldest young mistress of the Liang family.

“Since the storm has subsided, there’s no need to pay attention to this matter anymore.”

“Didi’s shares have been rising crazily, and the circulation of individual shares has fallen to a new low. It’s impossible for us to buy back the shares and return them to the brokerages in a short period of time,” Lu Xuan said.

“Let’s wait a little longer. The stocks will definitely fall back to their original price. We’ll be able to buy more when the time comes,” Zhao Mo said.

“But Lin Yi’s methods are really difficult to understand. No one knows how long he can last. Moreover, the shares we borrowed from the brokerage have a time limit and interest rate. If we delay for too long, it will be very disadvantageous to us.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll think of something,” Zhao Mo said in pain.

To him, losing money was a small matter.

What he could not accept was that he had actually lost to an unknown person!

Such a blow made him feel even worse.

Thack! Thack! Thack!

There was a knock on the office door and Zhao Mo’s secretary walked in.

“Director Zhao, Chairwoman Wang wants you to go to her office.”

“My mom’s looking for me?”

“Well, yes.”

“Got it.”

Zhao Mo stood up and spoke to Gu Changchuan and the others, “Wait for me here. I’ll go over and take a look.”

“I think Aunt Wang wants to talk to you about this.”

“Perhaps.”

Zhao Mo sighed and went to the chairwoman’s office.

The office was very large, and the decoration inside was simple and grand.

In front of the silver desk sat a slightly plump woman.

She wore a pair of golden glasses and was staring at the computer intently. She did not even look at Zhao Mo when he entered.

The woman’s name was Wang Dongqing, and she was the head of Huayin Group. She was also Zhao Mo’s mother.

“You’ve gone too far this time. What were you thinking?”

Even when facing her own son, Wang Dongqing was still as cold as ever.

However, it was not that she did not dote on him. It was just that she had an incredible temper.

“This failure is all because of Muddy Waters. If they hadn’t secretly tricked me, this wouldn’t have happened!”

“Nonsense. You were too simple-minded.”

“Mom, do you think I’m inferior to him too?”

“The four of you borrowed shares totaling 100 billion yuan, but you didn’t do anything to him. You even ended up being forced to pay to cover your losses. How can you compare to him?”

“I told you, if Muddy Waters didn’t betray me, Lin Yi would have died!”

“Could it be that you only know how to look at these superficial things?” Wang Dongqing asked.

“Have you never thought about why Lin Yi has the ability to make Muddy Waters betray you?”

Zhao Mo stopped talking. This was a question worth pondering.

What was the reason behind Muddy Waters risking their reputation in the industry and doing such a thing?

They were digging their own graves!

Wang Dongqing still didn’t look at Zhao Mo.

“If you were in his position, would you have the ability to make Muddy Waters do such a thing?”
