Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 371: Support is definitely conditional. The Secretary of State actually wants to ask Long Nation for help?!

As soon as he said those words, the high-ranking officials in the command room fell into silence!

The entire scene suddenly became incredibly quiet; one could hear a pin drop.

They had originally thought the Secretary of State would propose some brilliant strategy, but they hadn’t expected it to be asking Long Nation for help!

Isn’t this asking them to bow their heads to Long Nation?

For the always arrogant Eagle Nation, this was simply unacceptable.

Although they had always been suppressed by Long Nation in the past, as the former leader of the Blue Planet, they had always thought about reclaiming their rightful position!

Therefore, even though Long Nation’s technology was far ahead of theirs, they had not admitted defeat!

All along, they had treated Long Nation as an opponent!

Now, asking them for help was tantamount to bowing down and declaring allegiance to the other side!

However, things had reached this point; they had even decided to consider using Nuclear Weapons to bomb their own country. At such a critical juncture of life and death, did that bit of dignity still matter?

Moreover, thinking about it carefully, if they were to ask for help, it seemed that only Long Nation’s rescue would be the most reliable and timely right now!

After all, Long Nation possessed an Aerospace Carrier with the capability of Space Jump. If they asked them for help now, reinforcements would surely arrive immediately; this might truly be their only lifeline.

The more they thought about it, the more they felt that this was indeed their only hope. Although they were very reluctant, there was no other better way.

Thinking of this, they slowly raised their heads and looked at President Biden, waiting for him to make the final decision.

After pondering for two seconds, President Biden, with a face full of helplessness and determination, said solemnly:

”Things have reached this point; we can only try this method!”

”If it doesn’t succeed, then we will use Nuclear Weapons!”

”If possible, I really don’t want to bomb our own territory!”

Hearing this, everyone nodded one after another. No one present objected, as everyone knew clearly that there was no other path to take now.

Not daring to hesitate any longer, President Biden dialed Long Nation’s number again.

Soon, the call was connected, and Elder Qin’s voice rang out again:

”Mr. President Biden?”

”How is your country’s situation?”

”I think that with your military strength, mere monsters shouldn’t be your match!”

Hearing this, the corners of the Eagle Nation high-ranking officials’ mouths couldn’t help but twitch. They were furious, but couldn’t vent it.

Elder Qin’s words were as if he knew they were here to ask for help; he immediately raised Eagle Nation’s strength up very high!

This left them a bit unable to back down now.

If President Biden said they were asking Long Nation for help at this moment, it would truly be a slap in the face; how embarrassing that would be.

However, President Biden had already prepared to abandon his dignity and didn’t care about being slapped in the face. He immediately said: ”It seems your country’s results in resisting the monsters are quite good; otherwise, you wouldn’t be praising our little tricks so highly!”

Elder Qin chuckled on the other end of the phone and said:

”It’s alright. After all, we were on guard against you early on. Fortunately, our precautions were in place, otherwise the consequences would be unimaginable!”

President Biden’s hand holding the receiver trembled violently; he couldn’t describe how unpleasant he felt inside!

The other high-ranking officials’ faces were also full of helplessness. They knew clearly that Elder Qin was reminding them once again that this terrible disaster was originally caused by them single-handedly. The key was that Long Nation had warned them in advance, but they had scoffed at it at the time and simply didn’t believe Long Nation’s words.

And what made them feel even more ashamed was that Long Nation had warned them more than once. They hadn’t listened to advice, and now that they were reaping what they sowed, they still had the nerve to ask them for help. Just thinking about it made them feel ashamed.

President Biden really hoped Elder Qin would shut up now.

Fortunately, Elder Qin didn’t continue speaking; otherwise, President Biden really wouldn’t have known how to continue the conversation.

Elder Qin was quite direct and said:

”Alright, tell me the purpose of your call this time!”

President Biden didn’t care about that much anymore and immediately said:

”We... need your country’s support!”

In fact, sitting on Elder Qin’s side were also a group of high-ranking officials from Long Nation. They were already very surprised to learn that Eagle Nation had called for the second time, and they were still guessing what Eagle Nation wanted by calling this time.

However, when they heard President Biden say they needed support, this surprise immediately turned into shock.

”Eagle Nation... actually wants to ask us for help???”

Someone couldn’t help but mutter in a low voice, and the others also had expressions of disbelief.

In other words, they couldn’t hold on anymore either, which made the high-ranking officials of Long Nation feel somewhat incredulous.

Logically speaking, weren’t the monsters created by Eagle Nation?

Moreover, Eagle Nation had always been so powerful, possessing various advanced weapons and strong strength; how could they not have a way to contain the monsters?

If that was really the case, then Eagle Nation and Mao Xiong’s current situation should be about the same; Mao Xiong was already in precarious danger, and Eagle Nation was probably no better off.

And thinking about it carefully, to be able to make them lower their faces to ask Long Nation for help, they might really have been forced into a corner and truly had no other way.

Thinking of this, the high-ranking officials of Long Nation looked at each other, and a trace of a smile appeared on their lips imperceptibly!

In this smile, there was both emotion for Eagle Nation’s current predicament and a trace of small triumph. After all, in the past, it had always been Eagle Nation pressing Long Nation everywhere; this current situation was truly somewhat unexpected.

After hearing their words, Elder Qin still kept a calm smile on his face!

He said to President Biden, who was waiting for news on the other end of the phone:

”Support is not impossible...”

As soon as this was said, cheers from the high-ranking officials of Eagle Nation immediately rang out from the other side. The sound was filled with the joy of surviving a disaster, as if they had already seen hope right before their eyes.

Elder Qin, however, sneered on this side:

”Don’t be in such a hurry to be happy; our support definitely comes with conditions.”

President Biden felt relieved inside at this moment. He thought it was good to have conditions; if the other party had agreed to support without conditions, that would have seemed strange!

So he hurriedly asked: ”What conditions? Mr. Qin, please tell me.”

Elder Qin said unhurriedly:

”We need your country to provide resources in exchange for our support.”

”After all, our support requires consuming a large amount of resources, which is also a significant expenditure for us!”

Upon hearing this condition, President Biden thought this was, of course, no problem. As long as he could get Long Nation’s support and save Eagle Nation, he would be willing to give up any resources, so he hurriedly said:

”No problem, please tell me specifically what resources you want!”

Elder Qin added: ”Don’t be in a hurry to agree...”

Elder Qin grinned:

”What I mean is, all of your country’s resources on the Blue Planet!”
