Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 357 Those who are complacent and stuck in their ways will inevitably be eliminated by the times. In the Eagle Nation, inside the basement of the Umbrella Corporation.

Above the basement was a Laboratory filled with a sense of modern technology; various advanced instruments and equipment shimmered with a cold metallic luster, while researchers moved among them, busy and orderly.

However, the basement was completely different!

It was permeated with an ancient, retro atmosphere, and the dim, yellowish light cast swaying shadows on the walls, as if pulling time back to Europe in the last century.

A group of people dressed in European-style clothing from the last century sat upright on both sides of a long table!

Their attire was exquisite yet exuded an air of antiquity, as if they had just stepped out of a historical painting.

In front of them were many foods, but what made one shudder was that these foods were basically all meat, and without exception, they were all raw!

The bloody chunks of meat emitted a pungent, fishy odor, appearing particularly jarring in this eerie atmosphere.

Sitting in the main seat was none other than the head of the L family, Mr. L!

He looked like a refined middle-aged man, with a gold-rimmed monocle perched on the bridge of his nose. The eyes behind the lenses were deep and mysterious, making him unfathomable.

He was not just the controller of the L family; he was the true power behind the Eagle Nation, for the heads of the families sitting on both sides of the table were all controllers of various important sectors in the Eagle Nation!

They all obeyed Mr. L implicitly; a single word from Mr. L could stir up monstrous waves in the Eagle Nation.

At this moment, they were speaking in gibberish, obscure and difficult-to-understand words. It was definitely not a normal human language, but rather seemed like mysterious incantations from ancient times, with every syllable seemingly containing some kind of magic!

It was also like the whispering of ancient gods; anyone who heard it would feel their soul stirred, their consciousness gradually blurring, and they would almost lose their sanity.

Mr. L slowly extended his hand and placed it on the table. The next second, a shocking scene occurred!

His arm instantly transformed into a mass of flesh, wriggling continuously on the table!

The disgusting sight made one unable to help but retch.

Immediately after, the mass of flesh changed shape again, turning into several tentacles that, flexible as spirit snakes, inserted themselves into the carcass of a cow on the plate before him that was still covered in fresh blood, greedily sucking up the flesh and blood within!

The ”sizzling” sound of sucking was exceptionally clear in the silent basement, like a voice from hell, chilling to the bone.

At the same time, Mr. L turned his head slightly to look at the middle-aged man sitting near him, who was also devouring flesh and blood in this eerie way!

His tone was calm yet exuded unquestionable majesty as he asked:

”Schild, how did the investigation I asked you to conduct turn out?”

”Do you know who leaked our secrets?”

Schild hurriedly nodded and respectfully responded:

”Mr. L, according to our investigation, it was an unknown force that organized a group of hackers to invade our database. Although Vlad resisted with all his might, he was ultimately outnumbered, which is why our data was leaked.”

At this time, another person snorted coldly and said with a face full of disdain:

”What unknown force? It must be the Dragon Country. I didn’t expect that even though we have been so careful and cautious, we were still targeted by them!”

”It’s all Schild’s fault for insisting on using some ’Spirit Realm’ to conduct experiments. Now look, a huge mess has been made.”

Upon hearing this, Schild immediately looked displeased and retorted:

”I don’t think I was wrong. Only by keeping pace with the times can we live longer. If we stick to old ways, we will sooner or later be eliminated by the times.”

Seeing this, Mr. L raised a tentacle and waved it gently, stopping their argument!

His expression remained calm and waveless, as if even if the sky fell, it would not move him in the slightest:

”It is merely exposure. Our plan has already succeeded. Now, in this world, no one can stop us anymore.”

Schild was still a bit worried and couldn’t help but remind him:

”Mr. L, the recent speed of Dragon Country’s technological development has exceeded our expectations. I fear this may pose some obstacles to our plan.”

Mr. L, however, was dismissive. He reached out and picked up a piece of fresh, still-twitching beef, put it into his mouth nonchalantly, and chewed it unhurriedly a few times!

Then he swallowed the steak directly into his stomach!

Then, looking at Schild, he said unhurriedly:

”Schild, I do not dislike that you enjoy researching human technology, but you must constantly remind yourself not to forget your noble lineage!”

”Human technology before us is nothing more than apes that have just discovered fire but do not yet know how to apply it. It poses no threat to us!”

”Do not forget our plan; everything is for that important ritual.”

Hearing this, Schild hurriedly nodded, his eyes full of longing, and said:

”Speaking of which, Mr. L, it seems our ritual can begin very soon. I can’t wait for that day to arrive.”

At this time, others also echoed:

”It’s not just you, Schild. This is the grand wish of all of us. We have waited for this day for far, far too long.”

And for this great grand wish of theirs to be completed, it seemed a key step was still needed. Everyone’s gaze fell uniformly on Mr. L, their eyes full of anticipation and fanaticism.

Mr. L unhurriedly ate the last piece of twitching steak, then took a napkin from the hand of an attendant nearby and elegantly wiped his mouth!

Then he said in a very gentle and calm tone: ”Then, let’s begin!”

For a moment, in this basement hundreds of meters deep, excited cheers suddenly erupted from everyone!

The sound echoed in the narrow space, as if it were a carnival from hell, exuding an evil aura that made one shudder.

...

Inside The White House, President Biden was nervously watching the situation of the joint meeting through a live broadcast.

When his gaze landed on the evidence produced by the Dragon Country, he suddenly felt as if he had been struck by a bolt from the blue; he was completely stunned!

His eyes were wide open, filled with terror and shock, and he muttered to himself:

”Fake! It’s all absolutely fake. That is Mr. L’s industry; how could he possibly create such a terrifying monster!”

”It must be that the Dragon Country discovered their existence and is deliberately taking the opportunity to smear us!”

The Secretary of State, seeing this, also realized the seriousness of the situation and hurriedly said:

”Mr. President, we must do something. It’s chaotic outside right now!”

Saying this, the Secretary of State walked quickly to the window and pulled open the curtains.

Outside The White House, a large number of angry Eagle Nation citizens had already gathered. They were angrily surging toward the gate of The White House, conducting protests and demonstrations, with anger and worry written on everyone’s faces!

Shouting slogans, they demanded that the authorities thoroughly investigate the Umbrella Corporation. The momentum was huge and looked quite spectacular, yet it was also terrifying.
