Chapter 130 Why didn’t the Aegis system work?Apart from a Nuke, he really couldn’t fathom what kind of weapon could turn Japan’s joint fleet of sixteen warships into such a state!

There was no time to think, so he immediately decided to report this matter to the US President!

He would let him make the final decision!

He ordered the Satellite Department: ”Gather all relevant data for me and send it to President Biden’s office!”

The Satellite Department person in charge also realized that this matter was of great importance and immediately nodded in response:

”Give us ten minutes!”

”We’ll get it done right away!”

Secretary of State Jack tidied up a bit and immediately headed to the presidential office!

In the office, President Biden saw Secretary of State Jack approaching, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but turn up:

”Secretary of State Jack! Are you here to bring me good news?”

”How is the situation in Japan?”

”Have those guys from Dragon Country been taken care of?”

President Biden also knew about Japan’s actions, and seeing the Secretary of State looking for him, he thought he was coming to report on the progress of the matter!

However, when he noticed the grave expression on Secretary of State Jack’s face, he seemed to realize something and immediately frowned:

”Has something gone wrong again?”

Secretary of State Jack shook his head helplessly: ”You will know in a moment!”

Before long, the secretary received the data sent by the Satellite Department.

President Biden stepped forward to check, and photo after photo appeared before him!

He squinted slightly, picked up a pair of reading glasses from the table to the side, put them on to take a closer look, and in the next second, his eyes widened instantly!

He was also shocked by the layer of warship wreckage on the sea surface!

Especially the unexpectedly intact rising sun flags on the sea surface, which spoke of these warships’ affiliation.

These warship wrecks were undoubtedly from Japan’s side!

President Biden looked at Secretary of State Jack in shock: ”What is going on?”

”Secretary of State Jack, you previously told me that Japan’s plan this time was foolproof!”

”So what is going on now?”

Secretary of State Jack’s expression was also very helpless, and he spread his hands:

”The cause of the accident is still under investigation...”

”Bang!” A loud noise suddenly rang out!

President Biden smashed his thermos cup hard against the wall.

”Secretary of State Jack, I am extremely dissatisfied with your answer!”

”The cause of the accident is still under investigation?”

”The accident with our fighter formation previously is still under investigation, and there hasn’t been a single result!”

Secretary of State Jack grimaced, thinking to himself that this old man must have something wrong with him!

”The incident happened suddenly, and I have no choice!” he said, bracing himself.

Just then, the secretary suddenly spoke up:

”The Satellite Department has sent new data!”

Secretary of State Jack and President Biden were immediately drawn by this news!

They discovered that this time, the Satellite Department had actually retrieved footage of the target sea area!

The secretary played the footage captured by the satellite!

The video showed Japan’s fleet!

Sixteen warships were in a formation, tightly watching the sea area in the center!

At this time, these warships had not yet experienced any accidents!

They were imposing!

One look and you could tell they were not to be trifled with!

And at this moment, there were no abnormalities in the footage.

At the same time, there were no other warships in the vicinity for dozens of nautical miles.

Judging by the situation, it didn’t look like Dragon Country warships had come to provide support!

Because of this, they were even more confused!

The question that had always lingered in their minds appeared again!

What exactly was the reason that destroyed these warships???

The accident still hadn’t occurred, but they continued to wait patiently. As time ticked by, they became increasingly expectant about the cause of the accident that destroyed the warship fleet!

And their wait finally yielded results!

Just as they were examining the various warships on the screen, they suddenly saw one of Japan’s warships erupt with astonishing firelight!

So fast!

This warship was torn apart from the middle as if it had been struck by a meteorite!

The sturdy hull, in this sudden attack, seemed to turn into paper and was torn apart quite casually!

You have to know, this was a ten-thousand-ton class large destroyer!

Even if it encountered a powerful missile attack, it shouldn’t be unable to withstand even one!

But at this moment, this ten-thousand-ton destroyer was so vulnerable!

It quickly sank into the seawater!

This scene stunned everyone!

And this seemed to be just the appetizer!

Immediately after!

Another ten-thousand-ton destroyer was attacked!

The outcome was the same as the previous destroyer, and it was quickly sunk!

Secretary of State Jack was very puzzled: ”If I remember correctly, these warships were all equipped with our Aegis Combat System?!”

”Why didn’t it work?”

”Could it be that it couldn’t intercept?”

Secretary of State Jack’s conjecture left President Biden stunned!

The Aegis Combat System was an extremely advanced automated command and combat system they developed and equipped.

It was one of the world’s advanced ship-based air defense and anti-missile systems.

If the Aegis Combat System really couldn’t intercept this kind of attack, it meant that their navy might very well suffer the same fate when facing the same attack.

”What exactly is going on?”

”We can’t even see the opponent’s shadow; this attack speed is simply too fast!”

A sense of horror welled up in President Biden’s heart.

He asked the secretary to zoom in on the footage!

As the footage was played back bit by bit, and then zoomed in!

They finally saw that a black shadow had attacked Japan’s warship!

But this thing’s speed was too fast, and they still only saw a trace of an afterimage!

They still didn’t know what exactly was attacking Japan!

Unless it was a professional high-speed camera, it was just a waste of effort!

President Biden was unconvinced: ”There are sixteen warships here; I don’t believe we can’t see clearly what the thing attacking them is!”

But next, when the secretary prepared to check them one by one!

They discovered that these warships had already started to flee!

Obviously, the Aegis Combat System had not had any effect at this moment!

If it had been useful, they wouldn’t have chosen to flee!

And after these warships had run for a while, the attacker seemed to have given up the attack!

Just when they thought the attacker had really given up on attacking Japan!

Suddenly, another black shadow struck!

This black shadow seemed to contain immense power; one could almost see the phantom image it produced when it tore through the air!

However, the trajectory of this black shadow seemed a bit off!

It was heading straight towards the sea area in the center of the warships!

This is... a miss???

Not at all!

To be precise, it missed, but not completely!

As the black shadow hit the water, the terrifying power it carried was fully unleashed at this moment!

With it as the center of the explosion, a world-destroying shockwave spread rapidly to the surroundings like a violent tsunami.

Like a sickle, it harvested all these warships!

Not long ago, these imposing warships had now turned into wreckage!

Seeing this scene, everyone in the conference room...

Were completely stunned!
