Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 95 The idea of a protective petChapter 95 The idea of a protective pet

Now Russell is a very promising prospect of the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance. Just a few minutes after his message was sent, Dr. Xia Mu quickly sent back the list of all recent auctions.

Although the auction has the nature of Taobao, the general content of the auction held in a secondary city is basically the product of the surrounding undeveloped areas. For those auctions that tend to specialize in materials and the sale of regular pet animals, Russell is not too concerned about it. So interested,

After flipping through the pages, Dr. Natsuki circled something that caught his eye:
”At eight o’clock this Friday night, the senior hunting team will return. A batch of pet beasts found from the abandoned camp of the Fire Pirates will be auctioned together in the name of the harvest of the senior hunting team. Several of the protective pet beasts are for sale.”

Because he had only learned about the Fire Stealing Group not long ago, Russell was very impressed by this organization.

There may be big problems with their ideas and they are too extreme, but from the perspective of cultivating pet beasts, they go to any lengths to use pet beasts as tools and do not pay much attention to ”animal rights”. The orthodox beast control alliance is worse.

Perhaps, in some special fields, they may have more information than the Beast Control Alliance.

Moreover, since they can be sold at the official auction, it proves that these pet beasts do not have too serious quality problems or psychological problems. Simply put, they should not be completely killed or disabled by hell training, and they have the ability to cultivate possible.

Although Russell himself is very good to the two current pet beasts, as well as the general pet beasts in the breeding farm, he actually really wants a pet beast that has really grown from fighting in the wild.

Such a pet beast may not necessarily be better than a carefully cultivated pet beast in terms of skills and levels, but in terms of survival consciousness and crisis response, it is enough to crush many flowers in the greenhouse.

For a protective pet whose main responsibility is to protect the safety of the beast master, these two are crucial abilities, even more important than the strength of its own protection skills.

After all, if a pet beast has powerful shield skills, but has never faced danger at all, when the beast master is attacked, he will either not react, or he will be simply frightened, or he will instinctively use his defense skills If it is applied to yourself, no matter how high your bloodline level is, it will be useless.

In other words, the protective abilities of protective pets are actually very diverse.

In addition to the most basic and direct, which is to equip the beast master with defensive skills, control, illusion, coordinated displacement, etc. are all effective means of protection.

There are even some beasts that have not mastered protective skills at all, but can be invisible and prone for long periods of time, are extremely sensitive to dangerous approaches, and can achieve extreme counterattack and attack. They are also cultivated as protective beasts by some beast masters.

Just imagine, when an assassin quietly approaches a seemingly undefended target and is about to take action, he discovers that his body has been cut several times by a ghost beast that has quietly approached. What a scene. He must be handsome.

Of course, Russell is not the kind of person who likes to play to the extreme. He still tends to choose a relatively traditional protective pet.
Anyway, the number of pet beasts that high-level beast masters can contract can reach five or six, and there are many output positions. It is better to keep the protective pet beasts pure.

…………

Looking at the time on his phone, he saw that today was already Wednesday. Looking forward to the auction on Friday, Russell felt that he was full of energy. He was even full of energy to act as a human energy screening machine in the Imperial Insect House.

That’s right, he now prepares Stygian grass juice for the newly evolved UFO moths every day, and then conducts energy screening one by one to ensure that they are always in the best condition.

Because...this batch of adult UFO hawkmoths will soon usher in the breeding season.

The lifespan of an insect-type pet beast is very short. Without a contract, these insect-type pet beasts whose original race was only in bronze would not be able to live for more than a few years. In order to maintain the number of the group, the first thing that insect beasts below the silver level have to do when they reach adulthood is almost to reproduce.

After all, when they first evolved, these young Ufu Tian’e had the most energy in their bodies and were in the best condition in all aspects.

If they survive in the wild for a period of time, regardless of the fact that many of their own species will be killed by predators, their condition will be significantly worse than before due to factors such as lack of food and battle injuries.

Especially for female insect beasts, they have to bear the huge cost of breeding their eggs. Moth pets are not like some carnivorous insects where the males can prepare some prey in advance to supplement their energy needs.

After reproduction is completed, as long as the female is in a slightly worse state, it will be difficult to safely lay all the pet eggs.

Although these silkworm pet beasts have been domesticated on a large scale by humans, they still maintain the habits of surviving in the wild. According to Lu Yinning’s book ”Postpartum Care of Silkworm Pet Beasts”, the reproduction of the UFO hawkmoth family The time is almost a week after breaking out of the cocoon.

As long as this batch of UFO Hawkmoths can successfully complete a generation of reproduction, the quality of the next batch of pet beasts in the Imperial Insect House can be effectively guaranteed.

If we continue to optimize this from generation to generation, sooner or later we will be able to turn the UFO Hawkmoth clan into pure silver-level pets on a small scale, not to mention too far.

In order to ensure the breeding effect, Russell also prepared separate breeding boxes for those silver-level UFO moths, hoping that the breeding between silver-level adults could directly produce silver-level pet beast eggs.

In the remaining time, in addition to quietly waiting for the UFO Hawkmoths to reproduce, Russell also started arranging the publicity work for the ”Dream Spiritual Sanatorium”.

He commissioned Lu Yinning to invite some students from the photography department and spent credits to shoot a cute pink promotional video.

In the promotional video, you can see a newly renovated model room in the sanatorium. There are soft silk seats and single beds in it. The decoration colors are also very soft and use translucent gauze, which is very in line with the ”dream” style. ”This keyword.

In the video, there is also an introduction to the pink velvet spider family, and their cute images make them look as cute and compact as a group of little dolls.

Those who are not afraid of spiders can have close contact with the Dreamweaver Spider, and those who are afraid of spiders can also enjoy services through spiritual connection equipment, focusing on a flexible and humanized approach.

…………

In this fulfilling life, time flies by and soon comes the time mentioned by the hunting team auction.

At : in the evening, Russell and Dr. Xiamu appeared at the door of the auction house on time.

The location of the auction house is also located inside the Beast Control Alliance Building. Because very common products are generally sold through online sales, and the products placed in the auction house have certain purchase thresholds, there are not many people attending the auction. .

Everyone sat in their own small boxes, sipping free juice, and waiting with great anticipation for the auction items to appear.
