Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 51 Announcement 1 ParagraphChapter 51 Come to an end
With the cooperation of the Velvet Dreamweaver Spider and the news that the eighth-level ferocious beast was likely to be sealed in the secret realm, Dr. Xia Mu immediately sent Ying Lan, the space beast master, into the depths of the cave and used space power to repair the cracks. , relying on the cobwebs to barely prevent the broken stalactite pillars.

With the efforts of her and the Mirror Cat, the cracks on the stalactite pillars slowly healed, and the shrinking speed of the space cracks at the entrance to the secret realm was also suppressed. Everything seemed to be back under control.

It’s just that Ying Lan’s own strength is slightly lower. With her physical strength and energy as a fourth-level beast master, space repair requires a huge energy expenditure. She has to take a break after half an hour, and the repair progress is a bit slow.

At Dr. Natsuki’s reminder, Russell also asked the Dreamweaver Spider a question:
That’s what happened to the space turbulence in the Black Dew Forest at the beginning of the year. Was it caused by the sealed monster’s impact on the seal?
However, the Dreamweaver Spider insisted that the monsters in the seal had not made any major changes for the time being, and that the spatial turbulence was coming from the Black Dew Forest, affecting the stability of the secret realm from the outside.

Upon hearing the news, Meng Yuanfeng, whose main responsibility was city defense, turned black.

I was happy these days, thinking that I could develop a small secret realm that would be beneficial to the development of Senluo City. Unexpectedly, I learned about the sealed monster from the secret realm’s guardian beast.

Immediately afterwards, the Dreamweaver Spider, who was directly affected by the space turbulence, said that the source of the turbulence was definitely not the seal in the secret realm...

You must know that what can cause space turbulence is either a huge change in the space properties of a certain area, or the violent energy collision of high-level pet beasts fighting to the death disrupts the surrounding space.

No matter which one it is, it is a threat to surrounding cities that cannot be ignored.

After the space turbulence occurred at the beginning of the year, the Longquan City Alliance Headquarters organized a large-scale search, but no useful results were found. In the end, most investigators believed that the turbulence may be caused by the collapse of the inner space of the secret realm.

But now, this conclusion has been overturned, and the two dangers are superimposed. They must re-evaluate the safety level of the Black Dew Forest.

The Alliance has been exploring the Black Dew Forest for decades, and has built a testing ground and some breeding and breeding bases in the outer areas. How come it suddenly became a high-risk zone...

This made Meng Yuanfeng very depressed.

In response to these circumstances, Dr. Xia Mu and Deputy Commander Meng Yuanfeng contacted the garrison in the city and brought a lot of supplies. It seemed that they were going to build a temporary camp near the secret realm of the ”Dreamweaver’s Nest”.

According to the emergency response plan, they planned to lay some basic defenses and information networks at the entrance to the secret realm.

Because no one can guarantee that space turbulence will not happen again, let alone whether the monsters sealed in the secret realm will really break out by then.

In case of any accident, even if these fortifications cannot stop the ferocious beasts that break through the seal, they can still send the news back to Senluo City in time and coordinate with other surrounding cities to carry out joint defense in the shortest possible time.

However, the Beast Control Alliance is a large-scale organization. Whether it is finalizing major matters or applying for assistance, there are many procedures to go through. It cannot be completed overnight by just a few middle-level managers from second-tier cities.

In the past few days, they were very busy, but Russell had no time to stay in the wild.

After accompanying Ying Lan into the secret realm a few more times, and after the Dreamweaver Spider completely lowered its guard and even took the initiative to disperse some of its silk to cooperate with the repair work, Russell said goodbye to Dr. Xiamu and returned to Senluo City in an armored vehicle.

There are three second-level cities near the Black Dew Forest, as well as countless small towns. Together, there may be tens of thousands of professional beast masters that can be mobilized.

The high-level pet beasts in the forest might go crazy and threaten the city. It was not his turn as a third-level beast master to worry about.

Besides, a threat is a threat, but it is still far from a real ”disaster”.

Meng Yuanfeng and the others paid so much attention to this, and considered more about the traffic of commercial routes between cities, as well as the safety of scattered farms and villages in the surrounding areas. The possibility of the ferocious beasts actually invading the main urban area was actually slim.

After being away from home for a few days, Russell is most concerned about the growth progress of Ayou and Daodao Mantis.

After receiving clear orders from the beast master, the pet beasts that have been contracted can also simply cooperate with the commands of others. Knowing that it is not his turn to take action during the exploration of the secret realm, Russell left both pet beasts behind before leaving. In the store.

Ayou continued to eat and drink, accumulating energy for evolution and practicing her floating ability.

Daodao Mantis was picked up and dropped off by Lu Yinning, and he continued to practice Mantis Boxing hard.

I don’t know if they have made much progress after not seeing each other for a few days~
However, before returning to the Insect Controlling House, Russell had to go to the Senluo Insect Controlling Research Institute, where there was a batch of rare materials prepared by Dr. Natsuki for him, which was the reward he deserved for being the main force in this exploration.

With the pass issued by Dr. Xia Mu himself, Russell came to the innermost storage room on the third floor of the institute without any hindrance. Researcher Li Moran had received the news in advance that he was coming to collect his reward and was waiting at the door early.

”Russell, these are the cultivation materials selected by Dr. Xia Mu, as well as some internal information, you should be able to use them.” After a few simple greetings, Li Moran took out a sealed box the size of a suitcase from the safe.

”Thank you.”

Looking at Li Moran who was focusing on checking the items in the box with a list in his hand, Russell sincerely thanked him.

When he was just an ordinary small business owner, when he went to the Fossil Museum to receive the dungeon grass, Li Moran did not put on airs. Not only did he patiently receive him, but he also offered to help him apply for subsidy projects.

Now that Russell is very close to her immediate boss, Li Moran is still neither humble nor overbearing, and has never taken the initiative to inquire about the relationship between the two.

Russell always felt very comfortable getting along with such people.

I wonder if it will be possible to recruit the Li Moran sisters as R&D personnel when Yu Chongwu expands its scale and develops a product research and development department...

It’s probably a bit difficult. After all, the Senluo Beast Control Research Institute is a high-level organization with established staff. How can a small business like my own compare?

However, if we cooperate more with Dr. Natsuki and ask him to send researchers to help from time to time, it is still possible.

While Russell was thinking about things, Li Moran had quickly finished counting the physical rewards. She closed the sealed box again, and then took out a stack of contracts from the filing cabinet next to her.

”There is also this contract, which the doctor asked me to draw up. Take a look at it and sign it if you have no objections.”

With that said, Li Moran handed the contract to Russell, with the words ”Forest Land Contract Contract” clearly written on it.

After taking the contract and reading it quickly, he roughly understood Dr. Natsuki’s intention.

The first half of the contract is indeed related to forestland contracting, which includes that the forestland is located near Fenglin Road, has a wide area, the contract period is unlimited, the rent is free, and only some basic environmental management fees need to be paid, etc.

Looking at the whole article, it can be said that the conditions are very generous, and Russell took advantage of almost every clause.

However, at the end of this contract, a separate confidentiality agreement was attached, which stated that it was forbidden to disclose any information about the official cooperation with the Senluo City Beast Control Alliance. Otherwise, the rewards and subsidies given would be doubled, and the rewards and subsidies may be doubled. Caught and jailed.

From this point of view, the box of rare cultivation materials just now was his reward for helping to obtain information as an external investigator.

And this contract is probably the hush money to ensure that Russell will never reveal the secret information to the outside world.

Fortunately, Russell himself is not a meddlesome person. Even if Dr. Natsuki doesn’t point him out in this way, Russell will not go around showing off about exploring the secret realm.

It was almost like picking up a piece of suburban woodland only a few kilometers away from Fenglin Road for nothing, which surprised him.

As the scale of breeding pet animals in the Imperial Insect House expands, food sources are actually an issue that must be considered.

Although pet beasts like giant mulberry silkworms can survive by eating some ordinary mulberry leaves and low-level cultivation materials, and rely on purchasing to solve the food ration problem, the sales are always not as good as those grown at home.

It’s not that there will be any quality issues with the feed you buy, but the mass-produced stuff is mostly mediocre, which is not conducive to the refined breeding of pet animals.

Moreover, the queen bee egg has been hatched for some days, and new queen bees will break out of the egg from time to time. If you do not want to use processed ready-made pollen as honey-making material, the honeypot bee colony must also have a piece of land that can safely collect honey. place.

”It seems we need to hire another gardener or something...”

After coming out of the Senluo Beast Control Research Institute, Russell held the contract in hand and thought about recruiting new employees.

After all, he had to be busy cultivating his main pet beasts, and also had to take care of sifting and sifting energy for other insect-type pet beasts in the store. He really didn’t have time to farm anymore.
