Beast Taming: Becoming a Bug-type Elite Four Member Starting with Silkworm Raising

Chapter 61 Training CooperationChapter 61 Training Cooperation
”Uh... big quantity discounts, of course it’s okay.”

Because the topic changed too quickly, Xiang Pan was stunned by Russell’s question. Fortunately, the sales package of the martial arts school has basically remained unchanged, so he could answer it without thinking.

But he quickly reacted and asked happily:

”Brother Russell, do you want to introduce your friends here?”

Even if he couldn’t recruit Russell as a student, it would be good if he was willing to introduce some business. The genius boy’s circle of friends should not be much different.

Bloodstone Martial Arts School really needs some new generation of outstanding students to win some competition awards and the like to revive the brand’s reputation.

However, Russell’s next answer far exceeded Xiang Pan’s expectations.

”They’re not friends, they’re the pet beasts in my shop. If I regularly send dozens of pet beasts here for training, how much discount can I get?”

”...?”

”Brother Russell, did I hear you correctly? You said you run an insect pet shop, right?”

In Xiang Pan’s impression, although there are businesses selling insect-type beasts everywhere, they have always been mainly about selling materials, and they focus on quantity rather than quality.

This is because few people cultivate insect-type pets as the main contract beasts. Most of them only improve their affinity with humans through domestication from an early age, ensure that they grow up to be healthy and healthy, and then use them as tool bugs.

Moreover, what Russell just mentioned was a batch of dozens, so it was even less likely that they were someone’s contracted beasts.

He had never heard of this kind of breeding method for ordering a training course worth several hundred credits for batch-cultured insect beasts.

After all, not every insect-type pet is as outrageous as the contracted beast carried by Russell. Those ordinary low-level insect-type pets often have unsatisfactory results even if they are carefully cultivated.

If you have that kind of effort, you still have to bear the risk of training failure, so it’s better to just increase the budget and use small mechanical pets.

The number of mechanical beasts that are more popular and adaptable is gradually increasing, which has little impact on the business of insect-based materials, but it does have a big impact on the sale of non-production insect-based beasts.

”It’s an insect pet shop, yes. When doing business, you have to constantly improve. An old method will be eliminated sooner or later if it remains unchanged for decades. Is Director Xiang worried that I will default on the payment if the breeding effect is not good?”

Russell was well aware of Xiang Pan’s doubts, but he didn’t need to explain too much, he just joked with a smile.

”What the hell, I am an old man and I can’t keep up with the times. Whether it’s cultivation or business, it still depends on you young people.”

Hearing Russell’s reluctance to reveal too much information about cultivation, Xiang Pan also knew how to use discretion. He also smiled and said a few haha, and then said seriously:

”Otherwise, your cultivation and improvement will be counted as part of the Bloodstone Martial Arts School. We will not divide your sales income, and the course price can be discounted by %. But if the cultivation effect is good, you have to help us promote it. , and how about long-term cooperation?”

Probably because the business situation was really bad, Xiang Pan’s attitude was sincere and not as condescending as the wealthy businessman Tian Xiuqi. Russell thought about it and felt that this cooperation would not be harmful to him, so he nodded and agreed.

Xiang Pan seemed quite happy to be able to reach a cooperation with Russell. After all, the two insect-type pet beasts he contracted were so powerful that they must have their own unique breeding methods. Even other pet beasts that were domesticated in batches could not contract with him. In comparison, it shouldn’t be too bad.

…………

After coming out of the Bloodstone Martial Arts Hall, Russell did not choose to take a car. Instead, he followed Ayou and Daodao Mantis to have fun nearby, while he walked slowly towards the Chongwu House.

Fenglin Road is very close to Huayuanli. Even if you walk slowly, 10 minutes is enough to get home.

Taking advantage of this leisure time, he quickly went through the insect-type pets suitable for combat training in his mind.

Based on my breeding experience, it is definitely safest to raise some mantises. Its emerald-green mimicking body is difficult to detect when hiding in trees. It also likes to prey on small plant-eating pets. Many farms will domesticate some. The mantis is used to remove insects.

If you raise several batches of young sword mantises, and when the sword mantises also evolve into the status of a lord, there will be a ready-made group for them to rule.

However, this route also has a very critical problem that needs to be solved, that is, Russell currently does not have the authority to unlock the evolution aura of the mantis pet beast.

Without the assistance of the evolution halo, the prerequisite for mass breeding is that he has to screen the energy of all the pet beasts one by one every day, which is too time-consuming and labor-intensive and has a very low cost performance.

If you want to unlock the authority, you have to find a mantis lord-level pet... But this thing seems to have almost no social habits!

Moreover, mantises are carnivorous pets, and the cost of extra meals during high-intensity training is very high.

After thinking about it, Russell decided to change it...

At least go home and look through the internal information Dr. Natsuki gave him. While thinking, the half-block journey was quickly completed, and Russell returned to the familiar boulevard of Maplewood Road.

Not far away, in front of the door of the Imperial Insect House, a figure waved to him from a distance.

”Russell, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time!”

The voice was very familiar. Russell took a closer look and found that it was Researcher Li Moran whom he had met several times.

She didn’t wear the smart research clothes today, but changed into a refreshing summer sportswear. Russell almost didn’t recognize her for a moment.

”Well...Researcher Li, hello, do you have anything to do with me?”

Unexpectedly, Li Moran would come to the door suddenly, Russell asked with some confusion.

”Researcher Li... it sounds awkward. We are already acquaintances. Call me Mo Ran. You can also call me Sister Ran.”

When Russell called himself Researcher Li with a social smile on his face, Li Moran curled his lips.

This kid must be a few years younger than me. He looks mature, but his temperament is somewhat similar to Dr. Natsuki.

Simply put, like a serious nerd.

However, complaints are complaints, and Li Moran still did not forget the business of visiting the Royal Chongwu:

”Dr. Natsuki asked me to get the pet beast provided to the institute. Are you ready?”

Hearing this question, Russell was slightly startled, and then his face turned slightly red.

Ah, this... I just remembered to get the benefits, and completely forgot about providing research subjects to the Senluo City Beast Control Research Institute on a regular basis.

But anyway, all the silkworm pets in the breeding farm have gone through several rounds of energy screening. Thinking about it, there seems to be nothing to prepare. Just grab two large silkworms and give them to her.

”Haha... Ready, ready, follow me to the breeding ground to get it.”

Thinking of this, Russell laughed twice, and then took Li Moran to the breeding ground not far away.

In the factory, everything is in order, and leaf brooding insects are quietly wandering next to the breeding equipment. The only sounds are the hum of the ventilation device and the gnawing sounds of the silkworms.

The number of pet animals used for research was not large, so Li Moran picked two large mulberry silkworms and two black-ringed silkworms, packed them in a portable breeding box, and prepared to leave.

”Separately set up advanced incubation device. Have you bred any rare pets recently?”

Before leaving, Li Moran, who was casually looking around at the breeding factory, suddenly noticed a machine placed by the window.

As a mature scientific researcher, she naturally recognized that this was an incubation device used to ensure the smooth hatching of pet beast eggs and to provide a place for young pet beasts to live.

It is not necessary to use an incubation device to cultivate ordinary large silkworms. The larger the population, the more adaptable the pet animals are. Put the eggs in the breeding equipment and maintain the temperature and humidity normally. It will not take long for the silkworm eggs to hatch.

Moreover, all the configurations of this incubator are complete, and it is obviously a high-end product.

The quality of the insect-type beasts that Russell cultivated was already much higher than the average. Li Moran was naturally very curious about the beasts that he valued so much.

Seeing this scene, Russell did not stop him and allowed Li Moran to walk to the cultivation device and look at it.

Sooner or later, Zuoyu Chongwu will start selling honey, so there is no need to hide the fact that he has raised a young queen bee too closely.

After all, an apiary of the size of Honey Pot Valley cannot be built with just one queen bee. The various subsequent industrial chains and the maintenance of the environment in the valley are all crucial.

Although Russell is also expanding the scale of breeding, his overall plan is still to have a certain scale of high-quality products. In fact, it will not compete too much with the traditional insect industry where scale is paramount.

……

After following Dr. Xia Mu for several years, Li Moran has seen a lot of the world. When she saw the young queen bee in the incubation device, she was a little surprised, but she didn’t pay too much attention. She just congratulated Russell and left the incubation. field.

After seeing off Li Moran, Russell returned to the Imperial Insect House and concentrated on flipping through the pile of internal information that he had not yet had time to look at carefully.
