the fighter aircraft circled automatically in the sky.

tang rui’s attention was entirely focused on the maintenance robot.

at this time, the maintenance robot had already removed the propeller for the submarine. it would be brought back to the base for inspection and maintenance later.

the next step was to help the submarine carry out a deeper level of inspection, such as metal flaw detection of the inner liner.

what should he do?

it was straightforward.

he first removed the soundproof tiles on the exterior of the submarine, then opened a hole in the submarine’s outer shell to reveal the inner liner.

next, he could perform metal flaw detection on the inner container.

however, before doing this, he needed to inform the people in the submarine.

clang clang… dang dang…

under tang rui’s control, the maintenance robot used its mechanical arm to tap the submarine’s outer shell.

this wasn’t about whether the submarine was fully operational.

he was trying to contact the people inside.

however, the noise startled the people inside the submarine.

first, it was the torpedoes.

then, the propeller disappeared.

now, something was knocking on the submarine’s outer shell.

whoever was out there was fearless.

“activate active sonar.”

the captain didn’t care about anything else and directly activated the active sonar.

normally, when the submarine was at the bottom of the sea, it would only use passive sonar, meaning it would only receive sonar waves from the outside world. under such circumstances, no one could discover the submarine.

however, when the submarine turned on the active sonar, it was equivalent to announcing the submarine’s presence.

thus, most submarines were currently equipped with towed sonar.

but the captain didn’t care about that now. if he didn’t activate the active sonar, he really couldn’t hold on. it was too terrifying. they didn’t even know what was happening in the outside world.

as the active sonar was turned on, the people in the submarine also detected the maintenance robots outside.

“what is this?”

the captain looked at the sonar and was puzzled.

he felt that the number of times he was confused and bewildered today was more than in the first half of his life.

clang! clang! clang!

the maintenance robot outside continued its rhythmic tapping.

“captain, this seems to be morse code.”

“translate it immediately.”

the professionals on the submarine quickly translated the morse code.

“friends inside, are you all right?”

the captain held the notebook and looked at the translated content. he did not say anything for a long time.

“captain, the tapping outside has stopped.”

“yes, what is it doing now?”

“i don’t know.”

duang!

a noise that was clearer and more intense than before was transmitted into the submarine.

“captain, it’s dismantling our soundproof tiles.”

“captain.”

duang!

there was another loud bang.

if the previous tapping was a threat, the loud bang now made their hearts tremble.

what should he do?

should he surface?

“send a message to the headquarters and report the situation we encountered.”

the captain took a deep breath and gave the order.

on tang rui’s side, he had just controlled the maintenance robot to tap down three soundproof tiles when a call came from the communication channel.

“osprey calling fish pond.”

“fish pond here. go ahead.”

“we’re almost there. please explain the current situation.”

“alright, the submarine is floating in the sea now. my maintenance robot has already removed its propeller. it is currently inoperative, and my maintenance robot is currently removing the submarine’s soundproof tiles.”

after tang rui finished speaking.

the osprey team, who had brought depth charges and anti-submarine torpedoes, fell silent.

the commander on the aircraft carrier island was also silent.

“osprey copies.”

after a while, the osprey team finally spoke.

but at this time, tang rui already saw their figures.

two j-15 aircraft.

one was equipped with depth charges, and the other was equipped with anti-submarine torpedoes.

they were all significant assets.

“the submarine is right below me. if you want to drop the bomb, just release it directly down,” tang rui said to the osprey team.

“there’s no need to drop the bombs. just use your maintenance robot to force the submarine to surface.”

“not dropping bombs?”

“yes, there’s no need.”

the moment tang rui heard that, he knew it was an answer he couldn’t accept.

“since you’re already here, just drop one.”

“osprey squad.”

“it’s new year’s. let’s go for it.”

“osprey squad.”

“it’s not easy for everyone. if you don’t drop the bomb, they’ll be too embarrassed to come up. let’s put ourselves in their shoes.”

the commander on the aircraft carrier island also smiled bitterly when he heard tang rui’s words.

“fisherman to osprey.”

“osprey.”

“release a depth charge. don’t hit the submarine.”

“understood, fisherman.”

the osprey team told tang rui about the news of dropping the depth charges.

“you can’t just blow it up directly. then throw it to the side. my position is directly above the submarine,” tang rui said to the osprey team.

“are you sure?”

“i’m sure. 1 just want to hear a sound, not sink the submarine.”

hearing tang rui’s guarantee, the osprey squad started to drop the bombs.

whoosh!

a round depth charge was deployed.

red lotus controlled the maintenance robot and quickly moved to the other side of the submarine, using the submarine as a shield to avoid the impact of the depth charge.

a few seconds later, a bulge suddenly appeared on the sea’s surface, followed by a white spray that shot into the sky.

boom!

a loud explosion echoed in the surrounding sea.

the people in the submarine were in despair.

they activated the active sonar and knew that a depth bomb had been dropped from above.

but the problem was that knowing was useless.

there was no motivation.

they couldn’t hide.

in the next moment, a massive explosion sounded.

the entire submarine began to shake violently. the keels creaked as if they were about to break.

after a while, the red warning light in the submarine flashed and everyone came back to their senses.

“report the news to the command center,” the captain said dejectedly. “then, radio silence and begin to surface. clear the data of the mainframe, clear the logbook, and lock the launch program of the submarine-launched missile.”

through the perspective of the maintenance robot, tang rui saw that water began to spray from both sides of the submarine and was immediately a little disappointed.

it was only one depth charge, and he couldn’t withstand it.

he hadn’t tested the submarine’s inner liner yet.

if they cut a hole in the shell, they would be scared to death.

after a while, the submarine floated on the surface of the water.

tang rui controlled the maintenance robot, dragging the huge propeller, and also came to the hull of the submarine.

bang!

the maintenance robot threw the propeller onto the hull of the submarine and returned to the water.

this scene stunned the osprey team’s pilots.

dismantling the propeller and then tossing it onto the hull of the submarine? it was like attacking their hearts instead of harming them.

“fish pond to fisherman. the submarine has surfaced, so i’ll continue the operation.”

“fisherman copies. thank you for your efforts.”

“i’m fine.”

tang rui had already seen the warship that was approaching from afar.

since the warship was about to arrive, there was no need for him to stay here.

after all, he did not have much combat power at the moment.

he pushed the control stick.

the fighter jet made an agile turn and sped toward the aircraft carrier..”
