“they arrived at the multi-purpose hall.

dozens of people were sitting below, and people kept coming in.

only this person had not arrived yet.

this was the foundation.

it didn’t matter if shen huoyi had been on the decline over the years or if he had been suppressed by cheng luoma.

however, there was nothing to say about his foundation.

“president tang, this is the disciple of our j-18 grandmaster, pang haiming.”

“hai ming, this is president tang.”

director liu introduced him to tang rui.

“hello, president tang. thank you for your help. my teacher is old and hasn’t been in good health recently, so she didn’t come over.

before he came, he even told me to apologize to you.”

pang haiming, who was in his forties, extended his hand and said gratefully.

“you don’t have to be so polite. actually, your design is already very good.

“i just made some small changes based on your design.”

tang rui also reached out his hand and shook hands with him.

“president tang’s help is like sending charcoal in the snow to us. we can’t be too grateful.”

tang rui discovered that he couldn’t outtalk him.

unexpectedly, not only did he know how to do scientific research, but he also knew how to socialize. he was a rare compound scientific research talent. after being flattered for a while, tang rui saw that most of the people had arrived, so he ended the formalities with them and walked up to the rostrum. “hello everyone, i’m tang rui. it’s my honor to be able to work with everyone. “we’re all involved in scientific research, so i won’t say anything else.

“next, i will begin to explain the vertical take-off and landing system and engine modification.

“if you have any questions, you can ask them after i’m done.”

after tang rui finished speaking, he began to explain his improvement plan for the vertical take-off and landing system.

compared to the original plan, the enhanced vtol system now had four jet jets.

he also made some improvements to the airflow layout below the body.

tang rui began to explain the aforementioned things.

the people below began to take notes, especially pang haiming. he didn’t even raise his head and just kept writing.

“alright, i’m done. you can ask questions now.”

after tang rui finished speaking, he took out the blanket and drank a mouthful of water.

“president tang, i would like to ask, what is the lift coefficient of the improved vertical take-off and landing system?” a researcher raised his hand.

“yesterday, the simulation results showed that the lift coefficient was 91%.” after tang rui finished speaking, a wave of gasps immediately sounded from below.

how long had it been?

it increased the lift coefficient from 75% to 91%. this was terrifying.

although it was only the result of a simulation, and the actual test results were still unknown, it was in itself, very scary.

“president tang, i want to ask how to solve the problem of invisibility.”

“all of them use the built-in grilles. they open when taking off and landing, and close when flying.”

“but president tang, if we do this, we’ll have to sacrifice the performance of the avionic system.”

“the avionic system can be simplified, and the load problem can be ignored. after all, nothing is perfect.

in order to retain the vertical take-off and landing function and stealth performance, other aspects had to be compromised.”

tang rui had no choice.

the body of the j-18 was right there.

continuously increasing its size wasn’t a viable option, right?

in that case… he had to re-calculate the airflow layout next…

some began to ask questions, to which tang rui answered all perfectly.

when the questioning finally ceased, he looked at pang haiming and director liu.

“president tang, we’ll change it however you want. we fully support your plan.”

director liu was the first to speak.

he was clear about this.

if you still grumbled when others were helping you, wouldn’t you be an idiot?

pang haiming also spoke up. not only did he agree with tang rui’s opinion, he even helped to flatter him.

there was no problem with the two managers.

even if the researchers below had any problems, they would not have any problems.

“alright, let’s start the modification according to this plan.”

tang rui clapped his hands.

next was the modification.

the body needed to be modified.

the avionic system that was missing had to be reinstalled.

the new engine had to be rebuilt.

it sounded troublesome.

if tang rui were to do it, even if he added those people from his company, it wouldn’t be finished in less than a month.

however, the person in charge of this project was shen huoyi. everything else aside, there was no problem with the manpower and equipment.

he took the j -18 apart.

the next day, they brought some accessories.

on the third day, when the people came, the modified meeh body was also delivered.

that efficiency…

tang rui was a little stunned.

in the next few days, he stayed in the hangar and directed everyone to work.

since the other party had already cooperated with him so fully, he was too embarrassed to leave.

in the blink of an eye, more than a week passed.

the modified j-18 was only missing the final engine.

director liu was so anxious that he made eighty calls a day.

the other side was being urged so much that they had no choice.

after the engine was completed, it was sent over by the military’s transport plane.

tang rui looked at the two engines unloaded from the transport plane, and the corners of his mouth twitched.

big brother was awesome.

when the final parts were in place, everyone immediately sent them to the hangar for installation.

three hours later, the modified j-18 was completely assembled.

cheers instantly erupted in the hangar.

for the past week, everyone had been working day and night.

basically, other than eating and sleeping, he spent the rest of his time working in the hangar.

now, it was finally done.

“don’t relax. start checking all the systems.”

dr. larson’s hair had thinned out a lot over the past few days.

but there was light in his eyes.

this was especially true when he looked at the modified j-18—his eyes which were covered in dark circles shone even brighter.

“president tang, thank you very much. if it weren’t for you, this project would really have been canceled.

“the j-18 was my teacher’s life’s work. he dreamed of seeing it fly.”

pang haiming also ran over agitatedly, holding tang rui’s hand, and said with a trembling voice.

“don’t worry, the j-18 will definitely become a sharp arrow for the air force.”

tang rui was still very confident.

even though the test had not been carried out yet, there were no major injuries.

at most, it would be a system problem.

that was a small problem.

for fighter jets, as long as they didn’t change the layout of the aircraft, the rest was a small problem.

the next test was on the ground.

he didn’t participate, though.

after being busy for more than a week, he needed to rest for a few days.

this group of people were workaholics.

he had to work overtime as well. he was exhausted.

although he did not participate in the ground test.

however, director liu still sent him data reports on time every day.

occasionally, there would be a few small problems.

they were all taken care of by the researchers.

as for the other serious flaws, he had not discovered them yet.

on this day…

tang rui was slacking in the office.

he and gao yang were playing games.

prince sally called.

it wasn’t to rush him to place an order, but to tell him that the yacht had already docked in hainan.

his subordinates were handling all kinds of procedures. when all the procedures were completed, they would send all kinds of documents to him. when tang rui heard that the yacht had arrived, he was also very happy. although it was not very useful, having a yacht was still very eye-catching. it just so happened that the winter in jinling was a little cold.

he could go to the seaside for the winter and go out to sea to play.

“by the way, my friend, how’s your research going?”

“all… the project’s going well.”

as tang rui answered, he hurriedly created a new folder on the computer..
