Becoming Their Guiding Spirit

# Chapter 33: This guy is definitely a man! Once their formation was broken, these gangsters were incredibly easy to deal with. Compared to a regular army, this rabble would turn into a disorganized mess as soon as they lost their rhythm, posing no threat. In fact, the group had overestimated them at the beginning.

When the last person fell amidst screams.

The large, open ground had truly become a river of blood. Texas and Franka, standing in the center of the battle’s maelstrom, were splattered with an unknown amount of blood, looking full of killing intent. If an ordinary person were to see such a scene, they would probably have fainted from fright.

But everyone present had seen their share of the ’world’. Even Sora, at the very least, was an Operator for Penguin Logistics and had gone on missions with her team. She had witnessed many ’grand scenes’ at a young age that ordinary people might never see in their entire lives.

”Done!”

Franka gave a thumbs-up to the group, but this thumbs-up was for Lucas Reeve.

She was now extremely interested in this person whose name she didn’t know. What Franka most desired now was for the mission to end quickly so she could go live in Jessica’s huge mansion and pester him until she got all his secrets out. Moreover, Franka suddenly understood why Jessica had reflexively covered her eyes when they were bathing together before.

This guy definitely shares Jessica’s vision, and he’s probably a man!!

Which means...

He had already seen her completely naked back then!!

At this thought, Franka gritted her teeth in anger. No one other than Liskarm and Jessica had ever seen her body, let alone a man. To think that she had been seen naked by a stranger just like that.

As for reporting him...

Forget it.

He had saved her life, at least, which proved his heart wasn’t in the wrong place. Setting everything else aside, someone had saved her life, and she was going to sell them out? What kind of person would that make her?

Lucas Reeve and Franka exchanged a look, then he pretended not to see.

”Mr. Reeve! Just now... Senior Franka’s gaze was so dangerous!!”

Jessica cried out from within the necklace.

”My days ahead might not be so peaceful...”

Lucas Reeve said helplessly.

Jessica hurriedly retorted: ”No way!! Senior Franka is a good person. She would never gossip about Mr. Reeve’s situation, let alone tell the company. Besides, you saved Senior Franka’s life, Mr. Reeve. If it weren’t for you, Senior Franka would have likely been seriously injured.”

The hastily explaining Jessica was just too adorable.

She was afraid that Lucas Reeve might misunderstand that Franka would move against him and just leave her to find some other cute girl.

”Wow!! Jessica-chan, you were amazing just now!!!”

Sora, like a best friend, hooked her arm around Lucas Reeve’s, her eyes shining with adoration.

”Whoosh, so many blades I could barely see flew out, and they blocked all the bullets.”

”Well, you were by my side. It would have been dangerous if I didn’t go all out.”

Lucas Reeve said casually, but his words once again brought a faint blush to Sora’s cheeks.

And Jessica started to wail.

”Wah!! Mr. Reeve, how could you say something like that to Sora-chan! She’ll get the wrong idea!!”

Lucas Reeve noticed...

Jessica’s shy and socially awkward problem seemed to have improved slightly.

At least when she was talking to him, her previous personality was barely visible.

Indeed, every social introvert has the potential to be a social butterfly. It’s just that a social butterfly is a social butterfly in front of everyone, treating all equally, while a social introvert only transforms into one in front of people they are incredibly familiar with.

A group of people laughing and talking amongst a pile of corpses, all of them strikingly beautiful—this bizarre scene was like a portrait of hell to the many onlookers from other gangs in the Wastes. It would probably give some of them nightmares.

A portrait of seven beauties frolicking on a mountain of corpses.

The other gangs in the Wastes were mostly terrified.

The biggest gang in recent years was completely slaughtered by just seven people??

None of the other gangs dared to provoke them. They all locked their doors, afraid that these she-devils, their bloodlust not yet sated from killing one group, would slaughter their gang next. Who could they complain to then? The Lungmen Guard Department?

”Mmm~ But now there’s a problem.”

Exusiai frowned, troubled.

She had just recovered from her CPU overload state, and even now, her head was still a bit dizzy.

”The regular members are useless. Where could the core mission target, code-named ’Mister,’ be? What if he got scared and ran away?”

Just then.

The phones of all Penguin Logistics members suddenly beeped.

In the group chat.

A person with a penguin avatar sent a message.

[Girls, perhaps you could take a look under the floor of the house you were in earlier for any clues.]

”Eek! It’s from the boss.”

Exusiai was the first to see it.

”Under the floor?”

Franka quickly jogged over to the ruins of the exploded house. She brandished her Thermite Blade again, and with a flurry of incredibly dense sword flashes, the slightly scorched floor split open. Before everyone’s eyes, a large metal door embedded in the ground was revealed.
