Becoming Their Guiding Spirit

# Chapter 24: This is just too cute!!! ”Hahaha! Jessica-chan, did your classmate from school really call out her roommate’s boyfriend’s name in her sleep?”

Lucas’s storytelling ability was top-notch. Although 90% of it was true, there was some embellishment, and these interesting stories naturally made the girls laugh non-stop.

Sora found that chatting with Jessica was indeed a very interesting thing. The thought that Jessica would be leaving Lungmen and returning to Columbia in a few days filled her with some reluctance.

Suddenly.

Jessica’s aura changed slightly.

The deep, heroic spirit suddenly vanished.

Sora might not have noticed it right away.

But as a combatant, the wolf-girl, Texas, caught it immediately and looked at Jessica with some confusion.

Being watched by so many people.

Jessica, who had finally prepared herself mentally, blushed instantly. For a moment, she was at a loss, her eyes darting around as if the whole world was spinning.

In the necklace.

Lucas sighed and covered his forehead.

”Mmm~ Um.. um....”

Jessica was too red-faced to speak, her delicate and cute appearance making one want to just pinch her cheeks.

Back to this state again?

Sora was a little puzzled.

Although she didn’t know why, in Sora’s heart, Jessica always had two personalities. One was cool and aloof but very talkative, and the other was extremely cute and a shy little girl, making you want to reach out and rub her cheeks like crazy.

These two extreme personalities were actually in one person.

*Ooh~*

However, before Sora could speak, Exusiai, with stars in her eyes, had already pounced on Jessica.

”Mmm mmm mmm~~ This is just too cute!!”

”Jessica-chan, how can you be so cute!”

”Join Penguin Logistics, okay? Let’s go on missions together!”

Exusiai hugged Jessica tightly, rubbing her own cheek against Jessica’s slightly chubby and cute face. Sora, on the side, was full of excitement. She found that Miss Jessica was truly a treasure. If Jessica could join Penguin Logistics, her cool and aloof side could go shopping and watch movies with her, full of boyfriend energy, and her shy and cute side could be her best sister! They could be idols together!!

Ugh~ Who wouldn’t want a treasured friend who can be both a cute bestie and has boyfriend energy!!

”Eek~~(⊙x⊙;)”

”Mr. Reeve, help me~~”

Being hugged by the social butterfly Exusiai, Jessica finally couldn’t hold it together anymore and cried out in her heart.

”Mr. Reeve!! I really can’t handle Miss Exusiai!!”

Lucas: ”Then should I take over for you?”

”Okay... n-NO!! No way!!”

Jessica, who was just about to agree, suddenly thought of something and frantically refused.

If they switched now, wouldn’t that mean Miss Exusiai was hugging Mr. Reeve? Although the body was still hers, the dominant soul would be Mr. Reeve, which was equivalent to her hugging Mr. Reeve! No way! I haven’t even hugged Mr. Reeve yet!!

”Hey... I can hear you loud and clear...”

Lucas was a bit speechless.

Jessica: ”Aah!! Σ(っ °Д °;)っ, I forgot!!”

Just as Jessica wanted to break free but didn’t know how, and also didn’t want to hand over control of her body to Lucas for ’power-leveling’, this extreme dilemma made her very flustered, with no solution.

Suddenly.

*Ring, ring, ring~

The phone rang. It was like a life-saving straw. Jessica quickly picked up the phone.

It was Franka calling.

”Hello, Senior Franka?”

”Are you free now? Come back for a bit.”

Jessica breathed a sigh of relief.

”Um... Senior Franka might have something for me, so I have to go now, Sora-chan, Miss Exusiai, Miss Texas, Miss Croissant...”

Sora was a little disappointed. They had only been chatting for an hour, was it over so soon...

”Um... if you’re free tonight, would you like to have dinner together? Jessica-chan.”

Sora asked with a bit of shyness.

”Yes!”

—Ten minutes later—

Jessica returned to the hotel entrance.

Franka and Liskarm were already there waiting for her.

”Hey~ Sorry to bother you, little cutie Jessica.”

Franka smiled faintly, clapped her hands, and looked a bit apologetic.

”N-no...”

Jessica waved her hands repeatedly.

”I should be... thanking Senior Franka for saving me. Otherwise, I probably still wouldn’t know what to do...”

”Hm?”

Franka was taken aback. Although she didn’t know what Jessica was talking about, she was too lazy to ask.

”Is something the matter?”

Franka said: ”It’s like this. The MSR company commission is over, right? Normally, after completing a commission, we get a week’s vacation. Just now, the company received a new commission with a very high price, and the client specifically requested our help. So... we have to work overtime.”

”Specifically requested?”

Jessica was stunned.

”It seems we don’t know anyone in Lungmen, do we?”

”We do.”

”Didn’t you just give a statement yesterday?”

”A statement?”

Jessica suddenly remembered and took a deep breath.

”The Lungmen Guard Department?!!”

”Yes, but the commission wasn’t issued in the name of the L.G.D., but in a personal capacity. By Superintendent Swire of the Lungmen Guard Department.”

”Huh?! That loud-voiced tiger lady?”
