Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1000: Chapter 994: Feeling like beating someone up_1

Jing Xin wanted to slap Jing Yuan in this state, but in the end, he held back and returned to his army post.

“Brother, I will not give up. I will wait for you.” Looking at Jing Xin walking away, Jing Yuan felt the pain as if her heart was bleeding. Had she done wrong? No, she hadn’t. She just desired this man, she had been able to sleep with Jing Peng – her “second brother”, so she believed she could be with Jing Xin too. She thought Jing Xin was just angry with her right now, probably because she had upset Fang Xiu, yes, that must be it. Once Jing Xin was no longer angry, he would love her as he did before.

With this thought, Jing Yuan wiped the tears from her face, adjusted her emotions, and headed home. She was determined to find a way to make everyone accept her.

Jing Yuan was a bit out of sorts now, rationalizing that if things could happen between her and Jing Peng, who are siblings, then it’s possible with Jing Xin too. This line of thinking led her into a trap she had unwittingly set for herself. After sleeping with Jing Peng, she believed that she could do this with anyone she loved or fancied.

Jing Yuan did not realize that her misunderstandings were the result of Jing Peng’s manipulations.

This kind of desire should not exist between relatives. What she felt for Jing Xin was only what she believed it to be. Jing Xin never harbored any other thoughts about her.

“You’re back?” Jing Peng looked at the preoccupied Jing Yuan.

“Second Brother.” The sudden voice startled Jing Yuan, only to find it was Jing Peng.

“Where have you been?” Jing Peng asked Jing Yuan with a gloomy face.

“I didn’t go anywhere. I was just thinking of buying a new headdress, but when I went out, I found out that I had forgotten to bring money with me. I thought I’d just come back and not bother looking, but then I figured since I was already out, I might as well take a walk before coming back. Second Brother, did you need me for something?” Jing Yuan did not want to tell Jing Peng that she had gone to see Jing Xin, so she made up an excuse.

“Nothing, I just didn’t see you at home when I got back, so I wanted to ask. Let’s go out again, I’ll buy you something nice. Let’s go to the department store.” Jing Peng advanced a step, took her arm, and began walking.

“Second Brother, I want to rest. I don’t want to go out.” Jing Yuan was in no mood to go out now, she needed to figure out how to make Jing Xin accept her.

“It’s fine, once you start shopping you won’t feel tired anymore.” Jing Peng knew women well; they often said ‘no’ when they meant ‘yes’, he knew Jing Yuan was just making excuses.

“Second Brother, I don’t want to go shopping right now. I want to eat. Let’s go out for a meal.” This morning, Jing Yuan had skipped breakfast to intercept Jing Xin and now she was hungry. What she really wanted was to drink, but being around Jing Peng, she was afraid of a repeat of the last incident, so she didn’t mention her desire to drink.

“Okay, let’s go out for a meal.” For Jing Peng, it made no difference whether they were shopping or eating.

One should pamper a woman; if she’s feeling upset, a shopping spree guarantees happiness. This was the impression of women given to him by his previous relationships.

The siblings found a small restaurant and ordered two dishes. Seeing Jing Yuan in this state, Jing Peng ordered a bottle of wine when the waiter left. After all, sometimes opportunities must be created. Did she think she could just refuse his advances? That was too naive.
