Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 998: Chapter 992 Jing Xin’s Heart_1

Chapter 15

Far away in S Province, Qin Yu and the others were packing their clothes to go home for the New Year. Qin Xue and Qin Yun had agreed to take the night bus home, so they would get there in the afternoon when there was still transportation to get home.

After returning from his mission, Jing Xin wanted to go to the city to see if his wife and son had returned. Yet, he was disappointed by the outcome. An employee Fangfang told him that there had been no recent news about Fang Xiu.

Yu Xiu also said that he had no news of Fang Xiu, making Jing Xin really disappointed. However, that was something he had expected, knowing that despite Fang Xiu appearing soft and gentle on the surface, she had a resilient inner strength.

“Mr. Jing, where are you heading?” After preparing his luggage, Qin Yu happened to see Jing Xin across his doorway and he asked.

“I just returned from a mission and thought of checking whether Fang Xiu and our son had returned yet. But it seems that she’s still mad at me, there’s no sign of her yet, probably she’s not cooled off.” Jing Xin had been lost in thoughts and hadn’t noticed that he had walked up to Qin Yu’s place.

He actually didn’t need to pass by Qin Yu’s store to return to the base, but for whatever reason, he found himself here.

Now, seeing the luggage at Qin Yu’s feet, he felt a pang of melancholy. Everyone was going home for a family reunion during the New Year, while he was estranged from his wife and child. It was all his fault. If he had been a bit more vigilant, he wouldn’t have fallen into Jing Yuan’s trap. He was so careless and that’s how the current situation unfolded. He would do anything if his wife and son returned, even if it cost him his life.

After this period, he came to realize the extent of his torment. While on missions, he could force himself to not think about anything, focusing solely on completing the tasks assigned from above. However, the moment he had free time, he would think back to the sight of his wife catching him in bed with Jing Yuan, a memory that was unbearably painful.

“Mr. Jing, I have no right as an outsider to comment on the problems between you and Fang Xiu, and I am in no place to judge who was right or wrong. However, as a man, if you can’t protect your wife and child, you might as well let them go and find their own happiness.

I know my words could be harsh but wouldn’t it be better than the two of you being bound together and suffering? Don’t you think that sounds reasonable?” Qin Yu said calmly.

In fact, he deliberately said these things, intending to make Jing Xin clear about what he truly wanted.

Only by understanding his own heart would he know what to do. Qin Yu could see that Jing Xin and Fang Xiu had feelings for each other and their marital bond was really strong. He never expected things to end up like this, especially involving his own sister. Even though Jing Xin was wronged, it was his negligence that led to this situation, wasn’t it?

So, Qin Yu was only trying to prick Jing Xin’s conscience. He wanted him to feel the pain because he was truly in love with Fang Xiu. Once a man truly falls in love with a woman, how could he let go so easily? Even if it hurts him, he won’t let go. His pain probably doesn’t even compare to half of Fang Xiu’s.

“Qin Yu, what should I do to have her back by my side?” Jing Xin didn’t mention about letting go of Fang Xiu, but instead asked Qin Yu what he should do to bring her back.

“Heart, ask your heart.” Lately, Qin Yu had been pondering what his sister had said, which was why he was observing people’s expressions and actions to understand them better. He realized just how expressive people could be.

But at the moment, he could only see the pain in Jing Xin that he was trying so desperately to hide. Qin Yu didn’t know why he wanted to help him, but seeing Jing Xin in pain made him feel a sense of pressure.
