Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 967: Chapter 961: Grandparents Who Look Alike_1

Qin Xue looked at the flashlight from this era, a style that no longer existed in her time. It used three D batteries, something she had never seen before in her time. She had the fortune of seeing one in her grandfather’s collection when she was a child and had even played with it. So, she understood it; she just didn’t expect that the light it emitted would be yellow and somewhat blurry.

Therefore, she was really not accustomed to looking at a light that did not shine far. In her time, there were street lamps everywhere, but here, many villages did not even have electricity, so having a flashlight was already quite good.

Jingtao was bundled up in a coat in the pushcart, so there was no need to worry about him. However, Fang Xiu was pregnant and could not afford a fall, so Qin Xue kept a close eye on her, fearing that she might trip.

In the end, they made it home safely and without incident. Qin Xue looked at the mud-brick house, which was quite old. However, all the houses they passed along the way were like this, none seemingly superior to the others. She wondered about the standard of living in this village.

After knocking on the door and following her family inside, she found that the courtyard was not too small. How fortunate, there was a well in the yard, which meant they didn’t have to carry water like characters in the shows she had watched. This saved time and offered a certain level of safety.

“Sis-in-law, mom, dad, we’re back,” Qin Lei called out to his sis-in-law who opened the door and then yelled into the room to his parents.

“Qin Lei and the others must be back, they must have picked up Qin Xue and her family,” Mrs. Qin said to her husband after hearing their son’s shouts.

“Hmm, let’s go and have a look,” Mr. Qin watched his wife and agreed with her.

“Alright, I’m going to see those two great-grandchildren of mine,” said Mrs. Qin.

As for Mr. Qin, he just glanced at his wife without saying anything and slowly followed her out of the living room.

“Xue’er, those two are our grandparents,” Chu Molin said to Qin Xue softly as he feared she might not know who they were and wouldn’t address them.

“Chu Molin, they look exactly like my grandparents from my past life. But how is this possible?” Qin Xue was shocked to see the elderly couple who walked towards her. The sight was bittersweet. Shouldn’t her grandparents be quite young? Why did they look so old?

“Xue’er, they’re coming over,” Chu Molin said. It was unexpected for him to hear his wife’s words. Wasn’t it said that she wasn’t from this world? Then why did she keep running into people she recognized from her past life? This left him feeling puzzled.

“Grandpa, grandma, I’ve missed you so much,” Qin Xue bursted into tears. Regardless of whether they were her grandparents from a previous life or not, their appearance was the same, so they were her grandparents, the grandparents of Qin Xue.

“Little Xue, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Mrs. Qin did not expect that her adult granddaughter would cry upon seeing them.

“It’s just that I haven’t seen you or grandpa in such a long time, and I really miss you,” Qin Xue responded, ignoring the others around and hugging Mrs. Qin as she spoke tearfully.

“You’re a mother now, why are you still so childish? Aren’t you afraid that others will laugh at you?” Mrs. Qin never thought that her granddaughter would become so clingy after becoming a mother. She had never been like this before. However, it softened Mrs. Qin’s heart. After all, wasn’t this the child she had loved and raised from a young age? Even if they weren’t blood-related, she was still brought up by the Qins, and she was their granddaughter.

As long as her family didn’t speak, who knew the siblings weren’t of their bloodline? She believed that these two children were good-hearted and would continue to treat their adoptive parents kindly even if they knew the truth.
