Officer! You Can Get a First-class Merit Awards Just by Eating Melon Seeds?

Chapter 34, Case D+, [Human Oil]!With that cry of his, he hooked everyone’s curiosity.

The person had been dead for so many years; what could possibly be in the coffin worth coveting?

It’s not like it’s some ancient noble family. Curious.

”Alright, open the coffin,” the police officer urged.

The coffin lid was very heavy; a few ordinary people wouldn’t be able to lift it at all.

But Uncle Wang seemed to borrow strength from somewhere. As soon as Chen Mo put his hand on it, the coffin lid was moved aside.

Indeed, one should never underestimate the elderly.

Just as he was thinking this, a smell of blood mixed with the stench of a corpse wafted out from inside the coffin. The odor was extremely pungent, making the three of them cough uncontrollably.

When he saw the situation inside the coffin clearly, Chen Mo’s expression darkened. The scene erupted in a series of terrified gasps.

”Ah!”

”Holy shit!”

The crowd watching the spectacle turned and ran if they were faint of heart. Even those who were bolder shrank back.

Uncle Wang wiped the sweat from his forehead and turned to look at Chen Mo. His expression was somewhat bewildered; this was not what he had expected.

In his anticipation, if something were missing, it would just be the urn. But not only was the urn not missing, there was an extra female corpse!

”Chen Mo, is it that I’ve been under too much pressure since retirement? Why do I see another corpse in there?”

Who could have such bad luck, running into a corpse every time they watch a spectacle and getting taken to the police station for interrogation? It definitely wasn’t him. He must have seen it wrong.

”Is there even pressure after retirement?” Chen Mo directly shattered Uncle Wang’s delusion.

He then turned his gaze back to the deceased inside the coffin. The deceased was female, lying flat in the coffin, pressing down on the urn of Liu Jun’s father.

The state of the corpse was abnormally black, as if someone had smeared coal on it. The skin was also extremely loose, with the facial skin shriveled and bunched up.

It was like a three-hundred-pound person suddenly losing weight down to one hundred. Looking further down, the body was in the same condition; it was as if a necessary component inside the deceased was missing.

He looked thoughtful. Oil? It felt like the fat inside the body had been extracted.

”Hey! Stay back, do not touch the crime scene.” After reacting, the police officer immediately signaled for Chen Mo and the others to step back.

He walked over and tried to pull Chen Mo away. But before he could grab him, he saw an ID. Upon opening it, his expression changed, and he let out a sigh of relief. So, they were colleagues.

”Call Captain Long at the Municipal Bureau and notify them to come over.” Chen Mo took back his ID and looked at the corpse again.

Currently, a few conclusions can be drawn. The deceased is female; although the skin is shriveled, based on her clothing and appearance, she should be a young woman.

And since she was dumped into the coffin, it can basically be confirmed that she was murdered and then her body was dumped here. Choosing such a place is indeed a good idea.

But the murderer was not lucky enough; Liu Jun, who hadn’t returned for ten years, suddenly came back to pay respects to his father the day after the body was dumped.

...

— — Woo-wah, woo-wah. The sound of sirens was getting closer.

Long Hao got out of the car, and after taking only two steps, he tripped over a small mound of dirt and stumbled.

He steadied himself, put his hat on his head, and then looked around. His vision was filled with mounds of dirt where people were buried.

He took a deep breath. Chen Mo’s methods were getting wilder and wilder; he was even watching spectacles in a graveyard!

That would be one thing, but he actually sent someone to notify him that a corpse had been discovered. Did it even need to be discovered? Weren’t there dead people everywhere in this place?

”What’s the situation?” Just as the words left his mouth, his gaze fell upon the corpse with loose skin inside the coffin.

His temple throbbed. He waved his hand, and several forensic doctors jumped down.

”Are you asking why I came, or are you asking what situation I discovered?” Chen Mo climbed out of the pit and looked at Long Hao with a smile.

”I saw him here, so I knew why you came.” Long Hao turned his head to look at Uncle Wang on the other side.

”Little Liu, we’re so familiar with each other, we don’t need handcuffs, right?”

”There are many neighbors from the residential compound over there; it won’t sound good if word gets out.” Uncle Wang had a pleading expression on his face.

”Alright, I’ll grant you that privilege as an old customer.” Saying this, Little Liu took Uncle Wang and Liu Jun away.

He withdrew his gaze. ”There are some circumstances, but let’s wait for the forensic doctors to give the preliminary Autopsy results first.”

Long Hao nodded, and the two waited above. A moment later, the results came out.

”The deceased is female, time of death within 48 hours, with five knife wounds on the body, located on the head and limbs.”

”These knife wound locations are theoretically not fatal, but combined with the skin condition of the deceased, we suspect that the deceased’s entire body fat was artificially extracted.”

”This should be the cause of death for the deceased.”

Fat was extracted? What is this stuff used for? Long Hao’s expression showed confusion.

Killing someone just to extract their fat?

”The perpetrator’s behavior is indeed difficult to understand.”

”The current known situation is that the perpetrator is at least a doctor who knows how to extract human fat. I looked at the wounds on the deceased; the knife work is very skilled, they are an old hand.”

From the skilled knife work to the extraction of fat, this is not something an ordinary person could do.

In later generations, there are beauty salons that perform liposuction for weight loss. But that is twenty years from now; in this era, liposuction for weight loss is too avant-garde. Even if it existed, it would be too rare. Plastic surgeons can be ruled out.

Long Hao nodded: ”I think so too; after all, liposuction involves surgery, which an ordinary person cannot do.”

Then he hesitated: ”Should we first determine one thing...”

Before he could finish his sentence, Chen Mo knew what he was thinking.

”It shouldn’t be a hospital burying the person here to shirk responsibility for a surgical error.”

”The cost-effectiveness is too low. A surgical error is just an error. If there really were such a full-body fat extraction surgery, with such high risk, there would definitely be a liability waiver.”

”If you are worried, you can check which medical conditions require full-body fat extraction and which hospitals can do it.”

Long Hao shook his head; he was also more inclined to believe that the deceased was intentionally murdered, not due to any accident.

The deceased’s time of death was only 48 hours ago, and the body was immediately dumped into the coffin. If anyone said this wasn’t prepared in advance, not even a dog would believe it!

With so many grave mounds, why was it dumped specifically into the coffin of Liu Jun’s father? It must be that they knew in advance that Liu Jun hadn’t returned for many years.

”Following this line of reasoning, our only clue is that the perpetrator is a doctor.”

The scope is really too large. There is simply no directional clue.

Chen Mo certainly understood this point.

”Actually, there is one point that counts as a direction.”

”The wounds on the deceased!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the few forensic doctors who were conducting an in-depth investigation froze and simultaneously stopped what they were doing.

They turned their bodies to the side, revealing the five wounds on the deceased. At the same time, their gazes fell upon the wounds of the deceased.

Their job as forensic doctors is to provide clues to the investigators through the corpse of the deceased.

But... the wounds were still those same wounds. No matter how they looked at them, they couldn’t see anything special.

”Brother Mo, do you mean to say that there are still clues on the wounds?”
