I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

100: A global phenomenon! The era of the Accelerator God has arrived!Just as the entirety of Japanese society was plunged into a maelstrom of fervor, confusion, and division by the Prime Minister’s declaration.

One of the instigators of the event, Lin Zhi, was leisurely strolling through Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s busiest intersections, like an unconcerned tourist.

Giant electronic screens surrounded him, repeatedly playing Prime Minister Aoi Shōta’s earth-shattering national address, followed by scenes of various street celebrations and protests.

The clamor, fervent slogans, and flashing neon lights intertwined into a chaotic backdrop.

Lin Zhi had his hands in his trench coat pockets, looking up slightly at the Prime Minister’s solemn and resolute face on the screen, a hint of genuine surprise appearing on his exceptionally handsome face for the first time.

”Tsk... truly... an unexpectedly decisive move,” he murmured, a trace of playful admiration in his tone.

”I originally thought they would desperately try to cover it up, attempting to maintain that ridiculous facade of normalcy... I never expected them to choose the most extreme path—flipping the table directly and openly admitting the existence of gods.”

His gaze seemed to penetrate the screen, seeing deeper, more fundamental changes.

In his perception, as the Japanese government officially, with the full power of the nation, openly declared the ”real existence of gods” and guided the populace to believe.

An invisible, intangible, yet vast and mighty torrent of collective consciousness was gathering and surging over this island nation!

This power of faith, condensed from the ”belief,” ”desire,” and ”worship” of tens of millions of people, even if only a fraction of them.

Like millions of invisible chisels, it was violently impacting and weakening the fragile and ancient barrier enveloping the entire Earth.

That barrier, formed by ancient covenants and rules, used to prevent the direct descent of higher-dimensional beings!

”Faith is the key, cognition is the door...” Lin Zhi’s eyes shimmered with a faint light that saw into the essence of rules.

”Such a large-scale, high-intensity collective recognition and directed faith... it’s like on this already crumbling barrier.

They forcibly tore open a rift belonging to their eight million gods... and this rift is still expanding.”

He gently shook his head, a meaningful arc curving at the corner of his mouth:

”Well, now... Pandora’s Box has been opened by their own hands. The speed of the Divine Age’s descent will likely be much faster than I anticipated.”

His gaze shifted from the screen, sweeping over the crowd caught in a kind of collective unconscious revelry.

Most passersby wore expressions mixed with shock, pride, and even a fervent sense of ”we are the chosen people of the gods.”

They discussed animatedly, as if overnight, their ordinary lives had connected with mythological epics, making them noble descendants of gods.

”See! I told you our Yamato people are special!”

”Amaterasu Omikami is protecting us!”

”What are those monsters! Our gods are about to descend!”

However, beneath this boisterous revelry, Lin Zhi keenly caught other subtle sounds.

On a street corner, young people frowned, scrolling on their phones, whispering to their companions:

”This is too crazy... how is this possible?”

”Huh? Gods? I’m more concerned about whether the train will be late...”

”Hmph, gods? They’d have to pay taxes too, right?”

An old man looked worriedly at the cheering crowd, muttering: ”Gods really exist... will it really be a good thing?” Even more people looked fearful, hurrying along, wanting only to leave this troublesome place quickly.

Some people looked fearful, hurrying along, wanting only to leave this troublesome place quickly.

”Heh... fervent believers, sober skeptics, and fearful lambs...”

Lin Zhi, like a calm observer, analyzed this ukiyo-e, ”All facets of human nature are being rapidly catalyzed... truly... it’s getting more and more interesting.”

He could feel that this nation was transforming into a colossal reactor, where faith, fear, hope, despair... all kinds of extreme emotional energies were intensely reacting and fermenting, creating unprecedented ”fertile ground” for the descent of certain beings.

”It seems... I need to hurry.” Lin Zhi withdrew his gaze, his figure silently blending into the surging crowd... The news that the Japanese government officially acknowledged the real existence of gods and declared the Imperial Family to be divine descendants.

It was like dropping a depth charge into a calm lake, its ripples and massive waves breaking through the island nation’s borders in an extremely short time.

It instantly ignited a global public opinion tsunami via the internet!

Social media platforms, news website comment sections, and forums worldwide were instantly flooded with keywords like ”Japan,” ”gods,” and ”supernatural.”

Netizens from different countries and cultural backgrounds plunged into fierce debates and unbelievable clamor.

Many who upheld rationalism and scientific spirit reacted with extreme absurdity and doubt:

”Crazy! Absolutely insane! A modern national government actually uses an official press conference to announce that ’gods’ exist? @ueel”

”Has this country been scared witless by the recent monster incidents? Are they desperately trying anything?”

”No, you’ve got it backward. It’s precisely because it’s desperate, with social order on the brink of collapse, that it would come up with such a foolish move to re-cohere people’s hearts, or even intimidate neighboring countries, using divine authority, right? How pathetic and ridiculous!”

”Hahaha, next, are they going to announce the formation of a ’Kamikaze Special Attack Unit’? History truly is a cycle!”

These comments were full of sarcasm and bewilderment, viewing it as the Japanese government’s desperate struggle in the face of an unprecedented crisis.

A detachment from reality, a turn towards mysticism, and even a pathetic summoning of the specter of its militaristic history.

However, in stark contrast to these doubts, an extremely large number of people worldwide held an ”I knew it” or even ”thrilled” attitude towards this news.

In this era of highly developed networks and lightning-fast information dissemination, countless blurry yet chilling mobile videos or photos had already circulated on the dark web and even public platforms.

The tragedies in Tokyo and Hiroshima, Japan, were merely the latest and most conclusive evidence, but by no means isolated incidents.

Thus, under related topics on major platforms, a massive number of ”eyewitness reports” and ”personal experiences” appeared:

”I knew it!!! I said it years ago! Last year when I was camping in the forests of Ireland, I really saw a little dwarf less than a meter tall, wearing ragged green clothes, with cunning eyes. When I posted the video, no one believed me, saying it was special effects! Now look! Who dares to call me a liar?!”

”+1! In the wilderness of Iceland, I saw a self-aware, flickering orb of light! It even followed my car for a while!”

”What’s that compared to mine! My aunt lives on the edge of the Brazilian rainforest, and she says there have always been legends of spirits that imitate human voices to lure travelers! Before, everyone thought they were just legends, but now... the more I think about it, the more terrifying it gets!”

”Yes, yes, yes! And those rumors about USOs! There must be intelligent races under the deep sea that we don’t know about!”

”So... myths, legends, and folk tales might not be groundless? It’s just that ’science’ couldn’t explain them before, and now... the lid is about to come off?”

These comments quickly converged into a torrent, a global ”consensus” on the existence of supernatural phenomena seemed to be rapidly forming.

Many people began to re-examine their previously inexplicable experiences, connecting events once dismissed as hallucinations, illusions, or hoaxes with Japan’s official announcement of divine spokespersons.

The entire world seemed to be split into two parts:

One part still adhered to the existing scientific paradigm, viewing Japan’s statement as a political farce and mass hysteria.

While the other part firmly believed that a real world hidden for thousands of years—an ”Underworld” filled with gods, monsters, spirits, and supernatural powers
