I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

81: Hatchery!Sato Ryuichi led the fully armed elite squad of the Special Adjustment Department, traversing the scorched earth ruins at maximum speed.

They arrived at the location where the ”Meat Spheres” had been reported in the previous communication—a spot not far from the projected center of the devastating explosion.

The sight before them instantly made all the team members hold their breath, a chill climbing up their spines.

This had clearly been a temporary, moderately sized frontline rescue camp.

Collapsed military tents, scattered medical equipment, syringes, bandages, broken saline bottles, burnt and deformed communication devices, and various daily necessities shredded by the shockwave lay everywhere.

Compressed food packaging, water bottles, sleeping bags... all testified to the presence of extensive rescue personnel activity here.

However, at this moment, the camp was deserted and utterly silent.

Replacing the signs of human activity was another form of ”life,” one that was utterly evil and hair-raising!

They saw that the open ground of the camp, the remnants of the tents, and even the twisted medical equipment were densely covered with countless massive, pulsating, flesh-colored spheres!

The surface of these ”Meat Spheres” was covered by a tough, semi-transparent outer wall, seemingly a mixture of biological membrane and solidified fat, and shadows could vaguely be seen wriggling deep inside.

Their size was astonishing; the smallest was taller than a person, while the largest ones reached four or five meters in diameter, sprawling on the ground like small mounds!

Most unnerving of all, every Meat Sphere was pulsating synchronously in a slow, powerful rhythm!

”Thump... Thump... Thump...”

The deep, heavy heartbeat sound wasn’t transmitted through the air but directly through ground vibrations, entering the soles of the team members’ tactical boots and clearly conducting into their bones and internal organs!

It was as if countless massive hearts were beating simultaneously on this cursed land!

The air was thick with a pungent, sickly sweet stench, a mix of blood, decaying protein, and the indescribable biological odor of hatching!

”My God...” a team member muttered subconsciously, his voice trembling uncontrollably. The scene before them exceeded the scope of any recorded Contaminated Entities or anomalous creatures!

”captain! Look over there!” another team member suddenly whispered in alarm, his trembling finger pointing toward several Meat Spheres at the edge of the camp.

They saw that the outer walls of those few Meat Spheres had already ruptured, as if some biological egg sac had been torn open from the inside.

The ruptured edges were coated with sticky, stringy, dark yellow fluid, and the inside of the spheres... was completely empty!

Only residue remained: stains resembling dried nutrient fluid and a few strands of fragmented tissue remnants whose original form was unrecognizable!

The ”things” inside... had already emerged!

Recalling the strange humanoid monster—extremely fast and capable of human speech—mentioned in the last communication from the Name of a creature Squad.

A terrifying deduction instantly formed in the minds of all the team members—

These massive Meat Spheres were, fundamentally, a hatchery!

The missing rescue personnel... had likely become the ”nutrients” for hatching these terrifying monsters, or perhaps... they themselves were the modified Mother Bodies!

And at this moment, a significant number of monsters had already burst forth from the spheres!

”All personnel, maintain vigilance! Retreat! Keep a safe distance from all Meat Spheres!”

Sato Ryuichi’s voice was slightly hoarse from extreme shock and anger, but he forcefully maintained his composure and gave the stern command.

”Report the situation here to Headquarters immediately! Request support from the highest-level Biohazard Disposal Unit! Hurry!”

He stared intently at the massive, still-pulsating Meat Spheres, especially the empty ones, his gaze utterly icy.

The situation with the Name of a creature Squad, the bizarre transformation of the rescue camp, and these unprecedented hatching Meat Spheres—all the clues linked together, pointing to a chilling fact:

This disaster was far more than just a simple explosion and radiation contamination.

Hidden behind it was an extremely evil, unknown force capable of transforming humans into terrifying biological weapons on a large scale and with high efficiency!

And these Meat Spheres were its ”armory”!

Sato Ryuichi’s urgent orders still echoed in the air. The team members were nervously trying to establish contact with the rear command while cautiously putting distance between themselves and the massive, pulsating Meat Spheres.

Just within this deathly tense atmosphere—

”Pthhht—!”

An extremely clear, viscous, snapping sound, as if some biological membrane was being forcibly ripped open from the inside, suddenly came from the center of the camp! The noise was jarringly loud in the silent ruins, instantly seizing everyone’s attention!

”!” Sato Ryuichi and all the team members’ hearts leaped, and their gazes, as if drawn by a magnet, sharply turned toward the source of the sound!

They saw that on one of the Meat Spheres, roughly three meters in diameter and pulsating most violently, a massive, one-meter-long tear had been ripped open in its tough, semi-transparent outer wall! Viscous, dark yellow fluid, oozing a strong stench, was gushing out of the slit!

Even more horrifying—

Deep within that tear, shadows wriggled!

A massive, cloudy, bloodshot, non-human eye, its pupil contracted into a vertical black slit.

It was staring intently through the fissure at the group of fully armed intruders outside, with a cold, hungry sense of scrutiny!
