I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

75: Fratricide? Lin Zhi has arrived!Soon, everything was carried out rapidly according to Yamada Toshio’s orders.

Communication signals were cut, roads were blocked, and news media adopted a unified narrative.

The entire Hiroshima disaster zone seemed to be covered by an invisible shield, and the outside world could only see images and news carefully filtered by the authorities.

Yamada Toshio stood on a high ground outside the temporary command post, gazing at the direction of the explosion center through binoculars.

A massive crater several kilometers in diameter had formed there, and buildings within a radius of tens of kilometers had been reduced to ruins.

His fingers trembled involuntarily, and the lenses reflected the distant, still-smoking scorched earth.

”Sir...” The secretary jogged over, his voice very low, ”The higher-ups have sent people. They are from the Special Adjustment Department.”

Yamada Toshio immediately frowned.

He had heard a little about this department—the Department of Anomalous Incident Investigation. Like the Bureau of Anomalous Affairs Investigation in Dragon Country and the AEO in America, it was a special agency secretly established by the Japanese government to contain and investigate unknown life forms.

The appearance of these people meant that the matter had exceeded the scope of a conventional disaster.

”How many people came?” Yamada put down the binoculars, his voice hoarse.

”Three vehicles, about fifteen people. Leading them is...” The secretary flipped open his notepad.

”Sato Ryuichi.”

Yamada Toshio’s expression grew even uglier.

The name Sato Ryuichi was a legend within the internal system. It was said that he had handled multiple ”indescribable” incidents, and each time he managed to ”resolve the matter appropriately.”

But what was more unsettling was that everyone who had worked with him either received a promotion or... never appeared again.

”Take them to Conference Room 3.” Yamada straightened his collar. ”Remember, from now on, all raw data concerning the disaster zone must pass through me before being handed over to them.”

Just as the secretary was about to nod, a disturbance suddenly arose in the distance.

The two turned their heads to look, only to see a team of people in black uniforms striding toward them. The man leading them was about forty years old, wearing gold-rimmed glasses. He looked refined, but his eyes were as cold as ice.

”No need for the trouble, Officer Yamada.” Sato Ryuichi approached with a smile, his voice so gentle it was unnerving. ”We’ll go straight to the site.”

Yamada Toshio’s back was instantly drenched in cold sweat.

He knew that the truth of this disaster was probably far more terrifying than he imagined.

And now, the most dangerous group of people in the country was stepping into that land of death.

Seeing the obvious look of fear on Yamada and the others, Sato Ryuichi’s lips curled into a mocking arc.

He reached out to adjust the Katana at his waist; the scabbard shone with a cold luster under the sunlight.

”You don’t need to follow.” His voice was still gentle, but carried an undeniable sense of command. ”Guard this place, and ensure that no one leaves the disaster zone before we come out.”

After speaking, he turned to lead his team toward that land of death.

Only then did Yamada Toshio notice that the dozen or so Special Adjustment Department members, including Sato, were not wearing any protective gear.

”Please wait!” Yamada hurriedly stepped forward. ”At least put on protective suits before going in! The radiation levels there have already gone off the charts!”

Sato Ryuichi stopped and slowly turned around. A trace of disdain flashed in his eyes, and the smile on his lips deepened.

”No need.” He shook his head gently. ”We are not ordinary people.”

Sato Ryuichi turned around, his gaze sweeping over Yamada Toshio and the others like a knife, and emphasized again: ”Remember what I said—don’t let anyone come out.”

When he spoke the three words ”anyone,” his tone suddenly intensified, each syllable hammering at the hearts of the officials present.

The Special Adjustment Department members standing behind Sato simultaneously showed knowing smiles.

They had handled too many similar incidents and naturally understood the captain’s hidden meaning—this ”anyone” included not only the victims but also the medical staff, firefighters, and Self-Defense Force personnel on the front lines of the rescue effort.

Yamada Toshio’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and fine beads of sweat seeped onto his forehead.

He certainly understood Sato’s implication, but as a local official, he had to confirm it clearly: ”Do you mean... even the rescue personnel...”

”Especially the rescue personnel.”

Sato Ryuichi interrupted him, his voice terrifyingly soft. ”What do you think those protective suits can block? Ordinary radiation, perhaps, but the situation this time is different.”

He took a step forward, close enough for Yamada to catch the faint scent of sandalwood on him.

”This is Divine Radiation, Officer Yamada. Once humans come into contact with this radiation, they will begin to... mutate.”

He paused, as if choosing his words carefully. ”First, the skin ulcerates, then the internal organs dissolve, and finally... they turn into mindless monsters.”

The team members behind Sato exchanged glances.

Some of them had already witnessed this transformation—a living person turning into a monster that frantically bit its companions within just a few hours.

”Therefore,”

Sato Ryuichi stepped back, resuming his polite demeanor. ”Please be sure to seal off all exits. If an infected person escapes...”

He smiled meaningfully. ”You know the consequences.”

Yamada Toshio’s hands trembled uncontrollably.

He recalled the injured people he had just seen, remembering their ulcerated skin, remembering the uncontrollable nosebleeds... a chill shot straight up his spine from the soles of his feet.

”I... I understand.” He nodded with difficulty. ”Your instructions will be carried out.”

Sato nodded in satisfaction and turned to lead his team toward the disaster zone... Meanwhile, in the deepest part of the explosion center, a pitch-black rift silently tore through space.

Lin Zhi stepped out of the void, his black trench coat flapping loudly in the scorching airflow.

He looked down at the massive pit several kilometers in diameter beneath his feet, a playful smile curling on his lips.

”Mizaru’s move certainly packs a punch,” he muttered to himself, clicking his tongue. ”I should try it next time I get the chance.”

Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to a patch of white tents in the distance.

There were still faint signs of life there, standing out prominently in the surrounding silence.

”Oh? It seems there are still people there.” A flicker of interest crossed Lin Zhi’s eyes, and his figure flashed, disappearing from the spot.

The next second, he was hovering above the temporary medical area.

Through the thick smoke, he saw dozens of rescue personnel in protective suits futilely treating the injured.

But in his eyes, these people were already shrouded in black mist invisible to the naked eye—traces of Divine Radiation.

Lin Zhi spoke, ”They are dead for sure.”

Without further ado, Lin Zhi directly stated the fate of these people.

Just then, his perception captured a dozen or so rapidly approaching auras.

Turning his head, he saw the Special Adjustment Department members led by Sato Ryuichi quickly closing in, each one radiating cold killing intent.

Lin Zhi’s eyes narrowed slightly. With his insight, he instantly understood the purpose of these people—they were here to ”cleanse” the area.

”Interesting...” A dangerous curve lifted the corner of Lin Zhi’s mouth. His gaze swept back and forth between the rescue personnel and the Special Adjustment Department members. ”I’ve thought of a fun game.”

He lightly snapped his fingers, and a wisp of dark red energy flickered at his fingertip.

”However, even if these contaminated ordinary people turn into monsters, they are no match for those professional Cleaners...”

Lin Zhi thoughtfully rubbed his chin, and suddenly his eyes lit up. ”How about... turning them into more powerful monsters, and letting them fight each other?”
