I Created a Containment Object at the Start, and Became a God

97: Looking for some fun! Japan hit by a massive earthquake!Lin Zhi watched the entire process of Jirō summoning the demon legion, ordering a massacre, and pressing toward the four remaining members of the Special Adjustment Department.

He slowly rose from his invisible throne, stretching languidly as if he had just finished watching a rather exciting play.

”Hmm... the effect is better than expected.”

He yawned, evaluating in a flat tone, ”The purity and quantity of darkness in this Host’s heart are quite good; it has actually brought out some of the Bloodthirsty Mask’s power.”

His gaze seemed to penetrate space, seeing the life essence within Jirō’s body being frantically drained by the mask, rapidly diminishing like a candle in the wind.

”However... this kind of overdraft usage won’t last much longer.”

He calculated casually, ”At this rate, if he unleashes his full power two or three more times... his lifespan should be completely sucked dry.”

Lin Zhi didn’t care in the slightest about the ultimate fate of Jirō, this consumable item.

His lifespan was the only thing Lin Zhi cared about; at least he could gain forty to fifty years of lifespan from Jirō.

He even looked forward to seeing what interesting expression this poor worm, devoured by power, would show when he suddenly felt his life being drained and completely annihilated in the midst of extreme revelry.

As for what would happen to the powerful Bloodthirsty Mask after Jirō’s death... Lin Zhi’s lips curved into a mysterious smile.

As for what would happen to the mask afterward... that was not something he needed to worry about.

Because when Lin Zhi created it, he had already set it up... when a Host dies, it will conceal itself, and then... go find the next fated person whose heart is full of darkness and desire, suitable to carry it.

”Desire... is its best navigation.”

He took one last look at the street below, which had been completely swallowed by gore and chaos, and the figure madly slaughtering surrounded by demons, as if he had just finished watching a fireworks display.

At this moment, Lin Zhi opened his character panel.

His gaze lingered slightly on the ”containment points” and ”Status” items.

The last battle indeed yielded a significant harvest.

Successfully containing the Three Wise Monkeys provided him with nearly fifteen thousand containment points.

Although creating and deploying the two big toys, the Devour World Womb and the Bloodthirsty Mask,

each consumed over two thousand points, the remaining containment points, combined with previous accumulations, not only pushed the total points back above ten thousand, but more importantly, his status experience also increased to 6070 points.

”Only 3930 points away from true divine status...”

Lin Zhi murmured softly, his tone calm and unhurried, showing no trace of eagerness, ”As long as the next thing I create provides more than four thousand points of feedback, I can complete the ascension.”

He glanced at the ”Creation Cooldown” countdown; there were still eleven hours left of the three-day cooldown.

The system had restrictions on creating objects or abilities containing the power of rules; each time the core creation function was used, a not-so-short ”cooldown” period was required to calm the ripples of rules and accumulate energy.

However, he was not in a hurry. The path to godhood was long and interesting, and he had plenty of time and patience.

Moreover, observing the ripples these ”toys” created in the world was a pleasure in itself.

His gaze once again turned to the chaotic Tokyo district outside the window.

The roars of demons, the screams of humans, and the sounds of collapsing buildings were still faintly audible.

Jirō and his hell legion were continuously spreading fear and death.

”Making such a big commotion...”

Lin Zhi’s lips curved into an amused arc, ”Those so-called masters and trump cards kept by the Japanese government should almost be forced out to clean up the mess, right?”

He was very curious how this world’s indigenous forces would react to the ”evil seeds” he casually sowed.

However, none of this was what he needed to concern himself with now.

The opening gongs had sounded, and the show was about to begin, but he, the screenwriter and audience, had already finished the prologue and didn’t need to stay in front of the stage.

”I’ve seen enough of the play.”

Lin Zhi stretched languidly, as if shaking off a trace of weariness after watching the performance.

”It’s time to wander elsewhere. To see if there are other... places worth sowing in Tokyo.”

With that, his figure began to blur and become transparent, like a reflection merging into water, and imperceptible ripples spread through the surrounding space... As night deepened, the smoke of war in Tokyo’s Adachi Ward finally began to dissipate under the strong intervention of the Self-Defense Forces and special units.

Gunfire and monster roars were gradually replaced by a more suffocating silence, with only scattered burning flames and the sirens of rescue vehicles narrating the hell that had just ended.

However, what terrified the Japanese authorities more than the ruins and casualties was a fact they desperately tried to conceal, which was now completely unleashed like Pandora’s Box.

Monsters truly existed and had caused a horrifying massacre in the heart of a major city.

Although the government reacted quickly, emergency cutting off network access in some areas to attempt information control, it was too late.

Countless shaky but incredibly clear videos, shot with mobile phones, had already spread like a virus across the internet.

The videos showed a massive Jirō wearing a demon mask tearing apart living people, and grotesque hell creatures chasing and devouring innocent citizens in streets and alleys.

It showed once prosperous districts turned into bloody slaughterhouses within a few hours.

These images shattered the official’s long-standing pale excuses of ”gas explosions” or ”major accidents”; the word ”monster” instantly ignited social media and the news industry across Japan.

The news reached deep into the Imperial Palace, and His Majesty the Emperor, who had always lived in seclusion, expressed extreme shock, deep concern, and anger.

At the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Nagatacho, the Prime Minister and the Chief Cabinet Secretary turned ashen and were on tenterhooks after receiving the preliminary report on the final casualties and the nature of the incident.

They could not imagine such an uncontrolled, irrational, and catastrophic event occurring in Tokyo, the empire’s core and most prosperous city.

This was not only a collapse of security defenses but also the heaviest blow to national prestige.

After communications were partially restored, the Prime Minister was forced to bite the bullet and convene an emergency press conference.

In front of the cameras, his face was heavy, his tone sorrowful, as he expressed ”deepest condolences” to the victims.

He bowed deeply in apology for the ”great unease” caused to the nation.

He promised that the government would fully investigate the truth of the incident, handle the aftermath, and strengthen security to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

However, this time, the public’s anger was not easily quelled by this ritualized ”bowing performance.”

”Liars!”

”We want the truth!”

”What is the government hiding?!”

”No more innocent people dying in vain!”

Waves of anger spread from the internet to the streets.

The grief and indignation of the victims’ families, the fear of those who witnessed it, the insecurity of ordinary citizens, and long-standing dissatisfaction with the government’s lack of transparency converged into a massive torrent.

Soon, spontaneous, large-scale protest marches erupted in major cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.

In Tokyo, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets, holding photos of the victims and placards filled with questions, demanding that the government release the full truth of the ”Adachi Ward Tragedy” and that relevant officials resign in disgrace.

The march eventually escalated into riots, with protesters clashing fiercely with riot police, bricks and tear gas flying.

The bustling streets once again plunged into chaos, only this time, the opponents were no longer inhuman monsters, but people who had completely lost trust in the government...
